There are plenty of rappers who are better and have surpassed him, an dhave more classic than he so-called did. No disrespect to his fans and supporters, i just spoke the truth. Moving on Sheek's album is actually god (again). I finally have something else to listen to, besides all the usual same click of rappers. It's always the same names being talked about. Don't even mention record sales. Because nobody is selling any records these days. Not even the big named rappers. So why not make the music you should be making, and do what's in your head/heat anyway.

Another day of has beens on SOHH. Why is it that Queens has the highest concentration of hip hop stars but the only time they're repped on this shithole blog is to get dissed?

There's not one part of NY to contribute more and for as long as the Q-Boro.

In the Bx you've got Furious 5, KRS and Pun. No one else even matters.

Manhattan you've got Dipset for this decade and. Mase for the 90's. That's about it. You'll be hard pressed to name anyone from the 80's or 5 rappers who had an impact. Big L gets honorary mention.

Staten Island - WuTang. End of story.

Westchester - Puffy, Brand Nubian, Lox, Heavy D. Pete Rock and CL Smooth.

Brooklyn - BIG, Jay and then the field gets weak with one hit wonders and underground backpack rappers like Black Moon.

Long Island - PE, De la, EPMD, Rakim (by way of Queens with Eric B)

QUEENS! -- Too many artists to list. Didn't create hip hop but presented it to the world. Commercially dominated rap 25yrs ago and even today. And in between provided some of the sickest lyricists to the game.

C'mon Reckless. You're letting that Bx bias against Queens get in the way of you doing your job. Sure the Bx created hip hop but Queens did it better than anyone. Get over it now and cover the ENTIRE NY scene. We don't wanna here about wack niggas like Tymes Skware who lives in your building.

When you really check it. With the exception of Big and Jay the bulk of chart topping, game changing talent doesn't come from the hardest hoods.

NY rap thrived and was at its best in the black middle class. The really poor hoods of the Bx, Harlem and BK had more to worry about than music I guess.

Places where people grew up in homes and had better schools like Queens, Staten Island, Long Island and Westchester provided the talent and ingenuity that made rap great.

As for the Sheek Louch album, isn't it funny that his biggest hit is a romantic song? This cat was getting on commercial rappers for that and he is. He's definitely the weakest out of all of d-block. I was very disappointed with his first album. Turned me off to buying any of his crap. P so far had a better career. If Sheek wants to point out when they "jumped the shark," it would have to be when they did the song with Lil' Jon. I actually liked the album with 50. The beats were on point and "Put em in their place" was a hit, played on the radio constantly. I think people just want G-unit to lose now when at least they have been consisent.

A cd with the artwork will cost over $1 to get made, consignment with the retailers through the distributor means they usually get your cd for around $10 or $8ish if you sell it for $10-11, the distributor/label will also take larger cuts if you use their studio and D-block doesn't have money for their own studio, so they still pay for studio time (at least sheek/styles does but Kiss is with the Roc now) so end of the day, you might luck out with $4-5 per cd MAYBE. This isn't counting the cost of your studio time, your beats, your advertising that YOU pay out of pocket. I'd say on a good day you get $3 per cd, but as a co-owner of D-block, sheek will get about 1/3rd of that money anyway. Oh, did I mention you only see this number once you've sold over about 50,000-75,000 cd's? Fuck it though, give Sheek 50,000 sold cd's at $3 a pop. 150k, ok ok, now that 48% tax thanks to the feds and NY state and local taxes. 75k? Not bad, but now you have to split it with the other shareholders. DAMN BALLIN.

Too many of us buy into the concept of America being a benevolent, generous beacon of hope. What America really is, is an EMPIRE in decline. There's no way we can possess all this weaponry and not use it to enhance our standard of living. Self preservation is the first law of nature and might makes right is the second.

Desperation will make whores, savages, criminals and worse out of us all. This country is very desperate right now. Our dollar is worthless and all the talk about HOPE will not change that.

In the 1970s and 1980s, while Dad and I crisscrossed America denouncing our nation's sins instead of getting in trouble we became darlings of the Republican Party. (This was while I was my father's sidekick before I dropped out of the evangelical movement altogether.) We were rewarded for our "stand" by people such as Congressman Jack Kemp, the Fords, Reagan and the Bush family. The top Republican leadership depended on preachers and agitators like us to energize their rank and file. No one called us un-American.

HOUSTON -- A 21-year-old Harris County woman filed a lawsuit against American Airlines Monday, alleging her trip to visit family and friends in Los Angeles last spring break turned X-rated.

The $200,000 suit claims a passenger (identified as GUNOT KILLA) masturbated in the seat next to Centava Dozier on a flight from DFW International Airport to Los Angeles during Dozier's spring break in 2007.
Dozier said she was sitting on an unoccupied row of the plane when it took off and fell asleep. When she woke up, she found a stuck substance in her hair and a man masturbating (identified as GUNOT KILLA) in the seat next to her.

In the lawsuit, Dozier said she asked airline workers for help and asked that the man (GUNOT KILLA), who was not sitting in his assigned seat, be removed, but did not receive any help from the staff aboard the plane.

Officials with American Airlines have maintained that their employees took appropriate action.

The man (GUNOT KILLA) was arrested when the plane landed.
