TEN YEARS LATER: DMX Releasing Gospel Album -- & Peep Exclusive Tracklisting

In New York City, most of us have seen it all. But DMX has proven that we had yet to see everything under the sun, as he will be the first ever crack head to drop a gospel album-- which will be accompanying a gritty rap album in the same package. Yes. A double album, which will be entitled Walk With Me Now and You'll Fly With Me Later and slated for release this year. Exactly ten years after his very successful debut on the rap scene.
"I [was] the first n*gga to put out two albums in one year [It's Dark and Hell Is Hot and Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood in 1998], now I'm gonna hit 'em again â€" drop two albums on the same f*ckin' day, yo," DMX told MTV. "A double album will make muthaf*ckas mad. I'm talking about a hip-hop album and a gospel album."
The Walk With Me segment of the double disc will be his usual rapping, and You'll Fly With Me will be compiled of the spiritual, gospel-ish, non-cursing kind of thing. DMX says:
"without cursing â€" how 'bout that one? No songs about b*tches, no songs about robbing, just straight 'Give God the glory.'"
Oh boy.

Pretty soon, he'll be once again toying with the idea of becoming a preacher.
But dead ass. If X thinks he's going to be taken seriously, he's better off standing on the corner of his old Yonkers neighborhood slinging part of his personal supply to crack heads looking for a fix. If he drops a gospel album, not only will he lose half of the little bit of fan base he has left, but he will surely ether what little bit of a "career" he has to his name. And this gospel album will probably come out sounding a lot more ridiculous than it sounds. I'm having a feeling it's going to be a bunch of "Lord Give Me a Sign" type of stuff.
How do you go from a booming career by way of hits like "Ruffy Ryders Anthem," "How's It Going Down," and a bunch of others--- to THIS?

Another Gimick from another Gimick ass rapper. DMX career is over and has been for a while. He should just fall back and spend the rest of his days getting high or at least try to get more parts in movies. But as far as music it's a wrap.
And if a record company is stupid enough to release this bullshit ass gospel album then they should be looking forward for DMX to do WC and Too Short numbers on the charts
Kirk Franklin, Whitney Houston, R.Kelly, and Amy Winehouse...WHOA! That sounds like X is going all the way with this one. And let's not forget that X has always battled with himself on his calling to be a minister battling his inner demons so it's nothing new. All of his albums have had a gospel-esque type song where he is showing conflict of preaching and trying to stop his crazy ways so to speak. I'm actually looking forward to hearing what he's gonna spit on this one, just look at the song titles that sounds like it's gonna be some real talk right there.
Having said that, cats will come on here and hate on homeboy when he ain't no different than the next man his biz is just in front of eveyone to see.

Yeah the track listing is fake, it's called a joke....DMX is a hypocritical dude, how you going to release a gospel album and gangsta rap album on the same day? Is he bi-polar, probably. If he's going gospel, go gospel but don't come with gangsta rap CD on the same day because you lose creditbility. If really believed any of the things he said in his gospel CD then wouldn't put out a gangsta rap CD, so then it's about what lengths he's willing to go to sell records.
As for his music career, I was never really a fan, dude barked on the mic too much for me. Cuz is a wierdo, I can't relate. It's good to see him overcome crack addiction to become successful, I think his future is in acting more so than music. He's like the black Jack Nicholson, I can see DMX playing some crazy fucker on the big screen.

This just migh work for X!!! Finally there's a major figure in hiphop who's put the paper chase aside to address REAL world issues that we all deal with. I can't wait to hear this cd. Anyone with a set of working eyes can see that X has been through a lot mentally and emotionally with his constant spiritual strugle. This album is gonna be his testimony and probably will turn out to be one of the best ever contributions to hiphop. No matter what our indivual beliefs are I'm sure we all will find something benefitial from this man speaking from his heart and soul.

I think he might preceived as hypocrite by some...but I also think this brutally honest depiction of who DMX really is might change other peoples perception of spirituality and religion...because there are many people out here who can identify with the conflicts of traditional religous beliefs and the realities of their everyday lives. At the very least, this album should be able to spark some interesting debates and discussions.
