In case you didn't know, hip hop is not a form of music. Hip hop is a culture. Rap is a form of music and hip hop music is a form of music (rap music and hip hop music are the same thing) It may look or sound confusing but you have to understand what the creators of the culture mean when they say they are hip hop or anyone who makes that statement for that matter. If you live the culture, practice one of the elements ie rap, dj, break, graffiti, clothes, language, street business, you are hip hop as well.

I think that rap music is about to be a wrap. It's not the south's fault totally. It's everybody's fault, mainly radio, the labels, the consumers - all of us. We make everything about first week sales, not allowing anyone to grow. Biggie's first album took 6 months to go platinum. There's no artist development anymore.We're at the point where a cat over 30 is seen as over the hill - that's bullshit. Real talk - I hope hip hop music dies - crash and burns and goes back to the underground where it can be creative again.
