German "Rapper" Frantic for the Limelight, Attacks Miss Jones for her use of Racial Slurs

Hot 97's Miss Jones
This is how you capitalize off of your 15 minutes of fame from being on "Miss Rap Supreme"?
Yawn.
Hot 97 radio host Miss Jones, famous for her ribald morning show, once again makes news for offensive racist slurs. Earlier this week, Miss Jones interviewed the German rapper Lionezz, ostensibly to poke fun at her for being cut from VH1's Miss Rap Supreme. Unfortunately, the tone quickly descended from jokey to racist, as Miss Jones compared Lionezz to the Nazis!
At first, Lionezz rhymed and Miss Jones and her studio mates began cracking jokes. Lionezz has been in the business for almost ten years and is no stranger to criticism. However, these comments were not about skills, they were straight up personal, so Lionezz responded with insults in German. This was apparently too much for the high and mighty Hot 97 staff, so they cut off Lionezz's mic and began slinging racist slurs like "Heil Hitler!" "Shine my boots!" and "Mein Reich siegt!" (Victory to my Reich!).
Lionezz may be German, but she is of Armenian immigrant origin and grew up suffering abuse from the real ethnocentric Neo-Nazis. How ludicrous that Lionezz would cross the ocean to be compared to her enemies by an ignorant American!
Beyond Lionezz, Miss Jones showed her complete disregard for the millions of victims of the Nazi regime, who suffered true political persecution and do not deserve to be cheapened by a music shock jock. Miss Jones has exercised similarly bad judgment in the past, when she was suspended in 2005 for racist comments against Asians after the Tsunami crisis. Miss Jones is supposed to be part of a multicultural art form, but once again, she has abused her platform by spewing racist vitriol, and deserves to be held accountable.
And her camp felt they needed to email blast a press release about this issue. Alrighty...
First and foremost, there are CURRENTLY-- yes, in 2008-- innocent black kids in Crown Heights, Brooklyn being jumped and tear gassed in the streets by racist Hasidic Jews, almost as if this is a scene snatched from right out of "A Bronx Tale." So come again with the tear-jerker "remember the millions of victims of the Nazi regime" approach. I've had a friend living in Williamsburg, Brooklyn chased down the street by a bunch of Jewish teens spewing heaps of slurs and insults from out of the car window. And it goes on and on.
Yes, we know the Halocaust (Jewish genocide) was a horrible thing to have happened. That's why it amazes me as to how racist a lot of these Jews are... when their very relatives were killed by the millions in Europe and then came to America where they were a very much hated minority themselves. And they are still hated today.
Now for Miss Jones. Negro, please. The only talent this chick has is running her mouth, and she does it well. She's trying to get paid. Her stupid book was a dud, and her singing career was a flop. Please don't get her fired, because she doesn't have any other outlets in the entertainment business besides working at a desk answering phones at Def Jam. In fact she's talked badly about so many people and has burned so many bridges that she might very well end up working at Walmart like Amil.
And on a side note, when someone from SOHH told me they got Nas saying he looks up to people like Hitler-- without properly following up his statement, of course-- I had to shake my head. When black American track runner Jesse Owens won one of his several 1936 Olympics races in Berlin and Hitler was supposed to congratulate him on his FOURTH gold medal, what did Hitler do? He became M.I.A. However, many have made a good job of dubbing this "myth"-- a lie at best.
Run that back: "Nas Looks up to Hitler?"
The Hitler comment was made as Nas described "Masterminds," a track from God's Son. "It's telling about people I look up to," Nas said. "[People like] Genghis Khan, Hitler, Nat Turner, J. Edgar Hoover, Huey Newton, all different types of motherf*ckers. Some demonic, some of them are children of God. You gotta be a mastermind to survive in this world."
SOHH.com contacted Nas' label, Sony, to get a comment or further elaboration from Nas on the controversial statement. At press time the Sony rep said he was "not clear at the direction" Nas was coming from.
The label then tried to cover up the ordeal, reposting (their account) of Nas' interview-- minus the praise Nas gave to Hitler for "masterminding" a massive genocide of five to six million Jews.
"Hitler." "N*gger." This is why Nas needs to work on his interview articulation skills. He is my favorite rapper of all time... but a lot of sh*t he says is f*cking ignorant and is almost never followed up with a sensible and educated reason. Had Hitler instead come to America to gas chamber all the black Americans, would Nas have said that?
But back to the issue: Miss Jones is ignorant, we know. But come on... what other tactic will be used to milk controversy after this is over?
Halocaust? What's that supposed to be? A mass murder caused by the Master Chief? Or do you mean HOlocaust?
There are idiots and racist a55holes from every creed, color or country. Only because you had some bad experiences with jews doesn't mean that the HOlocaust was less tragic or makes Miss Jones comments less offensive.

The rest of the world should listen to our verbal abuse and excuse it and sympathize with us (enter the good reverend again).
This is how I (the real person who posts under the name "React") looks at it in a nutshell:
1) It is UNDERSTANDABLE that Blacks would carry this animosity from years of prejudice and oppression...
2) However, it is NOT EXCUSABLE to engage in the same evil, especially unnecessarily and unprevoked (such as in the case above).
3) For all who despise religion, this is actually where faith comes in - a divine moral/value system, and universal symbols of goodness. We have to take the higher ground; we have to be more honorable than those who spew out evil; we have to forgive, bless our enemies, and look to God for His final act of retribution and justice.
This was so wrong on so many levels that it ain't funny. But I guess there's a reason to go in on this subject on a Hip Hop blog because Black racism/biggotry/ignorance is intertwined in the culture.

I already know that we don't have a lot of fans of the jews on here but what does that have to do with what Ms. Jones said? DOES THE DOUBLE-STANDARD REALLY APPLY???
Typically, when we get into this type of Black racism/biggotry, whatever you wanna call it, people (of all races) condone it because we say there's an unwritten double-standard that applies. But does it really? Some people will say, "Black people can't be racist." Really? I beg to differ.
I look at it like this:
a) BLACK PEOPLE CAN'T BE PREJUDICE because prejudism is a society-wide system of partiality based on race. The race in the position as the majority oppresses the minorities. This is bias is the root of segregation and every form of inequality one can imagine. Simply put, Blacks are not in the position of power or ownership to be able to keep people out of anything.
b) BLACK PEOPLE CAN DEFINITELY BE RACIST because biggotry is simply an inborn disdain and hatred of others solely based on their race or culture. Although people like to say it is the response of being ill-treated, I believe that it is most often fueled by competitiveness and jealousy.
If I an employer or law enforcement agent wants to ill-treat me because of my race, I go into litigation. But if I see a fool spewing out racist ignorane, I laugh at them because it shows how weak, insecure, and pathetic an individual they are. I pity them, actually and then forgive them (at least on a good and righteous day).

I'M AFRAID WE ARE RAISING A WHOLE GENERATION OF EVIL-MINDED YOUNGSTERS IN OUR COMMUNITY
I live and work right here in "Flatbush" Brooklyn and there's something interesting going on for the past 3 years. Due to the housing problem in Manhattan and the upgrading of the area, all of a sudden the streets are looking quite "multi-cultural." You're seeing Asians and Whites roming the streets, and late at night at that. Some of my peoples are complaining like, "What are these people doing here." Me? I LOVE IT!
Call me a "peace-pipe" smoker but I love humanity as a whole, in all it's variety (minus of course the evil). When I'm in a fruit market and I'm shopping next to an old White lady, my first thoughts at her aren't "Look at that cracka!" That's not my second, third, thirteenth, thirtieth thought! Unless she comes off with a "Step aside, Nigger," there's no unnecessary biggotry towards her.
But I'm afraid that the prevailing mentality in the streets is heavily promoting Black racism. Our young people are being taught that being Black entails having a hatred for non-Blacks. It is supposed to be our reflex. And that saddens me more than anything.
Someone may wanna hop on this blog and say "there he goes again bashing Black people." But you have it wrong once again. This is the standard that I expect from every race. I am most concerned with bettering my own race first. And I believe it is more noble for us to take the high road (that comes from my faith and value system, not some stupid street code).
I'm afraid the average Black youngster is inherently distrustful of White people without a cause. They are uncomfortable dealing in a friendly and civil manner with Jews. And even if there is no threat, they somehow feel shame for "conversing with the enemy."
So, how is this any less ignorant than the real racist hillbillies and skinheads that are out there?
But, yo, get at me, anybody! I wanna field any criticism to my views and points. If you don't agree with what I'm saying, no problem. But just tell me WHY and validate your position.

It is true that there are a segment of Whites who so personally take on the burden of the evils of their forefathers that they feel they need to be "extra nice" to Black people to show that they as individuals are good and righteous. The interesting thing about what E Frazier's "stan" posted is Bigup's reaction. At the slightest provocation he released pent up feelings about E Frazier's co-signing of posts in the PAST to what he considers TOMism on this blog. See, that's the real problem. This nitwit acts as if this blog is his personal fiefdom and if a position is not sanctioned by him it's somehow directed at him and therefore offensive. So PZ knowledge always has an owner and if the owner isn’t you then that knowledge simply represents information to you. I sit on many dissertation committees and I hear many people defend their dissertation as part of fulfilling their requirements to be issued an Ed.D. of a Ph.D. Now my expertises in research lies in research paradigms and designs and methodological research approaches. So when some one defends their research and they read their abstract and then give a quick review of chapter 2 which is the chapter for your review of the related literature and then quickly skip to chapter 5 which is the last chapter (this is where you give your summation of your research argument) I yell “wait a minute hold the F8ck up.â€
I want to know about the environment that you conducted your research in. Did you academically clean the environment so that all possible contaminants were eliminated and therefore assuring this committee that your research is reliable and valid and can be added in to the general body of knowledge and if you did, explain to me how you accomplished this task.
In addition, I want you to explain to me the genesis of your methodological approach and its evolution from chapter 1 to chapter 4 (Btw; for those of you about to defend your document take note of what I am saying because if I am sitting on your committee I will ask these questions and if you don’t know the answers to my questions I will recommend that you be denied a Ed.D or Ph.D.) ,so that we can again be assured that these results are reliable and valid.

Why didn’t you employ an ethnographic and grounded theory approach to your methodology so that you could unveil the normative behavior and culture of this group? In your ethnographic approach who were your scientific snitches (we call them informants in the academia) that facilitated the emergence of your grounded theory and how can you be sure that they were honest in their offerings and did not lead you to coming up with invalid and unreliable findings?
Now if a person can successful defend themselves against my questions then they have presented me with new a baby named knowledge and not information. So when you read these books and quote all this bullsh*t and I then say to you that this is not knowledge because it is borrowed therefore it really information; this is what I am talking about.
I mean this stuff that you are presenting did you study the author’s background. Did you study his methodological approach to writing the book to make sure it was contaminant free and therefore is valid and reliable literature. Did you do an exhaustive review of the relating literature to see who the writer of the book supporters and critics are and what were the supporting and opposing positions these academic allies and adversaries had of this author? Does the author demonstrate through the collective body of his work a longitudinal bias against a group; subject or topic and therefore can not be taken serious by mainstream academia because of is addiction to publishing contaminated research which is born from his longitudinal bias.
See for me as a scholar (whether I like the Nation or not) you can’t bring me Karl Evans’ work as true scholarship because he has demonstrated a longitudinal bias against the Nation of Islam. You also can’t bring me Askia Muhammad work which is overly supportive of the Nation of Islam because that is also longitudinally bias. Every one has a critic so to write something that overly critical and overly praiseworthy is a bias document and is not worth the dried up gum on a true scholar’s shoe.

When I have spoken so extensively about the oppression of Blacks throughout history on this blog, one dude was good enough to check me by saying that Blacks weren't the only ones oppressed. And I took that and checked myself.
On Jews and the Holocaust: Their plight was as real as that of Blacks, so we can't deny it. What I say is that Jewish oppression was shorter lived, but more pronounced and vicious at it's height. After the peak of Hitler's regime, the governments of the world sought to repair their situation and started taking them in as refugees. Today, you look and see how well Jewish cultures have thrived and it's easy to say that they didn' have it as bad.
In my opinion (and I admit I could be wrong) Black oppression has been longer lived and it's damage has been longlasting. I'm not going to compare what was worse, lynchings or concentration camps and human ovens. But it seems to me that the lengthy period of oppression led to a psychological altering of the people (Blacks) themselves and how others perceive Blacks.
It seems that the lengthy period of oppression had people convinced that the lies were really true: that Blacks were genetically inferior and it was proper enslave us. Compare how the world views Jews to how it views Blacks now and it will make sense.
If we tell the Jews, "Get over it," I guess the same advice applies to us Blacks. Right? Or if I'm wrong, please explain how.

I don't really care nor do I pay attention to the plight of the Jewish population. They're problems are their own and they seem to have come out of it okay. We are still in our situation.

I care little about a radio shock jock. I'm truly concerned about what I deem as an unhealthy mentality that the youngsters are being trained in from the earliest ages. You can pick any random kid from the streets and see that they are already biggots.
How is that young person going to be able to interact in society? Advance educationally and occupationally in a multi-cultural environment? It's a small world now, and I'm not only referring to the melting pot that is NYC.

First off, (laughing at myself) I feel like a clown for not recognizing the PZ stan. No diss to the real brother, I couldn't have equated those comments to you - what really happened is that I didn't read the whole post. After I finished typing my own, I saw the back and forth and thought it was "on." Usually, the stan does a good job of writing the first few lines in a believable tone, but then ends it in foolishness and caps it off with a "CHRIST BLESS." Maybe some, but not me. In fact when has anyone told you to "get over" slavery? My point is that no attrocity, big or small, including THE IRAQ WAR, should be excused. Every minority has been oppressed. The jews have been gettin shitted on for 4,000 years not 400. You know, I was going to mention segregation, but I thought it would muddy the point. Fact is, where are those Jews coing in? Ellis Island, and all the major segregation was in the South. It dosent excuse the atrocity of segregation at all, but to compare black society, from ALL ACROSS AMERICA, not just the South, to what the jews dealt with ALL ACROSS EUROPE at the same time is not a fair comparison.
The Jewish race was being WIPED OUT from europe. Their entire families split up and killed, all their possesions stolen from them, tortured, starved, gassed, burned.

I mean what was your psychological or monetary reward and trying such a futile exercise. What you wanted to look good in front of a bunch 21 year old. You were seeking praise from human beings half your age; was that your purpose? That is crazy. Also trying to divide me and E was very white of you. See you locate true moderate and conservative scholars and subsequently lift their text with some additional editorial comments of your own and presented as your work. Those younger bloggers who do adore you they just don’t understand that this is what you are doing so they come to you because they think they are witnessing true scholarship when truly what they are witnessing is plagiarism.
Anyway; back to E. I respect E because of his life experiences, judgment, maturity and wise counsel and comprehensive wisdom. You don’t present those qualities this is why I don’t see you as a role model for me. What you present is arrogance, negativity, immaturity, condescending rhetoric and the degradation of Black leadership and culture. Your spirit is destructive and your personal constitution is glued together by bitterness and the scapegoat-ing of Black people. So, I nor any other young Black man with any level of racial pride would look to you as a model of what they want to be.
On paper you and E have some similar demographical attributes but that is it. I won’t reveal those attributes because it is not place to do so and if E wants to reveal more of his background then he will. However E’s life experiences and his total current station in life is where I want to be and that has nothing to do with academia. One can be a scholar without having a high school diploma. Malcolm X did not have a high school diploma but he wiped the floor with the scholars fron Oxford, Yale, Brown and Harvard in which he debated. So paper doesn’t mean scholarship. Degrees don’t mean scholarship. Anyway that is a lecture for another day.
I have E-known E for several years now and we chop it up often. He knows my value system and what would violate my value system. What the stan did would have been such a violation of my value system that it would mean it was E’s way of discontinue a friendship. E also knows that I don’t hold my tongue for any one unless asked to by a person I respect. Therefore, E knows that at a drop of dime he could have had me take my foot out of your ass, by simply hitting me up oin a different forum and saying “Nas; just let the n*gg*s be†and out of my respect for him I would stopped immediately.
Now E is younger than you Nim so why can he get that kind of high respect from me and you can’t? Where is your failure? You are 9 years older than me so you should be able to enlighten me like E can. Where is the failure?

Alright. That's fair enough. It would be a good look if all this was buried and we moved on. I'm no blog police, so you hear me talking just as a real man. There's no need to point fingers at who threw the first stone.
I'm not saying that you have to agree with the other's views - not ever. But there's a way of maturely voicing out differences. Listen here jerky, I grew up in the same environment, different city, now as I said a few weeks ago, I wanted 2 join a gang @ one point in my life, until I realized that life was'nt what I wanted, & my relatives who were gang banging felt the same way, I'm a man B4 I'm anything, & I don't need 2 be a gang member 2 symbolize that, where I rest @ the OGs don't make the young cats join, most of them pretty much try 2 persuade them 2 NOT join, I can't believe U actually take pride in that fact, so I guess that means U're gonna make Ur kids join oone of the 6 Crip sets that U so called claim?
