Harlem has acted a fool not once, but twice in two days. But what else is new. These two incidents, however, just happen to be high profile.

As a lot of you have heard, Carl Blaze from New York's 105.1 was gunned down in what appeared to be an attempted stick-up somewhere in Harlem, leaving him in critical condition. Doctors said yesterday that he might not live for more than 48 hours. There is no updated info as of yet.

Some of the comments made by the ignorant readers in the SOHH article suggest that hip-hop, not typical New York City street violence, is responsible for this unfortunate incident. What fools said this are a bunch of idiots. Rap music has nothing to do with what happened to Blaze. Nevertheless, my heart goes out to him and I hope that he will pull through.

Harlem struck again at last night's Justo Mixtape Awards at Harlem's Apollo Theater. According to a source who had been present, the 10th Annual Awards had been cancelled about 40 minutes into the show. The jumpstart of it all, they say, was the altercation between some folks (no names avail) from the G-Unit camp and Czar Entertainment's Jimmy Henchmen, also known as The Game's manager. Apparently, Henchmen entered the lobby first, and the people from the G-Unit camp who had no tickets were denied entrance. They became unruly and bum rushed the door, and it is rumored that although they did not "beat down" Henchmen... "they had him perched up against the wall." Cops broke it up and as a result of this they closed down the entire awards show. The source, who is a credible person, says this is what he HEARD while in attendance, not necessarily what he witnessed. However, whatever it may or may not be, I'm sure more of this story will be circulating pretty soon as a lot of journalists were present.

See what happens when you bring a bunch of niggas Uptown, in an already nigga-populated area? Damn shame; cats can't even be considerate and keep the drama out of a respectful awards show. Justo wouldn't have wanted this.
