Stories recently began to circulate about the August 19th incident at The Bronx's strip joint The Player's Club, where Remy allegedly watched as her crew roughed up a boyfriend of a potential witness, who was possibly going to cooperate to help bring justice to victim Makeda Barnes-Joseph-- the woman who was shot in the torso after a dispute with The Bronx rapper back in July.
According to the NY Daily News, Assistant District Attorney Michael McIntosh's request to keep Remy imprisoned without bail for tampering and gang-assault charges was denied by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Rena Uviller.
The charges of attempted murder have since been dropped, but now Rem faces gang assault, tampering with a witness, and intimidating a victim along with third-degree assault as a result of the nightclub incident. No further action will be taken until September 20th.
In response to the release of Remy's newest charge, Remy's publicist, Duran Brown, sent a statement to TMZ, which read:
I would like to first point out that Remy Ma's charges have dropped from attempted murder to assault. In light of the most recent allegations, the court has asked for further time to review the new gang assault and tampered witness charges until next Thursday September 20th, 2007. To clarify, the assaulted male is not a witness in this case. To sway public opinion the most recent indictment or "accusation" has been released to the public in faith that it causes doubt of Remy Ma's innocence, rather then highlighting the fact that this case has now turned into an assault plea. Remy Ma maintains her innocence of all charges and will continue to do her best as an entertainer, mother, friend, and entrepreneur for the betterment of her continually successful career."

i think if 50 wasnt so much of an ass jay woulda took him under his wings....i actually think a lotta people would take him under there wings or in there companies and shit but on one hand 50 on your team is a VERY good look but the BS he brings with him isnt worth the risk sometimes.

That kid is 16 and wrote and produced that entire track himself. Every dime he makes is profit. At 16 and you produce a hit that big, you have a future in the industry be it an artist or not. Trust me, that kid has talent and he'll be around for a while, if not in front of the camera, behind the boards.

i like the whole album but that drunking white girls sound like a eminem song to me. when i 1st heard it i cant front i was like....eh, damn ye but as i got some "medicine" in me i was able to fully grasp the album and i like it. and i like all his singles.
and that barry bonds wayne verse was ass i must agree cause Ye 2nd verse i believe is my favorite.

Sydney Holmes, a Bronx man who says he was assaulted by Remy Ma's entourage because of his connection to a witness in Remy's shooting case, recently revealed details about the incident.
As SOHH previously reported, Remy (born Remy Smith ) was charged on Wednesday (September 12) with witness-tampering and gang-assault charges after prosecutors claimed she ordered an assault on Holmes and a witness' boyfriend at a Bronx nightclub. Prosecutors believe Remy wanted to intimidate the witness who allegedly saw her shoot Makeda Barnes-Joseph in July.
Holmes recounted the incident to New York's Daily News saying that he and his unidentified friend were minding their own businesses at the club when Remy's boyfriend and his crew stared them down before attacking them.
"I was fighting seven dudes by myself," Holmes explained. "I was just defending myself. Now my jaw is broken in two places and I have a plate in my chin for the rest of my life."
While Holmes endured a broken jaw, the witness' boyfriend suffered a black eye and a fractured bone in his face.
Holmes, who revealed that he is a longtime friend of Barnes-Joseph, said he doesn't know whether Remy ordered the assault but wants the rapper brought to justice.
"I have nothing against Remy but I just want justice to be done," he emphasized. "How can they break my jaw and still be walking the streets? It's crazy right now with my sister being shot. I told Makeda, we're going to go through this together."
Prosecutors had originally charged Remy with attempted murder for Barnes-Joseph's shooting but recently dropped it to assault after evidence revealed that the gun may have gone off accidentally.
In a statement sent to TMZ, Remy's publicist, Duran Brown, offered another side of the story.
"To clarify, the assaulted male is not a witness in this case," she said. "To sway public opinion the most recent indictment or 'accusation' has been released to the public in faith that it causes doubt of Remy Ma's innocence, rather then highlighting the fact that this case has now turned into an assault plea. Remy Ma maintains her innocence of all charges and will continue to do her best as an entertainer, mother, friend, and entrepreneur for the betterment of her continually successful career."
Remy, who has plead not guilty to all the charges, is due back in court on September 20.

Hot Rod isnt really signed to G-Unit, he's being developed, kinda like Spider, but i think after people hear the pre-qual and how his flow has progressed he might actually drop an album.

Yeah him and Juve are tight. Juve is the one who told him not to sign with Cash Money. He rolled wit UTP but was doin his own thing with TIP (Total Independant Productions) the CD/Mixtapes he put out with D-Tay, Hi-C, & Lil Murda. 50 picked him up when he met Buck on tour with UTP. Buck is one of the realest "celebrities" Ive ever met, him & Juve both are mad cool in person.
