Pun was possibly the best rapper to come out of the Bx. It's really a toss up between him and Melle Mel. His style was more modern so I can see the new breed saying he was the best out of the Bx ever, When I think of Bx MC's only 3 standout. Melle Mel, KRS and Pun. Of the 3 KRS was the least lyrical in my opinion.
I see people on here high from nostalgia saying things like he was the best ever and that's cool. Just know that's not how the rest of the world sees it.

I think I will be the the first one to say Fuck Big Pun. He wasn't all that great. The only reason everyone is one his dick is because his fat ass is dead. If you think about it Pun wasn't innovative. When he first came out he followed Biggie's formula by tying to come off on some plus size "playa" shit. I do give this fat fuck credit for rhyming spanish words with english words, but that's about it. He did that well while jacking Kool G Rap for his flow. Basically I view Big Pun as a more lyrical version of Fat Joe.
My favorite Big Pun Verse was from the first Funk Master Flex 60 minutes of funk mixtape. That's also the first time I've ever heard him rap.

Yo i was at that Prodigy (of Mobb Deep) concert last night at B.B. Kings in NY, and Mazzarati Fox opened up for him. This shit was funny as hell... Listen to this. Niggas was tired of his lame ass show, so someone threw a plastic cup full of ice on stage with the most precise aim ever!!! The nigga was rapping and turned to his right and the cup hit that nigga square in the back of the neck!!! You heard the ice in the cup go CLINK!!! I feel that they both brought something unique 2 the rap game, they both had charisma, Big was a master @ storytelling, Pun's delivery was off the chain, but I think it was also his mastery of the vocabulary that made him stand out.
