I never really thought about it, but as I pondered the interview Ghost had with Ballerstatus, I had come to the conclusion that those who say they are, are really not; the ones that don't say a word are the ones that probably are:

So who is the king of New York? Many say, as suggested in that article, that Biggie still holds the title... and no disrespect, but amongst all those who claim it, he's resting in peace and not saying a word.

A king of anything musical has to have popular appeal, and get respect in the streets. Even though i hate to agree, T.I. is the king of the south right now cause he fits those criteria. From an outsider lookin in, i'd have to say that it's Jay-Z in NY.
