Busta Outed from Flipmode Squad, Latest on Ghostface, Irv says Ashanti was too Broke to Leave The Inc

Rampage told HHNLive that the Flipmode Squad is no longer named... Flipmode Squad, and that Busta Rhymes is no longer part of the crew.
"[It's just] Rah Digga, Baby Sham, Spliff Starr, and myself," Rampage told HHNL. "We just changed the name of the group and it's now called FMS. ...We just decided to do our own thing...It's not under Flipmode anymore. It's under FMS, just me, Sham, Digga, and Starr and FMS stands for Famous Millionaire Squad."
In reference to Busta's sticky situations, Rampage said:
"Well, if they say he did it, then he did it. I ain't with him all the time...I just don't got nothing to do with people being murdered at video shoots or none of that. I'm just trying to do music man."
Damn. If Spliff is no longer rolling with Busta, then something is definitely wrong. And note, too, that even with Busta, Flipmode wasn't doing much. So what are they going to do now?
Peep Ghostface talking about a bunch of nothing during the photoshoot for the cover of his album, which is slated to hit stores December 4th. Still.
Irv Gotti had a good interview with Complex Mag. Among a bunch of other things, he addressed his friendship with Ashanti, which has long since soured, and expressed his disappointment of never seeing DMX, Ja, and Hov pull together to make that monster album they should have made. He also suggested that Ashanti's pockets were too hurt to buy her way out of her contract, which is something she asked for around the time Irv was under fire with the feds over that money laundering situation.
Irv said:
...when I got in my trial and all of the negativity was coming, it takes strong-minded individuals to be able to stand it and stay through everything." ...But the evils of the business come in and the next thing you know, it's torn apart. You're trying to get off the label and you're saying things like 'I don't want to be a part of this.' All right, cool, but you're still under contract, so what can I do? There's nothing for me to do. I'm not just going to let you go. Give me some money and I'll let you go [laughs]. You don't have any money? What the fuck do you want me to do?Complex: How long is [Ashanti] under contract for?
Irv Gotti: Another few albums.
Complex: I asked Ja the same question, is it a let down that the Murder Inc. supergroup never came into fruition?
Irv Gotti: Aw man, that's one of my biggest letdowns. ... And [back then] my best friends just happened to be Jay-Z, DMX, and Ja Rule, before they had anything. I felt like when them three were doing their thing, I felt like the most unique individual in the world because I was like "Yo, I know all of these dudes, they're like my brothers." So I just wanted that project to happen, just to do something with my brothers. That would have been fucking incredible. That's one of my biggest disappointments, that that never happened. ...The main reason was egos, and I'm not going to tell you which egos. That one I'm going to have to keep with me and don't share with the public. But it was egos, and there were a few egos in there, but there was one ego that really prevented it... but I can't reveal whose ego it was. I tried. I tried twice. Hard. The first time I tried, Ja was only on his first album and he only did two million worldwide, which when you think of it now it's like, "Wow, that's a huge success." But he was the low man on the totem pole. In the beginning I thought maybe they don't want to do it because Ja isn't big enough to do that with them yet. But when Ja was moving six million worldwide, I revisited it [laughs], but it still didn't happen.

But I scratch my head and go "Hmmm. Since Ja was just getting his first taste of success and DMX was too much of a hard-core crackhead to care a less, it must've been who?"

Flipmode was wack anyway. Digga is nice, but too "butch" at times. As for the new name, neither of them are famous or millionaires so the name is an oxymoron. Truth be told, Ja Rule is on point with the hooks. He knows how to make good radio friendly records and he has a distinct voice however he has never spit 2 bars worth remembering since "Can I Get A."
He is not known for his cleverness and until he writes some clever lines, he will never reach today's audience. With the right ghostwriter/coach Ja Rule could be get a second wind and do the damn thing but chances are that will never happen.

About the "supergroup" idea again... (SMH)... I dunno, bruh. There are tons of ideas that look good on paper but don't live up to the hype. What Irv said about his first try not working (because Ja was still a rookie) makes perfect sense. But why did the heads shoot down the second attempt? Was it really "egos" or were people already seein that Ja was a flake?
And like somebody mentioned, 1 or 2 songs or remixes with 3 of them is aight. But a whole album??? There'd be no cohesion. What would they talk about for the length of the album? They've got 3 different angles. Nobody knows what coulda happened, but I think I woulda gotten sick of it midway through.
