Check out Cam'ron's new joint "Just Us," [listen] which is most likely off of his upcoming free mixtape Public Enemy #1, out November 7th.

No comment on the track.

Nas told Rollingstone that the resistance put up by New York assemblyman Hakeem Jefferies--a prime example of an "accomodationist" aka sellout, such as Clarence Thomas-- is too weak to stop the show. Boy do we have too many oreos with power.

"It's the new act of hate," said Nas, "and probably because of Barack Obama, people's ignorance and fear and jealousy is creating an outrage throughout the country, and people are reacting by putting nooses up. It's been a really serious year."

This is another joint from off of Jay-Z's Jigga's American Gangster, which features Nas, called "Success" [LISTEN]. So far, based tracks I've heard from off the album, Jay really meant it when he said this album was going to be all about the lyrics. Now maybe these other artists will follow suit...so as long as he doesn't pull another mediocre Kingdom Done. The question is, how is the younger crowd going to receive this "breath of fresh air"? Based on my observation, these younger folks are in love with the beats, not the lyrics. They like nursery rhyming, not the message or dexterity in articulation.

And this is definitely something most 90s-born kids aren't used to. Check it out. It's called "No Hook,' with a hot beat

MADAME TUSSAUDS NEW YORK UNVEILS WAX FIGURE OF
MUSIC ICON â€" THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G.

Biggie’s wax figure unveiled by the rapper’s mother, Ms. Voletta Wallace

October 25, 2007 [New York, NY] â€" In a moving tribute to her son, Ms. Voletta Wallace today unveiled a wax figure of legendary rapper Biggie Smalls (born: Christopher Wallace) at Madame Tussauds New York. Many of Biggie’s friends attended the figure unveiling, which also featured a performance by members of the Brooklyn High School of Arts’ choir, who sang “I’ll Be Missing You,” a tribute song composed shortly after Biggie’s death, and gospel classic, “I’ll Fly Away.”

Remember that video of Cam'ron driving off in a black car just last week? It turns out that the whole thing was a set up. In this video-- which is part of a promotional stunt for his upcoming mixtape-- you'll not only see that particular clip from last week, but you'll see the same "paparazzo" dude following Cam around. He's even driving alongside Cam on the freeway in one scene, and then captures Cam with some busted-up hoodrat chick with a nappy ponytail. After he squeezes her butt they dip off in a cabbie. Then there's the army fatigue scene. What a clown.

Where's Cam ? The Video

This is a snippet for 50's "I'll Still Kill" (edited would be "I Still Will'), featuring Akon. This song is off Curtis.

[The second phase of T.S]
terrorsquad_ptII.jpg

After the underground gem that was Terror Squad's 1999 debut album, and after the loss of Big Pun and the departure of Triple Seis, Cuban Link, and even recently Remy Ma, Terror Era will never be the same. Armageddon has recently said that he is "doing me right now." And even Tony Sunshine decided to pursue his own thing without the co-signing of Fat Joe. So even though there is basically no "squad" in Terror, Joe managed to get a two album deal with KOCH Records.

Aight, so I take that back. Joe says there are some new members to fill the shoes of the old Bronx squad:

This is part two to "Magic Stick," entitled "Wanna Lick," the first single off G-Unit's sophomore jinx album Shoot to Kill.

Sh*t's madd weak. But the sample they used is real kicked-back. I can get with that. But the hook is wack. The lyrics is wack. So when the beat can't save you in this day in age, then you've got to try harder.

As in "ER." Not "GA."

"I don't know where that [report] came from and neither does Def Jam," Nas said of the 'source close to LA Reid' that denied the album's existence to Foxnews. "None of us knows where that came from."

Anyone still looking for Cam? They were saying he drowned in that little pool he had "in the back." Not so. Peep how Cam tried to play dude with the camera (in the clip below) when he tried to get his attention, and then sped off in a vehicle:

Foxnews reported that the announcement Nas made during his performance at Sneaker Pimps last Friday was a fraud. Nasir told the audience that his new album would be called "N*gga." Not so, says a "source" that is supposedly "close" to IDJ's L.A Reid:

"There is no album release by Nas on the release schedule at this point. And they would be unlikely to release an album with that title. How would that look at Wal-Mart?"
Why didn't Reid himself or someone more credible-- with a name-- make this statement? Who is this person?

Ghostface had quite a load to release when speaking about both his new album and the Wu-Tang joint popping off on the same day, and the "powers that be," who are determined to sabotage his whole set-up... and to keep from paying him the money they owe:

"I had December 4 for the longest," Ghostface told MTV in regards to his solo album, The Big Dough Rehab. "But the Wu album [8 Diagrams], brothers was kinda late on doing whatever they were doing and pushed it back ... on my date. It's not based on the members, but the hierarchy at Wu-Tang Clan is on some bullsh*t. They trying to f*ck around and make me push my album back and doing all this. But n*ggas ain't f*cking around or give us money when we did them Wu-Tang tours. The first one, they paid us after a while, but this last one, n*ggas is holding onto a lot of money. And [they're] upset based on that. It's a battle right now."

Damn Mimi. You know son is hurt right now. When a legendary rapper comes through and smashes the best--and simultaneously the worst-- line you've ever spit, you know you're wack and that you should a) either go and hide under a rock, b) go back to the South or Long Island-- or wherever you're from-- and retire, or c) go sit on the third rail of a subway train track and finish yourself. If he can actually find his way around to a train station, that is.

"When a guy says 'I could make a million saying nothing on a track,' you know you've reached a bad place," Jay said to Rollingstone in regards to Mimi's 'This is Why I'm Hot.' "It's way past salvaging. I'm going the other way. That's why [my album] is the way it is."

Still not giving love to that Cristal. Still pushing that Ace of Spades... for free. It seems.

Jay-Z Jigga- "Blue Magic"

How many have forgotten about this?

So Joe Budden has served his four years in prison and is now a free man. This was sent to SOHH exclusively via email:

"I'm probably then only guy on earth happy 2 be unsigned......honestly
this move is 3 years late, I want 2 thank the fans 4 being so patient,
and def jam 4 not realizing what they had... 2day is a new day."-- Joe Budden

AtribeCalledQuest.jpg

Miss Info spoke with A Tribe Called Quest's Q-Tip regarding the "VH1 Hip-hop Honors"-- and the very arrogant walking-fiasco, Lupe, who excitedly cut loose like a chicken with no head on HHDX. Fiascogate told the website that Q-Tip made it his business to reach out to him to get him to perform Tribe's "Electric Relaxation," from their 1993 album Midnight Marauders, saying "he could have picked anybody but he picked me for whatever reason so I can come out and represent the young people."

SOHH stupid.

In response, Q-Tip dismissed the lil newbie, and collectively, Tip's statements--although unintentional-- painted Lupe as delusional and ... well, delusional. And all the while spared to express how Lupe slit the song by the throat (Q-tip was being nice):

So Cam'ron is dormant, huh.

Shout out to the kid Mikey Fresh for the vid --Mikeyfresh.blog

This dude says he's been doing this since 1998 and is just now releasing an album...

Ringtone rapper consumers and 50 Cent idolizers, this won't even absorb, so don't attempt. For those who appreciate lyrics, this is why The Bronx is where it started at. Peep my peoples from The Source days, Chris-Tougha aka Tegano from the Wrong Crowd, cough up that raw spittage alongside the kid Joell Ortiz and former Terror Squadian Tony Sunshine. And btw, shout out to D.E.F.A.M.E and Mikey Fresh.

Peace to Stack Bundles. May he rest in paradise.

Stack_Bundles45677.jpg

Lyrics are on-point. However, I hate the beat. It sounds like some b.s dirty South sh*t-- a definite misrepresentation of what Stack Bundles was all about. But never mind me. Be the judge for yourself: Hear Stack Bundles-"Fat Stacks" off of his upcoming album, which is entitled Rockstar.

A lot of people have been talking about Jay-Z dropping his American Gangster the same day as Nas drops his joint. But November 6th will not be another "Clash of the Titans." Why? Because Nas' album is just a greatest hits disc. The one that I mentioned back in August, and completely forgot about. I guess Nas is putting in his farewell to Columbia forever with this slopped-together effort. I can take from off my PC all the songs they're putting on this disc and make my own Nas greatest hits jumpoff. But then again, anyone can do that with any artist. Which just proves my point: greatest hits albums are pointless in this day in age.

And by the way, the kid Saigon is getting a December 4th release date for The Greatest Story Never Told. Why he even put up an argument about David Banner's album being called The Greatest Story Ever Told --or whatever it was-- I will never understand. We all know Banner isn't going to sell more than 12 copies. And as I've said before, things have been looking up for Saigitty since he linked with Violator. An album title won't do any damage.

In part I, it was all about discovering industry politricks, blackballing, spiraling into the pits of helplessness, and the early stages of losing the rest of their group. Now it's official: Brooklyn's own Pitch Black have faded into the turmoil of the industry war zone, now only two out of the five remain. Even with a brotherly bond that lasted for over a decade, Zakee and Devious say the other three members Fast, D.G, and G.O.D never really told them it was over; they just didn't have the heart to let down their boys face to face.

In part II of II, Zakee and Devious continue the discussion of shady industry politricks, how they really feel about losing Fast, D.G, and G.O.D, how they found out their album was in stores, unsuccessfully condemning industry robberies, and how loyalty to their crew ultimately led to their blackout.

They'd been in unity as a rap group since 1994. Originally consisting of five members-- Zakee, Devious, D.G, Fast, and G.O.D-- the group known to many as Brooklyn's own Pitch Black emerged from out of unknown status and took the streets-- and mainstream-- by storm... without the help of their very own record label. As a group, they'd seen it all--from the successful 2003 Billboard-charting single "It's All Real," produced by the infamous DJ Premier, rocking shows with Jay-Z, and slaying the mixtape scene with DJ Kay Slay, releasing their first-ever LP-- and then helplessly watched it all crumble down.

From the ills of label politricks to industry blackballing, to losing the late Stack Bundles to witnessing the three other beloved members disappear in utter discouragement, Zakee and Devious sat down with SOHH to explain it all, from beginning to present.
