"I'm from the era, them Big and Pac love days/ before the beef came I was on that D train." Co-sign!

Q- "New York Sate Of Mind"

Big ups for hopping on that Illmatic track. He didn't exactly do to it what Nas did, but it's the thought that counts. In the second segment of the video, Q spits over a Biggie-sampled joint, as taken from Life After Death's "Downfall."

And oh yeah... did I hear homie say "Every bad chick in the hood I'm tryna knock it down"? Ask Radames... that's how you commit suicide. All these rappers talking about smashing chicks are forgetting to mention the percentage of these shorties that are walking around with The Monster. You thought that Memphis Bleek's Garnier Fructis shampoo commercial was a bad look, check out the latest HIV stats. N*ggas better slow their road.

But back to the situation at hand. This Q kid isn't half bad. I can't see a "real" album made up of material like this being successful, but on some mixtape sh*t, this is definitely a good look. Not only that, but he's definitely a step-up from earlier this week, when That cornball DeX had me a little aggy.

This is the kind of underground music we want to hear. Not that biter garbage these little corny rappers are coming with.

Can he rap? Yes.
Would I pay to hear him rap? Hell no. I heard everything he is saying, in the same flow back in 1986. It was really hot back then. Now it's sounded played.

This sh*t was boring. The production? Lazy. The subject matter? Uninspired.

If by underground you mean "his mama and sister think he has talent" i agree. Aside from that, tell him its 2008 and he needs to step it up.

This dude is a OVER HYPED wanna sound like KANYE WEST rapper. His flow is so close to Kanye's it's sad that record companies can't bank on originality anymore. His freestyle over nas's hero show's he wants to be KANYE!!! Even in the interview that JD had about him he never once said what Q's flow was like he just promoted him as his new artist on the tag company. Talking about how hard he grinds that's what got him the deal and not what he sounds like Knowing he's KANYE EAST what a rip off!!! Then JD had the nerve to team him up with NO ID who jumped started Kanye's Career. No ID, Get paid fam!!!

I'm sorry to say but 95% of rappers have a recycled flow. It's just a rearrangement of words by these cats.

It's who can sell the swagger the best. But by all means get your money.

But BET should do Rapper Beef Boxing. Well see who really is Gangsta! Their have been alot of meet me in the ring for Pay Per View. And Publicize the Rappers you reach out to. If they don't accept the challenge then ---- Fake.

If i hate this man so much, I'll fight you without the risk of going to jail and living to fight another day.

I respect you more by losing in a fight then "i'ma shoot this cat, till his litter box is empty, bang his girl twenty times, i bet not see you in the streets" sorry my ill beef flow.......

But seriously lets get real, go back to the old school on the block days.....

In the words of MJ - "Who's Bad"

wackness, personified...all the way from the so so def film nod, and his wack a55 delivery, no content, and no rhymescheme wack a55.

i know this isn't anywhere near ny's best, but another lame omission.
