Jadakiss puts on his Kanye Swag... and Unleashes his "Strategy" to Staying Hot in These Streets

Kiss is feeling himself right now… you can tell by his newly rejuvenated arrogance. ‘Cause he was really sonning the interviewer.

But moving on, Kiss reiterated what I had said the other day in terms of working hard and not waiting for the label to do your work for you:

“I’ma do a couple strong featurings that’s gonna hold me till my sh*t drop, and that’s it. Warm up, get on fire, drop the album, and then work it. Gotta work your own sh*t nowadays you need your own staff, and you gotta be willing to work. N*ggas think they get one lil bullsh*t song… and then you good? You aint good off that. You gotta work your sh*t. You need a staff. Get off the block, get off your ass, get on the tour bus, get on a van, and go work your sh*t. Just ‘cause two or three DJs play your sh*t don’t mean… it’s a bigger world out there it’s more markets out there. It’s a business at the end of the day. So you can be mad at whoever but you gotta to be mad at yourself. Either the music wasn’t right, or you didn’t handle your business. It’s as simple as that.”

Where’s the strategy? It’s simple, really. Be proactive.

My favorite line: “Is this 'The Come Up’ or is this the f*ckin morning show over here?”

Hah.

"who really the best rapper since BIG aint here/ ya'll gon know the answer to that when KISS aint here"

Kiss is a good MC but that's just a small part of being a successful artist. As good as he is he hit his glass ceiling a long time ago. For some reason he never really blew up outside of the Tri-state. He'll need more than the tri-state to achieve a meaningful legacy in hip hop. Rap is filled with dudes who could spit but never blew for one reason or the other. Lets see if his next album can prevent that from being his fate.

WAT-IT-DO, YALL... THIS HERE'S MY "MORNING COFFEE" POST
-
Good quote from jada and very good logic. Even though he's trynna talk sideways about others rappers, he's actually talkin' about himself: that he hadn't worked hard enough to market himself, etc. So it's great to hear this guy sound as hungry as a new artist - yet wiser due to experience.
-
What's Reckless talkin about "Jada putting on Kanye swag"??? Whatchu seein is the old Jada. But during the time since then is when he made some soft moves - record with Mariah, a million appearances on R&B remixes, and (worst of all) him trynna go the Fat Joe route and gettin too cozy with the south.
-
So I truly hope this "change of pace" will bring about something good. He's always been a "just under the top-level" rapper. Now he need a rennaissance. Good interview.

REAL TALK IN THE MOTHERFUCKING HOOOOOOOOOOUSE NIGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER!!!

Man listen, Kiss is an above average lyricist. If he made 10 verses, 6 would be good enough to bump in the car. The problem is Pookie down the street can freestyle. You need to be able to write hooks, make a song, have swag, have a personality. He tries too hard to be gangsta now when EVERYBODY knows D-block is not gangsta. Styles is the only one that keeps it
real.
-
Kiss just doesn't have it. That star power, those songs you HAVE to listen to and when he does have a song like that, somebody else is the star of the track because they wrote the hook and are on the hook.
-
Moving on, I realized last night that Bougie black republican niggers and real hip hop back to africa niggers are EXACTLY the same. Both of them are ignorant as fuck and think they know what's right and best for the black race. Example: Reckless and her love for fake "real" mc's like nigger nas and I make $500 a week selling garbage ass weed Kiss.

JADA'S BEEF WITH CURTIS JACKSON BROUGHT SOME OF HIGHEST AND LOWEST MOMENTS
-
And Jada's the first to tell you that he benefited from the exposure. The highs had to include Jada's diss track when he spits - "Kiss come out the corner swingin... 50 come out singin..."
-
But the lows include him b*tchin and moanin' on Flex's show when Curtis threatened to buy out his publishing from Diddy, talkin bout "That nigga trynna keep us from eatin, man, that aint right!" HAHAHAHAHAAA...
-
But I'm anticipating great things from Kiss, much more than anyone else from over there - Beanie, Free, and even Nas. I aint sayin he gonna carry NY on his back - but that it would be a strong contribution to NY Hip Hop.

React and Nimrod...just come out and say it. You are big Soulja Boy fans!!!! its ok...come out of the closet

NIGGA WHAT!!?!! Can u read English? How da F#CK you get that from my posts!!! WOW... so there really are people who wake up automatically in b*tch-ass-nigga mode, huh?
-
Maybe your life lacks drama and u wanna create some (on an anonymous blog of all things). But why don't you respond to something I actually posted, or add to the convo? Or have a cup of coffee morning... hahaha... wow!
-
Back to Jada, I think one reason he was kept "just above average" was the fact that he was on Diddy's camp... faggoty-ass Diddy. He the one that made them soft moves - R&B collabos, hell, he even had all of D-Block in them shiny suits in Mariah's video - lookin like 3 astronauts!
-
Jada has a harder edge and stands the best chance of a "comeback" than most.

@Real Talk

You know you said some things I was gonna say but didn't because I didn't feel like having to deal with all the emotional crazies today. Just being able to spit hot verses alone doesn't guarantee much in the business. I believe I once read an interview with KRS where he claimed talent was only 5% of the equation. I'm not saying 5% is totally accurate but you get the gist.

Kiss did the group thing, solo, beef, commercial, mixtape, He did it all in his 15yrs in the game. I like some of his stuff. Couldn't listen to his albums straight through but there's not many albums I can listen to straight through. He's a solid MC but I can't see him doing something now he failed to do in the last 15yrs.

@React

Peace! Always good to see you. I've noticed when a decent # of articulate, informed posters show up the ingnorant run for cover. LOL!

@MoresicaMC

Funny you mentioned Soulja Boy. I read your post on the Jimmy Iovine video posted on this site and you practically had your Interscope knee pads on for the man who presented Soulja Boy to the world.

Everyday you come on here and shout my name. If you wanna pick my brain just ask. I may not be Jimmy Iovine but it's okay, you can suck up to me too.

Nimrod wrote: He's a solid MC but I can't see him doing something now he failed to do in the last 15yrs.

If there ever was a time for a comback (a smart, well-planned comeback), this is it. It's a time where everyone is complaining about the quality of the music - lyricism/production/personalities, etc.
-
Jada has a chance if he can learn from the mistakes of other "veterans", or at least find a nyche between them. Nas is on the verge of destroying himself - Jada should learn how to not bite off more than you can chew. Jay-Z may be a boss and still can sell, but he's definitely gotten quite "Hollywood." That leaves the door open for artists to still connect with the streets.

Others are running to do film and tv features. Plus 50, Dipset, Fat Joe, and a whole bunch of others and their crews have caught L's lately. I liked the way Kiss said you need a staff around you - not just ya niggaz who will say everything you're doin is hot and gas you up. It's time for rappers to hire publicists to help them make the right moves and keep things right media wise.

But whether or not Jada is marketable is a big obstacle. My advice: forget about the mainstream and go after the streets. Local appearances at small spots, etc.

One dude that can't seem to make a comeback is Busta Rhymes. That's who Jada better study.

AND THE LAST THING KISS NEED TO DO IS GET HIS "KANYE SWAG" ON...

Please! I know a lot of you fake backpackers view Kanye as the messiah of your little religion, and that the kid is getting plenty of shine these days.
-
But make no mistake about it: Kanye West is NOT the dude to follow. Some things are left to be done by individuals and not turned into a wide-ranging following. Yeezy and his glow-in-the-dark shades is for himself to do.
-
So, let him produce your beats, but keep a far distance from dude (aka the new Mike Jack)

@React

I feel you. It's gonna be rough even if he does everything right.

Busta's last album was actually pretty good and he's a helluva showman. The only conclusion I keep coming to when these dudes who don't sell is their age. I know I'm gonna catch a lot of heat on this but I can't see why else. Busta looks old as fuck as do MOP and a bunch of these other "hot" acts that can't seem to win. I believe and I may be wrong people give too much credit to talent and not enough to marketability when predicting album success. Of course there are always exceptions to the rules but for the most part 41yr old rappers like Jay-Z are an anomaly. It also helps he has the machine behind him which most artists don't.

And for all the people who are gonna say why can't old rappers keep making music all I'm saying is who's gonna buy it? That's the question the labels who they expect to fund their projects are gonna ask and rightfully so. There may be a base but not one big enough to be worth all the trouble. It is business.

Unless they plan on financing it out of pocket themselves the old school cats might just wanna do shows and stop worry about Soulja Boy. LOL!

I think the only thing that can hold jada back right now is jada.... he got the talent, it seems like everybody hungry for some newness, so like i said i think its really on jada right now.... i hope he blows off this album tho, i like jada and think he deserves it.......

(BEFORE I GO...)

Things have changed in the Hip Hop world for 2008...

- Complaining about the south is played...
- Complaining about ringtone sales or bootleggin/downloading is played...

The "smart" rapper is the entrepreneur - and I don't just mean having a sneaker line. At first I thought free mixtakes were just a way of hiding low sales. But online piracy aint goin nowhere, and "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" That's because artists should learn that the major part of their success (and money) shouldn't come from record sales. RATHER, it comes from TOURING. (That's why the has-beens can still pay their mortage doin shows overseas!). So use the record deal and mixtapes to build up your rep SO YOU CAN PACK OUT CONCERTS.
-
That's all I got for now; off to an appointment. Haters & Idiots: that's your cue to jump into the blog and commence your niggotry. Have fun. (They'll be plenty of you today cause school's out in NYC from the snow)

React and Nimrod both have valid points. But I feel Jada is missing solid production. Yeah he kills guest spots and mixtapes but when it comes to albums. He gives a lackluster performance.
With the right beats and a lil self promotion he could be on his way. He might get slept on b/c of the fast food mentality that the consumer has right now. But if he is true to the art form he can some notoriety among the fickle consumer. Good things come to those that hustle.

YEAH, BUSTA RHYMES SERVES AS A LESSON FOR EVERYONE.

REAL TALK IN THE MOTHERFUCKING HOOOOOOOOOOUSE!!!!!!!!

Like I said Jadakiss is barely an average rapper, that has no business sense. The only Jada has going for him is his boyish good looks. Man listen, I wouldn't mind Jada Ruff Riding my bitch ass. Don't get me started on his bald head, looking like a sexy ass mild dud. I would suck that nigger off so good . . .I can't even speak anymore because I'm creaming my pants

Hahaha, that's right ignorant ass nigger. Mock my name and make me a star. Mad that yo favorite rapper ain't shit.

@MoresicaMC

If you knew Jimmy Iovine's history of exploiting black artists and being the single biggest force in the promotion of negative stereotypes of the black make through pop culture you wouldn't be so quick to ride him. Then again that's what house niggers do.

I think cats look far too deep in to this rap shit. People act if they are rap consultants who sole mission is to critique and make recommendations to rapper for the purpose of enhancing their career or explaining the mediocrity or down fall of an artist. To me that is wack. I hate even being drawn into these conversations. For me it is as simple as a matter of access. I ask myself a couple of short questions when it comes to any artist; which is as follow:

1. Is the quality of the music at a level where it is worthy of me purchasing it.

2. Is the product available for me to access it?

I have come to accept the fact that the level of talent in the game is porous. However, I am also not ready to deem someone a musical genius because they know the conceptual framework of a construction of a song. To me that is fuckin ridiculous. I am also know that no-one on this site has evidence that Kiss and cats like him are fuckin clueless to this song construction and framework bullshit. To say so is fuckin baseless and ignorant.

The fact of that matter is those who are successful are successful for a large part because the record recording industry and corporate America says this will happens. So if I am a person who can get signed and then endorsed by the largest white rapper in the world and that white rapper can say to the white world “I have a super nigger who can rap. He is the real deal and a true Nigger. He has been shot 9 times (really 3 times). He is the true thug and we White America can look at him like a musical monkey at the circus or a caged monkey at the zoo and marvel at his strength and bestiality.” Then that rapper will be hugely successful.

These rappers know this and this is why they all try to live and portray a life that plays right into the ole playbook “of the 1970 Black exploitation films”. This coon like marketing approach is now being applied to the music industry. I actually am not mad at Curtis Jackson but I hate the rapper 50 cents. I hate 50 cents because he is the modern day version of the 1970’s Black exploitation characters of the 1970’s. He is not the only one. Many of these rappers aspire to be the white man’s super nigger on wax just in hopes of blowing up and becoming famous and wealthy. It is truly sad and pathetic. So for people to sit on their keyboard and act like these racist white corporate crackas do not select who will be successful (which for the most part is determined on the basis on who is willing to be a coon or not) or not to me is to be naïve. To relate this fuckin silly ass rudimentary argument that this shit is all about knowing how to construct a song to me speaks to someone who process information with a severe mental disability that either speaks to a very serious case of pervasive developmental disorder or some other neurological abnormality that is resulting a very serious cognitive deficiency.

White boys with racist corporate minds are the one’s who push these shameless niggas to foot shuffle and tap dance and scratch where they don’t itch; shuck and jive their way to economic success. This is why any rapper of consciousness can not get even within sniffing distance of receiving some really significant marketing dollars to push his project. As for Kanye; he is different. He is pushed because his music is truly organic (rather you like him or not) for hip hop. He takes bits and pieces of music from other genres of music and put it in a hip hop form and this appeal greatly to people across social –economic and racial lines. So because of his uniqueness of presentation in term of his music and persona he is pushed by these white boys. He outside of the norm of the super nigger marketing strategy that is used to market samboes like 50 cents and others.

So at the end of the day for me it boils down to the two questions I said above which are:

1. Is the quality of the music at a level where it is worthy of me purchasing it.

2. Is the product available for me to access it?

I am not a rap consultant. That is a waste a time. I understand systemic corporate and institutional racism, black exploitation marketing principles, buffoonery and white America’s willingness as a consumer to purchase products that reminds them of the lie of Black bestiality and inferiority. Therefore I don’t waste my time in futile dialogues. For me it is as simple as if I like the joint or not and fuck all that other bullshit! This shit is all about the WWE marketing of Samboe type Uncle Tom Niggas and not who is dope are not. 50 is not hugely successful because he is dope. 50 is hugely successful because he agreed to be marketed as a monkey (Gorilla Unit) and that idea delighted white racist corporate mothafuckas and white people so much so that cooning has almost made him a billionaire. It is all about the WWE and Black Exploitation Marketing Principles that blow most of these wack niggas up and very little else.

In order to qualify for a comeback doesn't that mean you were very relevant at some point? Now I'm not saying that Jada was never relevant but his success has always been at a few tiers below many other top-tier MCs in the game. He's gone the commercial, underground, mixtape, and independent routes and his level of success has pretty much remained the same.

@MoresicaMC

As far as KRS I didn't complain because I don't care. I simply voiced my opinion like everyone else. He's old and irrelevant so that's two strikes against him He's not irrelevant cause he's old cause he's been irrelevant since 1990. If he can get a check more power to him. Somebody said he sold 100k on his last release. I don't believe that I don't think he even went gold in his prime 20ys ago so selling 100k today isn't possible.

He's a delusional, big nose, Dr. Seuss, Jafakecan, MC who had a about 6 hot songs on as many albums. That's your hero though because you obviously identify with losers and let's not forget your love affair with your slave masters.

The Greatest Story Never Told

[Intro]
"In 1963, a young minister at Malcolm X's mosque in New York City
A man named Clarence X, broke with the Nation of Islam
He changed his name to Allah, and took his less austere vision
Of Islam, directly to young people in Harlem
He called his new movement: The Five Percent Nation"

[Lord Jamar]
Greatest story never told, Clarence Smith
Clarence 13X, to the Father Allah, let's go
Ayo, February 22nd, 1928
Danville, Virginia, it was still the winter
Clarence Smith, he was born a Friday
The fifth son, of Louis and Mary
After him, came Bernice and Harry
Now that's seven, six boys, one girl
Who ever thought he would change the world
His mother nicknamed him Put, and simply put
This was the time during Jim Crow
Where laws dictated where a nigga could go
But the fam didn't care, I don't wanna be with whitey
I don't wanna go where I know they don't like me
In '46, Allah came to Harlem
To join his mother, and his older brothers
Once in New York, Put became puddin’
Yeah, the God was smooth
He performed odd jobs, he was an honest dude
Amongst them, fruit stand that he ran
In a little hole in the wall, this was Harlem, ya'll
Developed a love for gambling
Played a lot of pool, took fools for they jewels
Then he met Willeen, wanted to marry, but she was only seventeen
Needed her mother's permission, they still had 2 sons, even though she was bitching
Allah said "I got something for you"
You don't have don't have the only daughter, then he married Dora
He had two seeds with her
Clarence and Christine, they were hers
And that's just the way it was, back in the day
When Allah came up, just the greatest story never told
Greatest story never told

[Lord Jamar]
In 1950, Clarence joined the army
And went to fight in the Korean war
Seeing war, it had to affect him
Supporting two families, you had to respect him
While he away, Dora became Muslim
N.O.I., Honorable Elijah Muhammad
When Clarence returned, he too accepted
By the teachings of Islam, he was truly effected
Temple Number 7, Mr. Malcolm X
This was the time that Allah met Justice
Clarence became Student Minister over time
He said some things that put him over the line
He said the Black Man's God, not just Fard
Please, let's go yell it in the yard
But the Nation said no, you gots to go
He took Justice, and some brothers and he left the temple
Back to the streets of Harlem
This time to teach black youth not reached by Muslims
Birth of a Nation, with far reaching implications
1963 is the shit to me, cuz that's the year that the God made history
Looked to self and said it ain't no mystery
This the greatest story never told

[Chorus 2X]

[Lord Jamar]
Allah made, Supreme Mathematics, Supreme Alphabets
A profound way to break it down
He took it to the poor and the hardcore
Young thugs and niggaz on drugs
First born student by the name of Kareem
Had the power to attract black knowledge seed
Kareem became Black Messiah
And then he run the first born by it
It was Kareem, Niheem, Uhuru, Kiheem
Al Jabar, or Prince Allah, Al Jamel, Bilal or Jihad, Akbar, and Al Salam
They called Allah the father, they were from broken home
And this man was the only father they had known
Allah's Nation of the Five Percenters
Will soon influence the epicenter
Allah got shot, and soon after arrested
Before the judge, Allah contested
You got it wrong, I'm Allah, I tell you
The judge said you crazy, and shipped him to Bellevue
This is the greatest story never told
The greatest story never told

[Chorus 2X]

[Lord Jamar]
Allah got, sent to Mattawan, first born carried on
We proliferated, and got situated
In '67, Allah came home, we had our first parliament and see how we had grown
They were thousands of Five Percenters, Allah had to bomb some muslims
They said "I surrender", 2122, Seventh Avenue
It was a gift from the mayor, and we still right there
Shamgaud designed the flag, we put it on the window of the street acad'
In '68, Dr. King was assassinated, many cities got decimated
That night in Harlem, the Gods were out
Helping to keep the peace, 85's wanna wild out
The same year, Allah prepared, his Five Percent for the day he wouldn't be here
If I die, I don't want you cry, if I could, I'll reach up and slap you in the eye
Besides, if you keep on teaching, I'll live forever
But physically, no man lives forever
June 12th, 1969, indelible in the God's minds
Allah Just took us through the science, of male and female
But we didn't notice the details
Cuz when he left, he got in the cab
But it wasn't in A-Allah's cab, didn't observe that
Shortly after, the word came back
That Allah got gunned down, Five Percenters rushed down
To MLK Towers, 112th street In the elevators where the God fell, G
Many Gods were crying, at least one remembered
What Allah said, didn't let a tear shed
We said farewell at unity chapel
As to who killed Allah to this day, we're baffled
These funeral processed the firm, clear for his cremation
This is the Nation of his creation
This is the greatest story never told
Greatest story never told

[sample]
"Allah was assassinated in 1969, that case was never solved
His movement survived him, today it's known as the Nation of Gods & Earths
Or the Five Percenters, tens of thousands of young black men & women
Follow his teachings, among them, several top performers
Including Busta Rhymes and members of Wu-Tang Clan"

What you said about 50 and the role of racism is so right on. When do you think that trend started? And who else played that game. Lets not single out 50 for a system that was in place long before him. We (the fans) encouraged this sort of behavior with our support of it. Wouldn't you agree?

Who's more to blame, the artists for conforming or us for accepting and embracing?

ya...KRS is so irrelevant thats why his new songs are on just about every hiphop site and he is getting hundreds of comments lol. I also take it you have had a more prosperous career than Jadakiss...lol. The probabilty that he's much wealthier than you is 1.

Anyway...im done with you and your alter ego...and have fun giving artists career advice. maybe theyll see your comment and give u a call...lol

@ Nimrod:

Yes, it has been in place a very long time. I always hit 50 up because he has celebrated his role in this racist practice and has actually targeted others as failures simply because they were not willing to engage in the kind of high level Black buffoonery marketing that has made 50 a multi-millionaire. Anyway, this practice goes back to the early infancy days of television and film which portrayed us as stupid, sexual deviances, animals, super niggers, Slaves, entertainers without substance, prostitutes, hoes, unprincipled, God-less, inferior and an immoral people.

And yes Brother, you are absolutely right we have contributed to it by purchasing these products. So until the overall level of consciousness is raised and sustained in our communities this will continue on. So you are right we share the blame in this shameful practice as well.

OH AND BY THE FUCKIN WAY, JUST BECAUSE ITS NIGGER (THANKS NAS) HISTORY MONTH DOSENT MEAN YOU NEED TO HAVE A FUCKING CHANNEL PLAYING A CONTINUOUS LOOP OF THE COLOR PURPLE 24 FUCKING 7, IM SO GODDAMNED SICK OF THAT SHIT I WANNA BEAT THE FUCK OUTTA OPRAH ACROSS THE FACE WITH MY COCK AND SKEET IN HER EYE, ENOUGH ALREADY COTDAMNIT!! SHOW ROOTS OR SOME SHIT SO WE CAN SEE HTOWN CLOWN GET HIS FOOT CHOPPED OFF WITH A BURRITO UP HIS ASS!!

Nigga your bitch ass been calling me out every day just cause you don't like what I say. You and anybody else who got a problem with MY perspective can go cut your wrist. This is a BLOG. People voice their opinion and share information. That's the purpose of this even though some of you think it's a fan forum for YOUR favorite rappers. If you don't agree with me ignore me it's really that simple. I don't holla at anyone other than to co-sign or say what's up. You should do the same punk.

I don't know about KRS but you can bet your beer money I'm in a better financial position than Jada since you brought it up. Probably KRS too but I won't go that far.

Instead of picking fights with strangers who aren't impressed with your favorite rappers you should try to learn as much as you can from the comments on all those sites you know about.

Like the familiar adage goes... If you think education is expensive just try ignorance.

@Bigup2bk

The issue you raised is one I've addressed in the past. Jimmy Iovine and Bryan Turner open the floodgates for rampant use of the N-word, gang culture and every negative stereotype of the young black male perpetuated by pop culture in the last 19yrs. There's a lot of sensitive people on this site and I attribute that to IMMATURITY so I won't name the artists but go back to artists Jimmy and Brian had in 89 and the picture becomes so clear.

50 is very vocal. He knows better but he's in too deep. "Someone" I personally know once sent 50 a subliminal message that the time to hunt squirrels and jack rabbits was done it was now time to hunt "Big Game" He responded, "there's no squirrels and jack rabbits in my trophy room. All I see is green."

Like so many before him money has become his god. Even the fans are caught up in the next man's money. I think he's a product of his environment which doesn't excuse him but we can't expect him to stop what he didn't start... Not when we encourage him so much.

@ O.G. HATER,

"U sho'll is ugly!!! LOL"

Beans freeway and them worked their
A S S off and Gay-Z didn't promote them. What makes jadakiss think Gay-Z gonna do the same for jadakiss. Damn joe jadakiss is just gonna get used by Gay-Z and profit off of him then he gonna F U C K him over. What's the point of going to a record label that got $ if the boss aint gonna let you outsell him in albums?

@ Brother Nimrod:

Well he can’t stop it because it is bigger than him and he also lacks power. By the way, I hate to say it but they will take every dollar away from that brother when it is all said and done. If 50 lives to be 60 or 65 years of age or longer (I hope he lives to 125 years of age) he will be broke. They will put a scandal on that brother before it is all said and done for the purpose of collecting the money back from him that he made for himself while he was acting like “fiddler” the slave for white folks.

Jimmie Iovine, Jerry Hellar and others are the Hip Hop forefather Black rap music buffoonery. Now while I think NWA made some significant social music commentary with many of their songs the fact that Niggas With an Attitude was pushed and marketed they it was says everything. They pushed four brothers that consisted of a college student (Ice Cube); a petty light weed seller (Easy E), a DJ and R and B Dancer (Dr Dre) and a regular around the way DJ (DJ Yella) as West Coast gangsta tells you that the marketing of these cats was conceived by a collection of racist minds. These cats were as much as gangster as these computer Gansters are on SOHH. This is why I ignore all these adjectives associated with these Rap cats because I no it is all bullshit and I know the essence and origin of the bullshit. I simply listen to the product and determine if I like it or not. However, I know these cats are slaves. This is why I laugh at these electronic cats defending these fools as if their life depends on it. They have bought into this “hokus-pokus” Black Buffoonery imagery that was created in the corporate boardrooms of racists and that is embarrassing. To be honest I hate to see us looking like fools but we are so blinded that unfortunately “we don’t know any better” (Shoulder hunched and look of a disappointment and helplessness concerning the lost among us, on my face)

I only care about the music and what his new album is going to sound like. Record sales don't mean anything, the charts don't mean anything. The business bullshit does not mean anything. It doesn't not last, it's only short term. It only means you were popular at one point. It doesn't make you relevant, because you blew up and sold some records. Anyway, I hear that a lot. Jada hasn't sold as many records as his peers, he never blew up, he doesn't have the star power. Not just Jada, but a lot of other rappers, who quote unquote didn't blow up or sell tons of records. Let me say this. Where are a lot of the rappers that blew up and sold records now? That's right, they came and went. Because it was all short term gratification. Jada has something a lot of these MCs don't (regardless of the records they sold), and that's longevity. A lot fo rappers came and went, and just passed on by. He's still here putting out albums. SO he didn't have to blow up or sell tons of records to be considered relevant. The fact that he's still here is testament enough. You can talk all day about what's wrong with his career, and what went on in it. The fact remains, that Jada gets his music out anyway. So all the he didn't blow up/record sales talk don't matter.

Sorry I forgot about MC Ren of NWA; who was also not a real gangster either......
