First of all, this old G-Unit dis track that SOHH Fabulous spoke of (Time is Money is DUSTY), entitled "G Joint," is horrible. He has burnt himself beyond the feeling of frustration, disappointment, and hopelessness to the point where he's murdering himself on the track instead of the actual subject matter. In his voice I hear a tired, lost, furious, struggling lyricist who has fallen into the pits of failure with every step... and he's tired of it.
But why waste your time trying to lyrically slay some fools that have already killed themselves? G-Unit is done; it's like putting a gun to a dead man's head which serves absolutely no purpose; you can't body something that has already seen its demise.
It's unfortunate, and I don't know where he's going to take his career from here, but it's clear that duke is worn out; his screams are falling on deaf ears. None of his rivals are listening. Hell, I don't even think he can hear himself.

I think P is a warrior with no battle in sight which makes his need to focus on himself greater. I'm a styles P fan but I think that he needs to find his niche. It's a fact in the rap game that you can't really have it both ways, you'll either gain commercial success or you'll be respected on the streets by way of mixtapes; styles wants to live in both worlds which isn't an option for him. While the streets may love him you can't feed your kids off of mix tapes. The tracks he's been doing have been lack luster because he doesn't have one clear campaign. Are you trying to be consious? Are you trying to be the hardest? My mentor once told me that the only reason that the Lion tamer can stay alive in the cage is because it needs to focus on one thing to pounce, so when the tamer is holding a stool with four legs the focus is divided. Styles needs to recognize what his best attribute is and pounce in order to save his career from simply just being a respected Emcee to one of the legendary emcees.

Even on the SOHH atl their bashing Jeezy which I thought was long overdue because he's garbage. Not jumping on the badwagon but Lyrics aren't the forte' of 85% of the industry right now. I can remember my uncle making me write down rap lyrics to know what was being said and than looking up everything that I couldn't understand, and looking up the events being talked about. They love Premeier, Outkast, Jeru the damaja, all real hip hop. We've gone away from the root of the culture.

How does hip hop get fixed? I mean I like hearin street anthems and the struggles our people go through. That can be a couple of tracks but murder, drugs, pussy for a wholoe album aint feelin that. Emcee's need to step it up and get out there on sum consious shit.

Also I think hip hop's band-aide lies in changing your hood. I think that the music is the war report the community is the front line. But in a lot of cases the war report is much worse than the front line because of the glamourization and the need to sell these false reports. Right now Hip Hop is like Fax News just lying to cats, I been out in the streets for a minute, I new some big name cats but everybody that wasn't true to themselves got to a echelon than fell off. And that's what nas meant by 'hiphop is dead'. i was watchin a show on tv-1 where Kirk Franklin said he told the students in a sunday school class he was teaching to write down lyrics to a song, and most of them couldn't repeat half of it in the class. Hiphop's not being used as a educational tool like it use too. Songs like 'the message' use to let people outside of the innercity get insite on how it was. now a days, EVERY song makes the innercity look like we all sale drugs, and fuck hoes, and get high all day.
I'm from the south and i like crunk and snap and screw, niggas need to rep they hood and they struggle more accurately. I honestly don't care if u got Nas' vocab, or Jay's use of the English language, but come on man, u just can't be rhyming random words together and callin ya self a nice MC.

it's just a trend. because lyric driven rap was big just a couple of years ago. lyric driven rap didn't go anywhere, it's just not in the mainstream like it use to be. And it's not so much that people don't like lyricism, it's just that all the good lyricis, Lupe, Jay, Ghostface, whoever, haven't been putting out hit songs. a good song has good lyrics, a good beat, and a good hook(at least 2/3), and for it to be a hit it has to be liked by the public. The biggest rap song of the year was about racial profiling, on a hot beat, by 2 nice rappers, with a catchy hook. So i think Lupe could shake up music with his next cd if he made more appealing songs w/o compromising what he stands for.

The church i went to as a youngin had a ballin ass congregation an they had a youth group that took us all over the country for free an they even payed for our basketball team an we played against other ballin christian churches so get your facts right. An muslims are the brokest religion (next to the Aumish) thats why they rock the same suits an trench coats everyday. You need to change that screen name clown.
Anyway, I just leave it alone and let people wander in their spiritual blindness.

No one knows the day of his birth, the Roman Catholic Church felt free to chose this date. The Church wished to replace the pagan festival with a Christian holy day (holiday). The psychology was that is easier to take away an unholy (but traditional) festival from the population, when you can replace it with a good one.
Otherwise, the Church would have left a void where there was a long-standing tradition, and risked producing a discontented population and a rapid return to the old ways.
