It seems as if ever since Busta Rhyme's bodyguard, Israel Ramirez, was shot dead on the set of his "Touch It (Remix)" video shoot back in February of '06, Busta's life has been spiraling further and further out of control. Countless traffic violations, court dates, accusations, and the endless criticism from the media-- particularly the declaration that Busta's career is over for good--has been the story of his life for the past year and a half.
Some say karma is a b*tch-- and when I say that I mean paybacks for Busta not helping to find the killer of his friend; with me it's neither here nor there--and others say he's just depressed and is voluntarily throwing himself under the bus... again and again.
But the point of this blog is to air out the con artist Roberto Lebron, who is currently suing Busta for being beaten to a pulp after he "accidentally" spit on Busta's car. Unless Lebron has tourettes, or the wind took the spit, "accidental" is hardly realistic. There is no way around the fact that Busta beat homie down, so it's fair that he was sued...until one sees that the suit is blaming and seeking damages not only from Busta, but also Universal Music Group, Aftermath, Interscope/Geffen/A&M, and all nine of Busta's bodyguards. According to MTV, the attorney behind all this, Mark Kressner, says that Busta's "persona" was "designed for publicity, marketing and profit purposes to be rogue, rude, aggressive, misbehaving, challenging, confrontational, disrespectful and, at times, criminal." In addition to that, Kressner says the record labels "utilized the unlawful and illegal behavior and promoted the image created as part of its marketing campaign."
Iovine slipped Busta a mickey, sent him to the laboratory and altered the neurons in his frontal lobe. Get the f*ck outta here. If Kressner isn't one of the most brilliant professional liars with the most luminous "publicity, marketing, and profit" plot in selling Lebron's case, then I don't know who is. These charges scream a blood-shot eyed "the more my client gets, the more I get!!!!!!!!!!!!" If the judge rules in Lebron's favor, then they're probably just someone who can't stand Busta and his notoriety with the cops.
Busta I heard is a real arrogant a*shole, so I have no sympathy. But Kressner is going too far. And being too obvious.

First as usual. King of the world! KING OF THE WORLD!!! Anyway, Busta should ask for a trial by judge and not jury. If he gets a white jury, he will lose for being a hip hop artist. The judge however knows that spitting is considered assault under the law and therefore the dude started the fight. He might get punished for excessiveness though and the bodyguards will get in trouble since only the person attacked can react. If you aren't the one in danger or you aren't trying to save someones life, they don't let you jump in.
Oh and no money form the labels. Your employer isn't responsible for what you do off the clock. Most likely one of Bustas bodyguards will plead guilty and Busta will write him a check for 500g'z.
