Tru dat!! thanx for the wonderful blog.
Dead Prez never died, they cookin' some political fire in the Lab.I'm a Prez fan I wish they would drop soon,People all over the world will talk about MC's half of radio listeners never heard and because of the dedication the concious MC's have the get love outside the U.S....outside nobody really pay attention to songs like "Snap yo fingers" no diss it's nice song, but I'm just saying people outside would mostly rather listen to songs like "Dance with the Devil" by Immortal Technique and MC's like Doom and EMC, The Roots Crew, I know this because where I'm from real hip hop music is what I mentioned above cause that's what brought us to Hip Hop.So it's bigger than "Tims and Rims" it's bigger than Hip Hop....Thanx!!
DEAD PREZ NEED TO DROP SOON !!!!! ONE OF THE BEST GROUPS EVER !!!!
"Niggas is trying to be in gangs calling themselves Bloods now, and Crips and all that. We don't rock like that man, this is New York City. We aint never gang banged in our life. Niggas in L.A, their grandmothers is Crips, their grandfathers is Bloods... that's the way of life out there...that ain't our way of life, so I can't respect that shit over here. A nigga telling me like...[I said to him] you 28, 29 years old and you calling yourself a Blood? You aint grow up like that!"
The multiplicity of gangs in New York City have been on the rise in the past few years, partially crafted by the popularity of both The Game and Snoop, who sashay patriotically in their gang-banging swagger -- swagger that has these cornball gang imitators running recklessly through the streets of New York.
Some advice to these New York rappers and street thugs guilty of this asinine crime: a lot of these rappers get rich and die tryin' to live up to their fabricated war stories, and "Boyz N the Hood" and "Menace II Society" are only movies. Realistically, that ish doesn't rock here in NYC.
well even though UBN in NY is my fam i jus dont like they way of life everything is determined by a ckode.now he is right that over in ckali you got generations of your family that was bloods an ckrabz-an tha bloods in new york now actually ckame from ckompton in 1995 so i mean people who in new york an got they set an parents an grandparents from tha west ckoast they forreal but i dont know i think any dude thats from NY an they family form NY an cklaim blood or ckrab they aint authentic.now down south is a different story all together.you got madd niggaz in ATL that origonally form ckompton an moved they sets out here an then they moved from atlanta to other parts of tha south.i know my grandpa was a brim in L.A. when they first started he was one of tha first hispanic members an when my dad was ol enough he started bangin but they moved to anotha part of Ckompton an my dad was a bounty hunter from watts an he moved to atlanta with my grandma an a few of my ckousins in '86 after my grandpa was killed an then in '89 when my pops was like 20 he and my ckousins moved to eastside greenville an they already had a small set(although unorganized) an i was born in 1990 in eastside greenville then we moved to southside greenville which was also blood hood an my ckousins was like 17 an they was jumped in to tha set im rollin with now they was some of tha origonal members an i grew up round them so thats all i knew ya kno growin up watchin my ckousins fight ckrabz on tha front lawn of tha apartment ckmomplex so when i got right of age i got jumped in so......lol hate to give yall a lil life story or whatnot but jus tellin ya theres alot of origonal niggaz around here

He didn't really do more than the whole of Dip Set combined, I was more referencing the fact that nobody outside of Cam's ever sold units. When you look at the fact that on average Bleek and Cam's sales are almost identical, and look at the fact that the only thing keeping Cam's numbers even close was that Rocafella album it doesn't make for good reading.
I won't publish the rest of Dip Set's numbers...
Dip Set aint getting paid by Koch. Cam'ron's been telling people. What part of that don't you understand?
Dip Set mixtapes will by law sell less than their albums. J.R Writer's album sales will give you a good indication as to how many mixtapes they actually "Sell". Not to mention the fact that the short buck in a mixtape doesn't compare to the long money that comes with RIAA certification.
Dip Set are trash. Juelz I fuck with, I'd say 'From Me To U' is the best Dip Set album by far. Cam I still have faith in, I was excited by his last 2 albums and they turned out shit...
The rest of them are bums and nothing more. Hell Rell sounds like a muppet and J.R Writer sounds like a castrated muppet. Tru Life has dropped 2 hot mixtapes, I'm not gonna compare him to Cam or Juelz because he doesn't have an album out, but if you're asking me would I rather hear Tru Life or one of Dip Set's B-Team bums (Jim Jones included) I would without question say yes... so would most music buying people. Which is why he will sell more albums than all of them
Dip Set are bums! I just want to put into perspective the shit you talk, the shit they've got you believing "they gotta climb out the grave first" what was that a reference to if not sales? Come on man. $8 a pop? $8 a pop? It's almost like there were some clever people on this site who said the day that was first used as a boast that those figures are impossible. Now Cam's suing Koch? Come on people. Dip Set "All Day" What does that even mean?
You guys are fighting the losing fight. You can fuck with losers! Or run with winners and win.
this is What happens when you take rap music too seriously is you fight for Dip Set. "ended Tru Life's career" what happens when you take the internet too seriously? "LMAO" on yeah man. Dip Set all day! You do realise that outside the internet fanboys and a very short square milage of Harlem nobody gives a fuck about Dip Set right? They're for the kids, the 15 year olds who want to express their feminine sides by wearing pink T's and tight jeans.
You're taking this shit too personal. What are Dip Set gonna do? Shoot Tru Life? Like they say they're going to do on every track? Nawww. They're not gangsters. They're rappers. Why are they rapping if not to sell? Why make 'Whistle Song' if not to sell? Come on help me out. The fact that they're not is because they're bums. They're bums who spend the little money they do make on jewells that inevitably get robbed. Why? Because they're rappers. Not gangsters.
The reason yall hate on Tru Life is cuz 90% of yall people never heard his ''New New York'' mixtape.. people hate to see new rappers come up= why hiphop is dead..
Tru Life>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>J.R
Where is dead prez?
So X-Clan dropped their album, Return from Mecca, today. And in the wake of conscious lyricism, I have to scratch my head and ask where the remainder of the entourage dwells. Where is Saigon's album? Whatever happened to that Immortal Technique and Green Lantern mixtape collaboration? Where is dead prez?
Last time I checked, Brooklyn's M-1 was exploring the solo side of things via his single, "Til We Get There," which was the backbone of his LP, Confidential. This album dropped last March, around the time "Impeach the President" rocked 'hoods everywhere.
Many of the die hard dead prez fans were taken aback by the R&B mood of "Til We Get There"; not only because of Stic.Man's "I'm sick of that fake thug, R&B-rap scenario, all day on the radio" attitude, but mainly, I would assert, because the gritty, underground sound is something they embraced, something they used as an identity. But when asked about this, M-1 basically said that the sound complimenting "Til We Get There" was more universal, that he wanted to do something that would pull in more listeners because he wanted to "speak to the people," and spitting knowledge over an R&B rhythm and a breathy hook is "what 2 Pac would do." But the supporters remained confused. And those who had never paid dead prez any mind never caught onto it.
"Much success to you comrade
To who I've wronged, if it's never been said before, my bad
And took a page from the book of Martin Luther
And decided that it's better to hug you than to shoot you
That's what's called solidarity
When we struggle its therapy
After chaos we got clarity
My enemy's enemy is my man, remember
I ain't trying to be end up in this man's dilemma
We only here for a minute
It's what you make it, so live it
See I'm a rider and I'm gonna be remembered
For those of you not born to those of you not here
I wish you the best and that's real" -- M-1 "Til We Get There"
I haven't heard a peep from neither Stic or M-1 since. I don't know if they're in the lab, I don't know if they're busy rocking shows around the world, for the people who appreciate them. And on a sidenote, it's funny how people outside of the U.S appreciate rap in its purest form but we can't... and we created it.

That's what everybody tells me when this discussion comes up, so I went back and listened.... 'New New York' wasn't even that good... period.... and this Tru York shit is a just a gimmick, it's def. not any good.
J.R.'s 1 diss was better than everything Tru had on that mixtape.
'The Dips Is Over'... smh.... You know that bitchmade dude don't even believe that himself. Only thing over after this 'beef' dies down is his so-called career.
Dip Set fans are comedy. Everybody knows that Bub didn't lift Tru's chain. Everybody knows that Jimmy had to hire Tru as a bodyguard because his chain kept getting lifted. Whatever though, Dip Set are basketball players, they're not gangsters.
. Loon been exposed Dip Set, NOBODY can question Loon's gangster.
J.R Writer is a different level of garbage. If you were bringing Juelz or Cam I'd honestly just say nothing. But J.R Writer is a typical New York street corner rapper. "The Hungry Ethiopian"? Come on man!
What happened PR day? Why did Dip Set exit venue left? What was that? I don't know. I find it hard to believe rappers who aint about shit. What have Dip Set ever done? They got shot... twice! They played basketball with Mase when they were supposed to have beef... they got robbed a few times... one of them got caught mid-robbery despite Dip Set getting $8 a pop. Come on man... be realistic.
50 Cent > Everybody in Dip Set
Young Buck > Everybody in Dip Set
people just say ''fuck Tru Life'' and they dont know who the dude is, but that's aiight if you dosent like his 'New New York' mixtape but to me that's one of my fav. mixtape's.
His 'Tru York' was very dissapointed to me, but it seem's like he tried to diss Dipset to much on his new mixtape, insted of tryin to make quality music like he did on 'New New York'.
lol @ you calling Tru Life ''bitchmade''. The only person in dipset that seem's 'real' is Hell Rell and he can't make music

"I need people to pay attention to what I have to say, instead of just staring at my mouth. I speak with a purpose and definitely want people to know that I’m not just some rapper with diamonds in his mouth. As soon as they get past the materialistic stuff and listen to the message on my album then I will feel like I have won."
