Lil Wayne didn't fall for it. So Curtis went for the next available victim, who, according to various reports, appears to be T.I. Of course, Fif has an album coming out.
As previously reported, T.I was trying to buy a machine gun and a couple of other things from his bodyguard-- and got caught. Following that ordeal, a bunch of other ammunition was discovered at Tip's residence. After accepting a plea deal, he got off easy. That was just last year. He is now a free man after having dodged a good amount of years behind bars.
Since 50 is supposed to be this so-called gangster, and the G-Unit album is dropping on July 1st, it's only right that he picks someone to help circulate hype for his publicity campaign. In the song "You So Tough," 50 spit the lines below:
"Nowadays this rap sh*t ain't adding up/ How n*ggas get caught with 10 machine guns, only get 12 months?/Oo-weee, don't talk to me/ If you talking to him, you talking to them.../I got the best lawyers that money can buy/ they say at best they woulda got me 10 or maybe 9./I said, how do you explain how the homie breezed?/They said, you keep your mouth shut or you eat the cheese."
MAN, FIF ALWAYS TRYIN TO PULL NIGGAZ IN AND THE FEW DUMB ONES WILL FALL HARD AND THEN IF THEY DON'T ANSWER BACK THEY GOT SON'D SO ITS A HARD PLACE TO BE WHEN YOU GOING AT IT WIT FIFTTY!
50 is cool with me just for the fact that he's on his grind gettin' money and sellin records, but his style of just taking Jabs @ other artists to gain publicity for his albums is WACK. He hasn't put out a decent record since The Massacre. He needs to retire!!! He is exposing himself, and he's also taking TOO MANY L's this year.

By the way, if T.I.P. actually pays attention to this, he will MURDER 50. U heard it here first.
50 calls somebody a snitch. He has to know that he is not the only person with a good lawyer and if he raps that buck stabbing niggas on camera and getting a year probation for attempted murder shows that right there. Money can buy you a lot of things in america.
BUT 50 IS RITE ABOUT T.I THO
50 makes songs wit Nsync members
and on carter 3 wayne said "go into ya crib shoot ya grandmother up, kidnap ya baby, and get ya baby mother fucked" sound like a jab a 50 to me
ITS FUNNY YOU DON'T HOLD TI TO 50'S STANDARDS IF THE SHOE WAS ON THE OTHER FOOT AND 50 GOT OFF YOU'D BE ALL OVER HIM TALKING ABOUT SNITCHING AND WHAT NOT. GET OF 50'S D!CK AND LET HIM LIVE NIGGA UR A BLOGGER WHO GETS PAID IN DORITO'S AND CORNER STORE JUICE'S, 50 IS WORTH $400,000,000.00 AND HAS ENDLESS REALESTATE, AND SUPERMODELS AND BEAUTIFUL WOMEN ALL OVER THE WORLD SWOONING OVER HIM AND HAS PERFORMED FOR KINGS AND QUEENS AND HAS WON COUNTLESS AWARDS, YOU'RE A BLOGGER FOR SOHH. T.I. must've had a hell of a lawyer because he was suppose to get a MINIMUM of 5 years. The Feds aren't playing with negros when it comes to have Automatic weapons and T.I. had a lot of them so it would make you think. You don't have to go to court necessarily to roll over on someone. Prodigy is getting 3 years fpr a handgun. Keep that in mind.
Here comes NY Reckless with the 50 haterade! This bloggers is a joke. 50 gettin money and he speaks his mind. The only reason it appears that it is when albums are coing out is because, he does more press then at that time period. You damn fool!

On this topic, surprisingly the cartoon character known as "G Unot Killa" actually said something partially correct. What would be said if the shoe was on the other side = if Curtis was in TI's situation (caught with a stockade of weapons) and got off with house arrest (just to enough time to get ole girl preggo again).
THIS SH*T IS SO PATHETIC on so many levels at once. 50 does not have to comment on everything. But then again, people in the Hip Hop world don't need to make such a big deal over every comment 50 makes. It's like people are starving for drama and can't wait for the next brawl.
Everybody needs to fall back on this one. And it ain't like 50 is the first or only person to have those views about the strange outcome of TI's situation. It's just that he's the one everyone loves to quote.
Dayum... people are such pawns.
SOCIAL CLUB DO YOU THINK JEEZY'S DONE NOW THE BMF IS SNITCHIN? THEY JUST SAID HE WAS ONE OF THEIR BEST CUSTOMERS.
Did 50 target TI or did he simply say what most people think?
Whoever said TI faced at least 5yrs was wrong. A felon in possession of a firearm faces at least 5yrs but a multiple felon on probation in possession of FULLY automatic firearms (at his home) and in the act of purchasing silencers and more fully automatic firearms while in possession of drugs (weed and ex) could have easily gotten LIFE. And that's before enhancements kick in.
I don't know what happened in TI's case. I know Atlanta is probably the only place he could've gotten a break like this in America. Atl is truly a black Mecca with a rich history which means a wealthy black can have access to influential people who also happen to be black that most of us are denied in other parts of the country. It's the same type of connections jews enjoy in NY or Irish in Boston.
TI's case looks fishy to me but I'm from the old school. I think everybody's a rat until proven otherwise. Having said that, why does it even matter? He's an entertainer and the last time I checked so was 50. Enjoy the show or turn it off.
Man, this is typical New York blogger bullshit. If no names were named, how can you say Fif had his target on TI? And Fif's M.O. is to actually name the name. I mean, give the nigga that much. This part of this web site is straight bullshit. This isn't two years ago where a punk blogger can post any old bullshit on here and get away with it.
What a job.....a blogger. And a bullshit blogger at that. Reckless, you're a piece of NYC garbage. And I hope your hemroids spread to your heart and brain. (Reckless loves to rub Preparation H on his chest and head)

R Kelly T.I. nuff said, aint sh!t gonna happen 2 him
@G Unot
I can't believe I'm addressing YOU. LOL!
Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory and Terry "Southwest T" Flenory pleaded guilty last November and still haven't been sentenced and neither are in the BOP. (feds) What does that sound like to you?
Big Meech's alleged supplier is a man named Craig Petties who was arrested in Mexico back in February after being on the Lam for a view years. Of course his Mexican connects gave him up once they realized he was no longer useful. A favor for a favor. That's how the game goes. Pablo Escobar and the Meddellin Cartel gave up Carlos Ledher back in the day.
At the very top of the drug trade it's hard to distinguish the good guys from the bad guys. When I hear people talking about Stop Snitching I immediately recognize they haven't ventured into criminal activity, especially drug dealing much if at all and have a surface level understanding of how criminal empires are run.
It's a dirty business and once I grasped that it was easy to just say no.
Lucky Luciano and Meyer Lansky and most of the legendary gangsters worked with the law at one point or another. How do you think Lucky got out of prison and deported? In the streets it's called "cooperating" but to them it was just business.
If you ever see someone "balling" with drug money like they got a "green light" chances are they probably do. Now ask yourself, what purpose does it serve the government to unleash purveyors of poison in our community while simultaneously letting them become role models for the next generation of suckers?
Why do so many people admire them? For the money? Are we a community of whores now?
Holla back like you got sense. I know you do.
Thats whats up G-Unot killa! They can say what they want but let Fif (a felon) get caught w/an arsenal they gone try to throw the book at em, like prodigy said the cops wont Fif locked up anyway on some dumb ish>
@Nimrod
Going... Going... It's gooone!
You knocked it out of the ballpark.
Once i heard that he had felonys and got caught redhanded by the alphabet boys with multiple illegal guns and SILENCERS,i thought,if he doesnt rat or if theres no discrepency in the way the police went about catching him,HE'S FINISHED...No less than ten years...
He might be snitching and if he's not sincere about changing his life around i dont think that he should given a pass...
Yeah,he's an entertainer but if he decides to do gangster things then i have no remorse...
He should move according to his lifestyle...Hire competent security or off duty police officers like 50 does if you fear for your safety,that doesnt make you a punk,that makes you smart.
I wouldnt entrust some weed smoking idiot from my neighborhood with my life either.
this bitch stays on 50's dick!!!
he saying what i have been wondering....
how the hell did you get caught with 10 machine guns and silencers... by the ATF...
and only get a year....
What's good regs? I trust everyone had a good weekend and all the responsible fathers enjoyed their day as I did. 50's tactics are well known by now. Whenever he has a project coming out he throws darts at rappers to build up anticipation. This time he didn't call out T.I.'s name but made it crystal clear who he was talking about. As others have pointed out above, the leniency T.I. was shown is suspicious. But on the other hand, when Black Child got at 50, 50 allegedly went to the cops and got an order of protection. That's not gangsta. Anyway, if I was T.I. I would just drop a subliminal dis back and keep it moving.
stop h8tin 50....
he's dosent sale the most records no more so stop hatin....
mission accomplished....
he's now only the biggest selling artist in NYC....
and like she said Lil Wayne didnt jump out the window....
its not fake beef... its called battle rapping... something i think you so called New Yorkers should no about.....
guarentee thats for leaving Yayo hangin at the award show!!!
@Layer
When 50 or whoever took out that order of protection it was more about tentative litigation. 50 was broke back then and like most thirsty dudes he thought about getting paid.
I believe his lung collapsed when he was stabbed so technically he could've pressed charges but he didn't. That's why Black Child is free to brag about stabbing 50 and not face the consequences.
Not saying what 50 did was or wasn't gangsta. Just wanted to clear up his motivation which I think a lot of people get confused about.
@ Nimrod
I may have to dissagree w/you Blu Divinci Got locked up and he was a millionaire. Have you noticed that ever since BMF was on Smack making it rain w/over 100k. I don't know if you checked that out but they had well over 1 million dollars in cars and other stuff. That was the crescent of their power. Jeezy just came out he had the streets on fire and Meech was starting his record label. Why on God's green earth did he come out of the shadows to flaunt his wealth human nature I guess but a year or so after the BMF starting video taping their wealth the empire crumbled. It reminds me of what Harry O (Big TImer) told Suge, Stay in the cut you have more power in the shadows that in the spotlight Suge didn't listen and look @ him now. Same thing w/ Meech. Just stupid. He had 275 mil u'd think that he have enough to get a lawyer. He used to spend 20-50k a couple of night a week making it rain. You see how Italians & other culture mafia's are in the shadows but black kingpins are very flamboyant. ala Nicky Barns another snitch.
Why is it that 50 cent does the same things that every other rapper does, but only 50 cent gets hated on for it? 3 years ago all yall niggas was on his dick.
Oh he beefed with Rocsi,
OKAY, Game beefed with Vide Guerra and lied about finger bangin her.
Oh, 50 cent is just trying to get publicity.
EVERY rapper tries to get publicity.
Oh, 50 called T.I. a snitch.
Damn right, cause that sheit DOESNT ADD UP
You faggots are just mad cause this nigga's so rich. He says the things everyone thinks but never says...
Think about it, REALLY think about it, and you'll see that 50 cent does the same thing rappers have been doing since the begining (Juice Crew / Bridge is ova) (The Takeover / Ether) ect.
Its just haters like Reckless that wanna tear that man down, but Nas is godsson for calling his album nigger.
Yall are ass backwards.

@g Unot
I hear ya. Let's see if the prosecution is saving Meech and Terry for surprise witnesses at Craig Petties trial. There's a reason they haven't been sentenced yet.
If they went sour it means at least 1000 people are going to prison. Jacob the jeweler is already on his way and he's Jewish! Everybody who ever held money, put something in their name, took cash and not report it and so on is going down and by the time they all tell and so on and so on you've got over a thousand people in prison easy. Not to mentions the thousands of family members adversely affected.
Bottom line G Unot is drug dealing has created more SNITCHES than all other crimes combined. The sentences are too harsh and the participators are often untested and soft. Bad combination.

I was watching the show "D.E.A." this weekend while i was chillin in my hotel during vacation, and their sole pupose of reaching the next level dealer/supplier is to get people to "flip" aka snitch while they are being interogated. The let them know what they are facing, and tell them they will give them a pass if the set-up their superior. Now, I never believe in snitching, but I kno alot of these people accusing T.I. of being a snitch would do the same if they had his fortune and fame, let alone being a regular ass person. Its rediculous how fast these people fold under pressure. The cops admitted on the show that most the time the dont know sh!t and just act like they do to scare the individual into sqealing. I myself have been in this situation before thankfully I wasnt caught with anything jus wrong place wrong time scenario and I knew not to fold because they had nothing on me. Other people arent so lucky, and the same people that act so hard all the time will find themselves ratting out all day. Their is something called street justice though. I dont know if you have heard about the steroids dealer that co-operated with the feds and gave names of players and other he sold to. Well, a week later he was found dead in his house. You know what saves you from another, might get your ass from someone else. But I thats it was real stupid how the feds admitted earlier that week that a patriots player had co-oped with them, and after that dealers death retracted that statement QUICKLY. I found it ironic how this same white player was being protected in every sense of the word while admittedly destroying the integrity of the game and it was easily looked over not even a major news story, but mike vick was publicly crucified for something that was wrong too, but had no barring on the game itself
NIGGA IF YOU LIVE THE NO SNITHING THING DONT COMPLAINA BOTU WHITEY CUX ITS NIGGAZ HOLDING U DOWN. FUCKL ALL CRIMINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Meech and T both got thirty years ALREADY they been sentenced. Blu just plead guilty two weeks ago before the latest trial started. AIn't none of them snitching on any BMF people. Blu probably gonna get 15 years same a J bo.
Just like 50's snitch azz said, "Dont go against me or its R.i.p"

A that sh1t was funny as hell, T.I. like "NO" tony yayo u gets no love, I think thats y Fiddy was acting like a clown later in the show
@N8GGAZ Don't read
I'll bet anythis Meech and his brother are cooperating. I don't have proof but since you wanna wave the BMF flag even at this late date explain this... why are those 2 not in federal custody even though they copped out last November to federal charges?!
I remember reading the faced 30yrs in exchange for the plea but direct me to where they got sentenced if you know.
I know niggaz doing 24yrs for being on a phone call! But these dudes sold over 270m in drugs and get 30?!
Lets not forget the double homicide in Atlanta where Wolf got killed and other incidents.
They took the 30 so they can tell their way do to 5 or less and be home in a flash. Do you really think the feds weren't on to these morons from the start?
F*ck Meech and BMF. That ain't hate that's what it is. They did absolutely NOTHING to be admired for. They couldn't even sell drugs right.
@Haha
I agree. My cousin is a fed and he told me that he and his boys take bets about how soon people will flip. We're not talking days. We're talking when the cuffs go on to in the car to in the precinct. Most start folding before they even get in the backseat.
BMF = Basic Moronic Fools.
@ Nimrod
Yea the show took place in Detroit one of the most gutter cities (if not the most) in the US, and these people would flip in a matter of minutes if not seconds. The agents even joked in one segment laughing at a scared C.I. and told him "are job is serious all the time, you dont think we need to get a laugh in every once in awhile"
and while these guys who make mils in drug money are bragging about car clothes and hos, i dont kno hy they dont purchase police protection. I personally knew a dealer around my way that had the boys as we call it, on his team. He prolly co-oped with them too, but at the end of the day he was free to do what he pleased on the way to making millions but eventually that street justice caught up and he was found dead in Baltimore in his hummer
@Haha
I think it's fair to say 75% of all drug dealers cooperate to some degree. Some go all out and tell on EVERYBODY when caught. The boys slap them once to make em talk and then gotta slap em 50x to shut em up. Others are selective about who they're willing to give up. Like somebody of another race or from another city.
Drug dealers make for some of the weakest criminals. Don't get me wrong there's some thorough dudes who sell drugs too but most are just wannbe celebs who crave attention like chics. You know, like Meech and the band of misfits who emulated him. And the entertainers are not much different that's why they get along so good. All a bunch of chicks with dicks.
They risk their freedom and lives for attention and cheap women. Once arrested they can't believe how dumb they've been and seek to give back the bad hand they were dealt but most times it's too late. They lack principle and stand for nothing but instant gratification which is why they fold like beach chairs at the slightest provocation.
@ Nimrod
Yea I did my dirt b4 and I noticed one day that it aint worth it, it makes u less human or more less a christian of coarse but also I felt that i didnt HAVE to do it look some others that are victims of the projects. Some get it whiles its good and just get to greedy, It comes a point when u gotta convert or ya dirt will catch up with u, it always does. But I had te most humbling expierience when I started to get my sh1t together when I was chilling around a local hood, and a old friend who has done his share or dealing due to the fact his family lives in poverty (which is no excuse get a education it will pay off) and another local "trap star" and these guys were braggin about how much crack distribution charges they have and how they are still on the streets. 1) i noticed these guys had to be snitchin some way or how (prolly like how u said pick and choose someone the dont like or outta towner) and 2) why the hell am i here with these fuckin low lifes. I am a young man, and this was a grown ass man braggin bout distribution charges WTF is that i guess that gets to your point of dealers being the weakest criminal

50cent worth how much? why cause he said so? Forbes just proved he lied he make $150on vitamin before taxes and chris lighty, at the end of the day he profited about 62mil total. He ain't worth more than 200 if that these days. spend and gets less income now.
Here we go again!! Lets see if T.I. takes the bait. 50 trying to get some buzz going because that TOS album aint making any noise. I haven't heard 1 person say they waiting on that album to drop
50 is really one of the greatest con artists and gimmicks of contemporary popular culture. 50 calls TI a snitch. What comical hypocrisy. F8ck 50. I am tired about talking about that no talent fraud.
I want to talk about Lil Wayne. My dude gave me a copy of Carter 3 on Saturday and I must say that I was surprised that I was able to sit through the whole joint. The joint was much better than I expected but then again I was expecting nothing but garbage. However that is not my point. My problem with Wayne is his sh*tting on Al Sharpton. Now while I applaud Wayne in trying to talk about some social issues on at two of his joints his diss of Al Sharpton was not only incoherent but out of line.
Let me say this; The reason why I protect most Black leaders is because they are at least on the battlefield. Sure they make mistakes. Sure their intention are not always good but because of them some one’s life is better and I appreciate that even if I don’t fully agree with them. Like some of you I am out there and see the problems we have and see the apathy that surround these situations. However what piss me off is when the apathetic among us are the one who are always complaining about Al or some one but are not doing anything to solve our problem and their personal problems themselves. Wayne has such exposure now that he could easily put the issue of Katrina back on the map and not with 1 song (which he deserves credit for that) but by bringing a new awareness to that situation particularly since he is the hottest and most popular rapper in America today. He has surpassed 50 in popularity. So if he put Katrina out there his words and influence could create positive movement with respect to rebuilding the N.O. not to mention what his money could do but yet his @ss want to sit back and criticize Al.
I just have a pet peeve with cats who sh*t on Black leaders but are not doing anything to help the situation themselves. I mean you don’t have to wait for Al or any Black leader to lead you to help yourself, your family, community and people. Why are you pissed at them when you are not doing sh*t to help better the situation. So Wayne; learn knowledge of self and then go to work for your people and then criticize Al otherwise please just shut the F8ck up. The same holds true for wak @ss David Banner.

There is no proof he "snitched" on anyone and black people need to get out of that no snitching bull. It must not be working if we are still filling up prisons across the country. I will just say this if I'm facing some years I'm snitching on everybody and anybody who didn't have something to do with bringing me into this world and thats only two people.

The reason why hiphop site's and people who are interested in hiphop focus on stuff like this is because hiphop news gets slow sometimes.
Thats where people like 50,Kanye,and Lil Wayne come in.
You need people like them to make an occational gaffe or silly remark to make things interesting again.
I think it was smart of the people at Sohh to add other blogs like hiphop4prez although i think it could be bigger than what it is.

I think Wayne and David Banner spoke on Al after he sought to speak on what they consider "their" industry in a negative way. Although Al is not a rapper he has every right to speak on the imagery of black people perpetuated by them and their industry. Btw, I don't condone David Banner's sexually explicit insult to Sharpton and I happen to agree with Sharpton's criticism of the industry. BUT you open the door for people to critique you when you criticize them or their livelihood.
The same goes for Al and Black leaders. Anytime your actions affect the population at large or you claim to be a leader of the people you must be willing to accept the criticisms of your professed constituency. We have the right to not only question our leadership but express discontent.
Lastly, from a military analogy. Just because someone is on the "battlefield" as you say doesn't make them worthy of praise. During the Gulf War we lost more soldiers from "friendly fire" than anything else. Some people aren't fit for combat much less to LEAD.

Everybody click on my name and checkout the REAL person who's behind the possible presidency of Barack Obama.
I would implore all of you to pick up this book:
Title: Second Chance: Three Presidents and the Crisis of American Superpower (Hardcover)
Author: Zbigniew Brzezinski
Subject(s): United States -- Foreign relations -- 1989 to present
Publication date: May 5, 2007
Pages: 244
Zbigniew Brzezinski was President Carter's National Security advisor and remains a scholar of American foreign policy as a professor at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University.
In Second Chance, Dr. Brzezinski writes about the last 15 years of American foreign policy where the U.S., emerging as the "victor" in the Cold War, has been the lone "superpower."
He writes about how the last three presidents, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush, have demonstrated leadership and wielded power in the last decade and a half as the leader of a virtually unchallenged world power.
Brzezinski sets the book up by giving his history of the Cold War, and how it was a combination of presidents, not just Ronald Reagan, and international events that lead to the demise of the Soviet system.
He describes the two emerging views of the world as the "Globalization" view and the "Neoconservative" view.
In each of the next three chapters, he describes the president, his foreign policy team, and the events and people which shaped that president's foreign policy.
He focuses on three main factors, the "Atlantic Alliance," nuclear non-proliferation, and the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, but discusses other foreign policy issues (e.g. the environment, emerging South American nationalism, and the rise of China and India).
In the middle three chapters, "The Original Sin" (Bush I), "The Impotence of Good Intentions" (Clinton), and "Catastrophic Leadership" (Bush II), he compares the presidents and the decisions made or not made by their foreign policy teams.
He is equally critical of Bush I and Clinton and rates them nearly the same, but with different strengths and weaknesses.
He is harshest on the Bush II administration, particularly with regard to its treatment of the Atlantic Alliance, the Middle East, and the environment.
In the chapter titled "After 2008," Dr. Brzezinski suggests the next president must strengthen the Atlantic Alliance; reform lobbying; demonstrate leadership in the Middle East, particularly with regard to Israel/Palestine; foster consensus on the environment; and formulate a better strategy with regard to the emergence of China both as a world power and a force in the Middle East.
He warns that America will have a second chance after 2008, but there definitely won't be a third chance.

WHAT'S GOOD, Y'ALL
Poppin in for the first time since morning to drop some quick comments:
@ BIGUP2BK. Regarding 50 being the biggest fraud of all time, I think the dude has created a monster that he can't control - that being his own very noticeable image and Hollywood-like persona. He's in that "Amy Winehouse & Lindsey Lohan" category now where anything he does or says will get coverage. "Coming up on the 5 o'clock news, Rapper Fiddy Cent spills ice cream on his shirt while shopping at a midtown boutique"
Dude wanted to get noticed, now he can't take a sh*t without needing to hold a press conference as well. The extent of his celebrity is more than he bargained for as a gangsta rapper. Every opinion is made into an "act of beefing"
I'M EXPERIENCING A DELAYED REACTION TO THE R. KELLY RULING.
It must be because it was so fantastically unbelievable that my brain shifted into denial mode in order to save itself from an aneurysm. WHAT DA F#CK WAS THAT???????? In no exaggeration, I'm having the same disbelief that I experienced after the Sean Bell case. Al Sharpton said "Justice wasn't miscarried, it was aborted." Now we should say that justice was just given a golden shower.
I want to run to Chicago myself and slap the jury members in person! So that's what putting out good "baby-making music" will do for ya, huh!!! That being said, I wish to introduce to you the last great prophet of our day - Aaron McGruder, the creator of THe Boondocks cartoon. Seriously, y'all... seriously!!! I can't distinguish reality from that cartoon right about now. Everybody run to Youtube and watch that "R. Kelly on Trial" episode. It was so accurate that it hurts.
The thing that just kills me is the reports we're reading from the jury members. R. Kelly going around saying "I told you so, I told you that wasn't me!" But the jury members say that they totally believe it was him. So why didn't they throw the book at him? Well, they are not totally convinced about the girl's identity because the witnesses that say it was have an ax to grind. BUT THAT SICK DUDE WAS STILL MOLESTING A CHILD!!! If you don't got her name right, find out what it is - but don't let that nasty creep walk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yo, seriously!!! This is so stunningly wrong that it make you wanna go postal.
@ NIMROD & ATHEIST. I'm interested to hear your responses to the discussion and comments I left
@ Nim:
I agree that a high level of accountabilty should be expected out of our leaders. However I am also a little old school when it come to those who are critical of pur leaders and are making an effort to help change things to a more positive situation and those who are critical and are also sitting on their @ss doing nothing.
I liken it to OJ crying racism to Black community during his murder trial and asking for our support or Clarence Thomas talking about a high tech lynching and asking for our support or women being asked to be supportive of R. Kelly after this n8gga has raped a 13 year old girl and we have it on tape. Oh btw, for the dummies who may argue with me for calling what R. Kelly DID rape - well when an adult has consentual sex with a 13 year old that is called rape.
Anyway, I guess in this regard i am a republican....lol. I just don't want to hear sh*t from n*ggas who sit on their @ss and then cry that their leaders aren't doing sh*t.
I am also sensitive to the issue because I occupy a leadership role. I don't want any one Black or white to work for me and expect preferential treatment when they are not worthy of it. I expect effort and performance at a high level from anyone who work for me and if I see that than I will use whatever “little†influence I have to push and move them forward. However if a person is barely getting it done or is not getting it done at all than don’t look at my leadership and call me a failure just because your @ss is too apathetic, pathetic and lazy to be a professional and worthy of praise and promotion.
Some of our people are looking for the second coming of Jesus. They expect someone to improve their life without them making any personal sacrifice or any contribution to the effort of improving their life. Barak asked Black fathers to come back and raise their children. Well a part of me salute that request and another part of me also says understand the systemic factors that are creating some (not all) of these absentee father situations. Anyway he is putting the onus on us. Well if we don’t respond to his call does that mean he is a terrible leader. Does a dead beat dad have the right to question Barak’s leadership on issues regarding children when he is an absentee father and is off some where sitting on his @ss.
That just burns me up, Brother. Al and all of them at times leadership has not been worth the dried up gum on the bottom of my shoe. However the good news about their suck @ss leadership is it gives an excellent opportunity for someone else to step in and lead but we won’t do it. We rather sit on the sidelines and complaint about sh*t and problems with our dormant inactivity and pathetic attitudes as we continue to be a burden to our communities. Then when sh*t gets really bad we blame Al for it.
I am sorry brother but I am just tired of us expecting senior citizens (Al, Farrakhan and Jesse) to clean up the sh*t that we could clean up ourselves. To me to blame those dudes at this point is a copp out. We don’t need them for us to be a father, grab employment, be self sufficient, have self respect, pride and to set a positive example for those who are coming behind us. A lot of this sh*t is a self inflicted wound and blaming Al isn’t going to change the condition. Once we decide to get up off our collective @ss and create the change we want then things will get better but until then things will be the same even 50 years after Jessie, Al and Farrakhan are dead and gone. It is time for cats like Wayne and others to stop “scape-goating†and blaming our leaders particularly when many of us are sitting down every day watching the train wreck happen over and over again. It really frustrate me, Brother. It does. Where are all the Sean Bell supporters. Where is Wayne at on the Sean Bell case. Oh but I guess since this case has not reach the feds yet it is Al’s fault. N8ggers, man.... See it is really difficult for any one to lead n*ggers. It is much easier to lead Black people.
Sorry for venting.....smh....

About Weezy going at Al Sharpton, here's me also coming to Al's defense (for all those who say I only bash people like him). On one side, Sharpton must understand that he's going to get mud on his face everytime he tries to venture into the Hip Hop world.
But even so, Lil Weezy aint in the place to get after Sharpton. Al is not a fellow rapper for Weezy to be trying to beef with him. Even 50 Cent (when Al and Jesse decided to go after him for his negative music) surprisingly kept quiet - at least he didn't throw out a diss record. That type of sh*t is for rapper vs. rapper. Al Sharpton, no matter how critical I am at times of him, is not in that category and should be respected as such.
Sounds to me like an artificial attempt by Wayne to appear "socially-conscious" or provocative. Stick to your lollipops and your lolliPop (aka Baby, aka kissin yo daddy for Father's Day).
Watch Weezy use that last play of words on his next record. Yeah, it was corny but it's no different from the rhymes he be spittin.
"He - he - licked me like my lolliPop..."
LMAO. Oh dayum, I'm experiencing Weezy radiation like the rest of the world now too!!!
Hell naw, I ain't co-signing his album. That fool is just dumbing-down our standards and taste in Hip Hop. And for the record, everyone that has released their remix of "A Milli" has killed Wayne's original. The CRAZIEST version I heard was today from Chris Brown. CHRIS BROWN??? And HE murked Wayne on his own joint as well.
@ React
50 is addicted to attention. I think that Will Smith, Russell Simmons and Jay Z set the example and gave the paradigm for how Black moguls who wealth was birthed by the rap industry to handle themselves. Even Puffy and Dr. Dre handles themselves with maturity and dare I say “class†that speaks to their economic status.
However 50 is acting like he is the Vince McMahon of Rap music. Here is a guy who is worth 400 million dollars and can’t stand not being the center of attention. This is a real sickness. His insecurity is amazing. His persona would almost lead you to believe that he is broke. I have never seen an elevated and mature 50 and now that the “jig†is up and the shot 9 times gimmick has run dry and his music has become stale- he is now embarrassingly desperate at being the most relevant person in rap public eyes which he no longer is. This sh*t is a drug to him.
In terms of R. Kelly I was really pissed off that they let that dude walked. I had a little girl that passed away but if she was still here that cat could have raped her. Anyone with a mother or a sister or have any female at all in their life can’t be happy with that result. I mean that is just crazy. It is beyond explanation other than it was a case of jury nullification.
@ React:
Your point is also my point (regarding Weezy). I mean Al has F8cked up on many occassions but if you are inactive then shut up. I think cats should earn the right to be critical. The passport to asessing those who are trying to make a positive difference is trying to make a positive difference yourself.
I am the type of cat where if i don't like something I change it or at least try.
Anyway; i have to run. I will catch up with you cats, later.

I read what you said and I don't have a problem with your understanding of what is written. It simply isn't my understanding. Also, My views and Atheist's views about spirituality are far from identical so lumping me with your responses to HIS position won't ever get a response from me. I made it clear I didn't buy into the miraculous conception or the Divinity of Christ as explained by most christians.
@Atheist
Those things about Brzezinski is what I've been saying all along. When I talk about WWIII I'm not having a fatalist attitude. People like Brzezinski feel that world war is necessary to advance their agenda and with Obama in office we move much closer. Iran is one thing but Pakistan is where it will get set off and Obama has already expressed a willingness to "look" for Bin Laden in Pakistan. Stay tuned.
@Bigup
Peace bruh. Not all but a handful of so-called leaders have displayed self-serving counter productive behavior on numerous occassions. Just like the Democrats shouldn't take our support for granted neither should they. Dialogue and discussion should be welcome whereever truth is embraced. Unless there is validity to the criticism it will come and go serving only to undermine the critic's voice.
To not encourage dialogue and freedom of expression is tantamount to CENSORSHIP. That right there is a slippery slope my friend.
I'm aware of Dr. King's extra-marital affairs yet they do NOTHING to undermine his work so great is his legacy.
If only the same can be said of some of these oother jokers.

I don't think I lumped your views with Atheist's - at least I certainly didn't mean to; if I did, I missed the mark. The matter at hand wasn't the question of his divinity, which is really only the persuasion of committed Christians (as Mohammed's "supreme prophet" status is to committed Muslims). Rather, it was whether or not the scriptural account confirmed that he was unwilling to go against the powers that be. Hence the quote.
And you don't have to be well-versed in the New Testament or any other sacred literature. It's just that I make the point that all of us (when commenting on other religions/philosophies/mythologies) should discuss it according to what those people consider the source of heir ideology. That goes for Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, the whole nine.
Peace!

In my firm opinion, Weezy is dumbing down the standards of lyricism and production. 50 Cent is laying up some duds of late, but one thing that distinguishes him from Weezy is...
* Weezy is the "hottest" (most popular, not the best) rapper right now. That means he is setting trends that others are going to follow, especially if they just want to be popular. So fools are adopting his retarded, intoxicated, punchline-only flow (giggles and all). Stupid, money-hungry record execs are going to be molding the next Weezy copycat.
* 50 Cent has not influenced any copycat artists, even when he was at his hottest. He certainly ain't doing it now with his worse records - in fact, he's doing more following than leading. So Wayne wins the "dumbing-down" trophy.
* What's really stupid is 50/G Unit still CAN make bangers, as evidenced by their last two mixtapes. Straight fire, even the haters gotta admit it. BUT WHEN IT COMES TO THE MAJOR RELEASES, they put up garbage!!! Whether or not one likes the gun-talk, Curtis is still one of the most potent to do "gun-talk."
* But whoever you are, it's just like desperate cheerleaders of "all things Souf" to write off my critique of Weezy as something regional. Why art thou so homotional? Weezy could be from any region or country on the planet, and his Cookie Monster routine wouldn't fly with me.
AND I'M NOT GOING TO LISTEN TO THE CD SO I DON'T GET CONTAMINATED.

@ Nim:
I don’t frown upon dialogue and critical discussion (although there are some benefits to dictatorial policies and practices if you ask me....lol.). What I frown upon are those people who have never done anything in the community but yet they are highly critical of some one who has and is working in the community. I see people like that as obstructionists. I remember Kwame Ture asking people like that to shut up because all they are doing is causing confusion and he is right. If you are looking at everything from a far and you never get on the ground and see the reality and practicality of situation then how can you really grasp what is going on.
Right now I am trying think of something that I could do that would relieve some of these elderly grandparents from raising their grandchildren. Oh and it is not like the parents of these children are dead. No that is not the case at all. Most of them are strung out on drugs or have given up the kids so that they can fully engage in a relation with some one who is not the biological mother or father of the child.
I was dealing with a lesbian 15 year old female 3 years ago who was thrown out of her mother’s house because the girl would not give up any @ss to the mother’s boyfriend. So the mother’s boyfriend told the child’s mother that the that the little girl was throwing passes at him and the dumb mother believed him and threw her 15 year old girl out in to the streets. The kid called me up and told me she was homeless with where no where to go. I see and hear sh*t like this all the time. I know kids who are prostituting at age 15 and 16 that I run into who still want to go to college but because they have been living in the streets or living with a grandmother who can’t control them they are “hoing†or selling drugs as a way of collecting money to survive. This is what I am dealing with on the weekends. I have been a mentor to many kids and have treated some like they have been my own kids. I have bought kids’ college books. Some kids who were homeless I got them into college just so they could have a place to live for 9 months out of year and when the break comes they have stayed with some friends and family and sometimes me.
I have seen the work that the Black Greeks have done in the community with young people looking for college and employment opportunities. I don’t like the idea of black people calling themselves Greeks because the Greeks were thieves but I am not going to get caught up on that because I see what they are doing in the community. I have seen the Nation of Islam take in cats who if they did not find the Nation would be out there killing people as I type. I saw the Nation of Islam clean up Mayfair Mansion projects in SE DC which was one of most violent and drug infested housing project in America. What the cops could not do for years the Nation of Islam did in one week. They made the housing project so safe that they even moved members of the NOI into the complex. They created a security firm and hired people from the project with employmen.
I have seen countless politicians have job fairs in various cities and communities. I have seen them raise money for kids to go to college. I have seen them provide and create recreational leagues so that kids could stay off the streets. I am remember reading in Boston several years ago that some politician up there started a Midnight Basketball league in one of the housing projects up there in an effort to keep Black kids off the streets during that time of night and to get them some where, where they would be safe. Their stats showed that most kids in Boston were being killed in the summer between the hours of 12:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. in the morning. So they started a midnight summer basketball league during the kill hours to offset the violent. They also provided police protection at the games. The initiative was a huge success. So I know politicians who are out there making a contribution. I know cops who have mentor kids who they met in the streets.
I have seen Jesse ‘swork and the works of the Rainbow coalition. I have seen the doors that they have opened for black folks in corporate America. I have seen how Jesse have pressed the issue of Black coaches and owners in the sports industry and the creation of more corporate opportunities for black folks in corporate America. I have seen the work he has done for Black colleges.
I mean I humbly say to you that I am out there. I work to get Black people into college and I help them clean up their credit and make money off the money they already have. I also help ex offender re-enter their communities with minimal difficulties. Every city I have ever lived in I have made sure that I immediately made my self known in the community and got to work with young people (meaning teenagers) around the issue of education and self empowerment.
This is why I get really angry with people because I am out there (not to brag) and I see the problems we have and I see the apathy in the community and so I get fed up with these talkers who do nothing but talk. If you (not you) want to talk then find a young cat and talk to him. Stop criticizing Al (not you) and start criticizing yourself (not you). People should say “what I am doing to help make this thing better?†. The reason you blog on SOHH is because you want these cats to become self sufficient and responsible young men who do not see societal obstacles as impediments but challenges that can be and should be met and overcome. You dare them to think and be a more responsible Black man. You tell them to shun people who want to blame white folks for all of our problems. You tell them that they are capable of fixing the problem themselves and I agree with you - however I am saying stop blaming Black leaders for your problems fix the problem yourself.
So for me to have Weezy pop sh*t when I and a ton of others are out there and we don’t have 1/16th of the of resources he has or the influence he has on the same group of young Black people we are trying to reach bothers me. To add insult to injury does nothing but fill this group we all want to reach heads up with nothing but debauchery and is critical of Al for calling a spade a spade.
It’s a character defect of mine but I hate people who are like that. So this is why I say get involve (not you because you are already involve) because at least in my eyes it makes your objection to these leaders more credible. Relieving these grandmothers who are in their 60's and 70's from raising their teenage children can be done without Al.
Anyway; I am venting because we can use all the help we can get regardless of a person’s ideology. If he or she is willing to make a positive change in a young person life then I am for it. KSH came on here the other day and she is from Tennessee and lives in Alabama but she has been to New Orleans several times helping out down there. She also went down there with a team of professors from her Alma Mata and engaged in research that was used to help assess the needs of New Orleans. E. Frazier not only employs a group of Black men and supervise them but he also coaches football which involves Black young men. He is always in their ear teaching them. Nsite is a sister who use to come on here. She didn’t accept the bullsh*t that the DC public school system was telling her. She got involved and organized others to help make the needed changes to the policies that impacted not only her brilliant daughter but other children in the district as well.
We had a brother on here who use to chop it up with us and he got so inspired that he stop blogging and applied to college and went to college. He use to be a reg on here but he got tired of Blogging and talking about black issues. He said I am going to get a degree so that I can change my reality. I hate to say it but these are the kinds of people I really respect because they are not talkers but do-ers. I take more stock in their criticism of Al than I do Weezy because they are actually out there doing the work which is a lot more than I can say for Lil Wayne.
@Atheist
The Age of Reason sounds like something I'd enjoy reading. The other things sound like attempts to set up Utopia or NWO.
@React
Ok cool. Like I said I haven't read the Gospel in ages but I recall my reaction to it more than specific examples of scripture. I remember feeling Jesus was being very cautious as any MAN in his position should be. The speaking in parables were in my eye a way to keep from getting pinned down by people who constantly tried to get him to put his foot in his mouth. I never had a problem with his message. I just found him to be very human and revealing truths that weren't exclusive to him. I see him as an enlightened master at best. That about sums up MY thoughts on Jesus.
BTW; not only Peace to you Nim but to the my Brothers React and Athiest.
@Bigup
I hear you LOUD and CLEAR. I guess my feelings are if the results are substantial enough words alone cannot undermine them.
I believe in checks and balances for EVERYONE. We even have that on this blog and it works fine. Cats have differing opinions and that's good. It keeps everyone from straying too far from the center. It should be that way in life as well.
If I'm a public figure I'd welcome the opportunity for my record to silence the hecklers. That's the only way to relieve them of their power. However, if their words are hitting too close to home then naturally I have a problem.
When Malcolm attacked Elijah publicly the NOI was in many ways a far more positive influence in black neighborhoods than today yet the truth in his words caused panic and worse within the Nation. I say that to say if a criticism be based in truth then let the accused stand the test of public scrutiny. We love our heroes if indeed they are our heroes. What's there to be afraid of?
The same way Marion Barry got reelected after smoking crack on TV and doing time because he was so loved is the same way any leader can overcome accurate criticism. If their record is undeniable nothing will stop them anyway. BUT if their record is a bunch of bullsh!t and smoke and mirrors.... LOL!
