How many labels? I've lost count. Still no growth.
First and foremost-- and I'm not saying this because I can't stand 50--Mobb Deep are prime examples: Never put money before the love of hip-hop (or for the love of God for that matter). I remember when Mr. Irreverent posted a quote taken from a Prodigy freestyle:
"...50 Cent saved me, not Jesus Christ..."
One can only hope that those words were from the top, 'cause only a fool would sit down and ink such blasphemy.
M.O.P hasn't made any noise. I've heard a few mixtape songs here and there, but their buzz is nonexistent; such a bland route taken coming from the duo behind the smash "Ante Up."
What happened?
I’m pretty sure they’re still signed to G-Unit, but by the way they’ve been M.I.A, you wouldn’t even think that the duo even existed anymore. Will 50 ever let them see the light of day? Or will they end up on the permanent back-burner until they do something foolish like Mase did... and basically ether themselves.
I don't really follow them, but when I saw them on that Hustler show, they seemed as if they have no work ethic.
Wizzle J has a point; there is no work ethic with MOP as you have all seen on "tha ultimate hustler" show, but the simple fact remains that MOP has been doing for a long time what is now very popular in the south simply making good rowdy music, many o kids done got knocked out or dun off due to an MOP song. Problem for MOP is that the dimensions of their subject matter have been limited to guns and liquor. The consumer of real Hip Hop is getting bored and dare I say impatient and he/she is refusing to buy the B.S. Hip Hop hence not seeing a lot of people fiending and protesting for that next MOP Album. On a side note, Fuck Mobb Deep, soul selling idiots. gotta give 50 some props for sonning tha shit out of the hardest niggas in the hood and signing them(Mobb, MOP) They still window shoppers.

I'm determined not to spend more than 30 minutes on this site on any given day...and put in the work that I'm being paid to do here on the job.
Alot of ya'll either need to do the same, or get a new job. Because being on this site as much as alot of ya'll are either (a) speaks of your lack of dedication and drive on the job, or (b) illustrates that the job you have does not require that much effort and attention and is probably not a good stepping stone for advancing to bigger and better things in the future.
Now I said it's an either or. For me, it has been the first of the two...but that's changing. Because when we put in the time that we are paid for, and grind like we are expected too...it will only lead to pay increases, promotions, and advancement. And should it not...well it's time to start lookin for a new job.

Big Sun, I hear ya homey..but you and your field are definetly an exception to the case in my point.
My point is basically this, if you come on here on the weekend or after workhours, the blog is absolutetly dead.
However, you come on here any given time during any given workday and you see the same people spending all of their time. Now, I've already addressed that it was me too, and even though in my heart I was on here to speak what I believe to be truth, and in order to do God's work, there is work on the job to be done and things that had I been on my grind on the job, others across the world would've benefited from in a tangible way. So coming on here and constantly seeing the same old faces on here all day everyday during work time speaks on the fact that many people feel that the dime they are working on is less valuable to them than their own personal free time after hours...and that in itself is an indication of a need for self review and correction.
It is the type of "under appreciation" that is a big problem in the US. And you can even tie that somewhat of what Oprah was saying when she knew others over seas would appreciate more, and it also points to the immigration issue. You find one lazy illegal immigrant that will come waste valuable time on the job when they could be working to rise and improve.
It doesn't exist.
My lunch break is about over...get at me.
