Termanology is from right outside of Boston (Lawrence), BUT! NYC has nothing but love for the kid who teamed up with Preemo to bring us "Watch How it Go Down" {watch vid here- and peep the Pun tribute}-- perhaps one of his most notable joints thus far. This track, called "It's the ST," features his crew ST. Da Squad, and is produced by Statik Selektah. "It's the ST" is from off the upcoming mixtape as displayed below, which should be hot in these streets some time this month.

Papoose seems to be stepping closer and closer back to his original style. It seems as if leaving JIVE has brought him back to square one; major labels these days do nothing but sabotage real MCs, so to be released from a potential "better built cell block" (in Mos Def's words) must be a relief, and a wake-up call. I bet Sai wishes he had that luck.
I don't really feel this joint as much as most of his old stuff, but this joint is definitely mixtape style... the mixtape style many of us used to love. Check out "Ambulance," something Uncle Murder should have on repeat in his iPod to remind him of the body he could have been that night.
If he can even afford an iPod, that is. SMH.
AZ first came hard with the Styles P-featured/ Large Pro-produced "The Hardest," and is now pushing his buzz even harder with this joint, "Fire," {listen} from off of his upcoming disc, Undeniable. This isn't as hot as "The Hardest," but the production is smooth, and the lyrics are on point. I can't help but to always hear that young-ass voice on Illmatic everytime I hear duke rap. LOL.

Pun was hot. Most new rappers with talent have hot 1st albums. They're new, sound different and are therefore refreshing. We'll never know what Pun could've done. I know his live performance was nowhere near his recorded material. On his albums he "punched" his vocals relentlessly. Live, he simply didn't have the breath control to come close to repeating flows like the Little Italy verse which was super hot by the way.
Also, I've seen the Terror Squad out back in those days. Those dudes always struck me as having a chip on their shoulders at best or racist at worst. Just check their man "Handgun" Pete aka the fake Pistol Pete. He's a racist Puerto Rican who bragged about stabbing everthing black in a prison racial war on his DVD. Just imaging if any black rapper had people in his crew bragging about knocking out Latin Kings in the penile and Reckless was PR. There's no way Big would get love but leave it to niggas to always yearn for acceptance from people who despise us.
Since Reckless is from the Bx I'm sure he's used to kissing Boricua ass but that shit don't go down nowhere else in the city.
As nice as Pun was I don't like the company he kept and what they stood for so I will never promote his music or him.
Truth be told Pun had one decent album and anything else is fantasy. The reason people go crazy over it is because no one expected a Rican to spit like that. He was the first.

What you said is definitely a part of the problem but it's a little more complicated than that. From a distance people emulate blacks all over the world BUT when they get to America and witness our true status the fixation dissipates. Once they realize the white man doesn't hold us in high regard they no longer hold us in high regard. Let's be honest, people come from countries where they don't even have paper to wipe their asses and look down on us. I believe the minute they realize we don't call shots they lose all fascination with us. As far as the thread is concerned, pick up the latest National Geographic. It discusses the Black Pharoah and their influence on Egyptian culture. It broke down due to a lot of in fighting, warlords taking over kind of like Rome. They also saved the Jews from being destroyed by the Assyrians. Shit's deep. America and the entire European world has worked to destroy our history. We should continue to read about it as much as possible.

its not even about blaming no one cause we have to take responsibility for our OWN actions, but when someone say black people need to stop falling for the white mans games then WE as a people feel like we're blaming some one.

its called identifying the problem. fact of the matter is the most gulliest of hoods that are historically blak like south side chicago, watts, harlem and im not a hunit percent sure but i'll bet money the west side of atlanta detriot hell even hati. the peole tha.........oh i cant forget oakland, now, the people that came from these areas had that black pride, that substace. hati and like alllllllll new yorks (and i was born in te flatbush area) dissed hatians, they nasty, they stink, they got aids, blah bvlah blah. but they fought the french and up rosed against slavery. and they dont even get the shit end of the stick, they get the shit after you get the shit end of the stick.

harlem everyione should kow there history, and these other black areas, but these areas ironically got hit the HARDEST with drugs.
these areas are the ones that got no funding from the government, other areas that blacks moved in what happen? white flight. now the next phase is genterificatin so they can buy these areas and take back the "inner cities" the places that where condemn by society.

I watch a lot of History Channel and National Geographic. I give props to whomever runs them for keeping it real with the world. They are quick to portray Europeans as the barbarians that they were before they stole African and Asian culture. Romans were nothing more than farmers when the Greeks gave them a sense of direction. Unfortunately, in history there is always some that admired that lighter skin tone and straight stringy hair so much that they began to hate themselves. You know the rest.

i mean there ave to be a motive for there hate. i told my cousin the othere day that white people is the only race that have to conquer you in order to thrive, no where in history have a white man went some where and just dealt fair with people. and they wonder why they called the devil. cause everywhere they go brings destruction, disease, war, famine.
