So the boy Hov has TWO new singles ready to put into rotation at once-- "30 Something" and the Beyonce-featured "Hollywood." One of them is most likely to get a video (Hov's 3rd), while Nas is still on his first video and his second single, "Can't Forget About You," isn't getting much attention as of late. His album came out over a month ago. Maybe because he's not top priority; someone needs to be kicked in the ass if they think Kingdom Come is better than Hip-Hop is Dead. Never.
Method Man got no vid and no second single release, The Roots got nothing but one single release, Ghostface's Fishscale had that single with Ne-Yo, which was it. Then his second album in the same year, More Fish, got nothing but... shipment.
I know I sound like I'm hating, but I know I'm not the only one that has noticed this. Where's the support for the rest of the crew over at Def? All of these artists who have released albums have had albums ten times better than Hov's.
I can't understand LL Cool J's bitching and moaning, 'cause he's had the best support from Def next to Jay even though his album was wack, but what he's saying is true, even though it doesn't apply to him.
Def needs a resolution. And Jay-Z needs to decide which one he wants to do: Do his job as the president of a record label, or just be an artist on a record label. Because it's becoming clear that doing both is not mixing well.

Being on a major label and not getting major promotion defeats the purpose. The only reason artists sign to the majors is cause they want a "major push".
