Just like I had guessed a couple of weeks back, Foxy Brown will be signing on with KOCH Records.
According to a press release, Foxy inked a multi-million dollar deal with KOCH August 8th, becoming the first "star" female to be signed as a solo act to the indie label. In addition to that, she will be the first artist to be released under her recently established Black Rose Entertainment, and hopes that some talent with heavy caribbean influence will follow close behind.
Her street album, entitled Brooklyn's Don Diva, is slated for release sometime in December, as the lead single for the album is set for radio airplay within the next few weeks. The Flatbush rapper says she already has two albums worth of material recorded.
Foxy also said via statement:
"I have always been a symbol of independence as a female in music. A Texas pastor is facing felony aggravated assault charges after a participant in his Christian boot camp claimed she was dragged behind a van for failing to complete a run.
In an affidavit, a 15-year-old girl from San Antonio, Texas claims Charles Flowers the director of Faith Outreach Center and one of his drill instructors tied a rope around her and dragged her behind a van when she could not finish a run.
Pictures show injuries the teenager says she got as a result of the incident. "It is not as it appears. I'm not going to comment to that issue," says Flowers.
Flowers said he can't talk about the incident because he and the instructor are now facing felony aggravated assault charges. He would only say that straightening out troubled teens is hard. "I think if you ask them that, they will tell you in the end, no. If you ask them the first day they will say yes," said Flowers.
His wife, who helps run the ministry, says what happened at the boot camp is not as it appears. "My husband is not a cruel person. He loves young people. We do what we do because we love young people. We're not looking forward to this happening, but, of course, when you deal with young people, you're going to have allegations," said Janice Flowers.

Foxy Brown turned herself into Brooklyn authorities yesterday (August 14) and was charged with felony assault for allegedly smacking her neighbor with her Blackberry cell phone.
According to New York's WABC, the incident occurred last month during a heated argument between Brown and the unidentified woman at the corner of Carlton Avenue and Prospect Place on July 30.
The 25-year-old woman was then rushed to BrooklynHospital for loosening of the teeth and swelling of the lip and right eye. She filed a complaint with police, and after an investigation, Foxy (born Inga Marchand) agreed to turn herself in.
Brown was charged with felony assault, menacing, harassment and criminal possession of a weapon. She was arraigned last night and released on $5,000 bail. Her next court date is September 26.
