Big and Pac's death wasn't the result of a rap battle. That's what happens when entertainers take the act too far and get involved with TRUE and living G's who react differently to beef. 3) Part of the deal to go through with the project required that a number of SCHOOLS also be built in the area, not just hotels and retail stores. In all, it's going to be a renaissance of sorts for the area.

4) I've complained about the negatives on this blog before. Those include the traffic (Flatbush and Atlantic is bad enough). The small shop owners were complaining about the competition, but that's already the case. New apartments are needed so blacks have a place to go, since we're losing our brownstones.

As far as 50, yes a large part of his money comes outside of rap but I don't think you understand how the game works. Remember he made over 60 million his first year, before he had all this outside investments. He owns G-Unit records and sees 50% of all profits from that. So Buck, Yayo, Game, Banks, made him about 75 million before tax and expenses. He also sells out entire arenas of 20,000-30,000 people and at $50-500 a ticket, that adds up to a lot of money. Vitamin water just was the biggest lump sum, but most money still comes from the rapping.

Yesterday they posted a track supposedly off the "Nigger" album, and most of the bloggers missed the point. IT'S NOT ABOUT HOW GOOD OR BAD OR MEDIOCRE THE TRACK IS. No, no, no! This is a CONCEPT ALBUM that's tackling a huge subject and has stirred up mad loads of controversy and anticipation. I don't care if it turns out to be "Illmatic" calibre - WHAT DOES IT DO OR SAY ABOUT THE TOPIC!?! How is it working towards universally ridding the stigma of the word!?!

I hate to say this but you can't expect people who only talk about money and materialism to not bow down to the power of the dollar. It's like expecting a whore to be noble.
When any of these guys promote their wealth the intent is to tell those who don't have it and want it to bow down.
Beneath the tatoos, gang affiliation, tough talk and all that we're talking about people who put money before principle, honor, righteousness and even their own MASCULINITY in more cases than the average fan can stand to know.
Money is his god. Why wouldn't he submit?
