Oh Yeah Style and Ghost always get my money, especially styles I think he's one of the most talented Emcees in the game Beans too, but I think they both concentrate so much on the machismo of the Hip Hop that it's rare to get the real them. Being the hardest on the streets is fine but end of the day you still got to make music and sell it. The battle has to subside once you have no more competition. 5. The fifth 11 is formed by the North Twin Tower of the World Trade Center was 110 stories tall [11 x 10]

6. The sixth 11 is formed by South Twin Tower, the World Trade Center was 110 stories tall [11 x 10]

I'm 1000% sure that there are more hip hoppers that believe in Jesus than there are hip hoppers that are heavily involved in latin hip hop.
Now..the only reason I say that is because I've been tryin to get at SOHH.COM to create a blog for Holy Hip Hop. Of course they would put the disclaimer that they do not endorse Christianity or whatever, but as it is now...alot of folks are sleeping on the fastest growing genre of Hip Hop out there. While current hip hop seems to be dying out, christian hip hop is growing at a rate comparable to early hip hop.
I'd just like to see it considered serious hip hop on a serious hip hop site, which SOHH claims to be. They gonna fall behind the power curve and be tryin to catch up after the fact. Because fact is, it's happening..christian hip hop is coming huge.

I take the Bible as a gem their are certain lessons that can be learned from it as with many other religious text but I don't take it for it's literal meanings. When you recognize that knowledge is infinite you realize the power of God is in you. You can never stop learning and you never will, the mind can absorb infinite amounts of info there for you are a knowledge God. We are the original Design everything falls beneath us. We've just been bamboozled into forgetting the blue print. We are the creators and innovators everyone else just leaches off of our style.

RESPONSE: The translation of the bible has occurred in order to bring it into a language understandable by all languages. There is no current translation of the bible that has been manipulated by monarchs, which strays far from the original translations, and that would still in mondern day be considered "The Bible". Jehovah's Witness tried it...and it has been clearly pointed out where the translation and manipluations have occured...from the original texts to their current text. The New Scientific (or something like that) tried it as well...and the clear abuse and manipulations were brought to light as well. In every case, the main manipulation was removal of the trinity, and Jesus being God.

What you have to understand is when you read the bible, you are not reading "words on a page". By way of the Holy Spirit...these truths in the Bible are revealed to you. Do I allow the "consipiracy theories" and the "translation manipulation" theories to deter me from seeking the Living Word of the Living God through the Holy Bible. Nope. Because according to what I believe, if mistranslations occurred, they would be brought to light and revealed by the Lord to those who seek them with their entirety. And that's me. I also understand and believe that God either causes it, or God allows it. I do not allow myself to stray from the path of seekign the Lords will, which is summed up in Loving the Lord first, and loving neighbors as I do myself. All that "religious" excuses people use for not believing in a relationship with a loving God don't bother me. I'm built for this. If someone can pin point specific corruptions etc, then we can talk about that. But general statements like "corrupt monarchs" are broad stokes of deception in order to keep people from looking any further. I would have to be shown. Remember too...I believe in Relationship with Christ, not religious rhetoric or traditions. I'd rather be at a street service speaking Christ than I would in a church singing hymns.

The Apostle Paul was the biggest condemner of Christians back in the day, and the Lord changed them. If you don’t do anything, you should expect nothing. It is not for us to save anybodies soul, but rather to plant that seed and lead them to Christ. If any person were to come in spewing hate, it would not faze me any homey, I’m stronger than that. I fully understand. Momdukes is always getting on me about going to church. When I try to explain to her that I don't do organized religion, she plays the fellowship card. I tell her I read the Bible as well as the Koran. And once my heart leads me towards something or another I'm going to continue following my own path. I have friends who are 5%, christian, sunni muslim, and rastafari. So I commune with a lot of different perspectives. At the end of the day all of them are good people and that's really all that matters to me.

First off Respect. Second I believe what you are talking about is The Curse of Ham? forgot the correct name. We studied that in my college African-American history class. That was one of my major issues with the Bible. Doing the knowledge to those scriptures. We discovered that that is what the White man uses to justify slavery. Please do all the history. The slave owners used that text as justification. Ham was banished to Afica I believe. And his brothers Europe and Asia? Not really sure it's been 6 years. First off, I don't know what you mean by grafted..but I gather it is a racist descriptive term used by 5%ers to describe white man.

Second, I never said that the bible described Jesus as a white man. I said "Black man is not God, but that doesn't mean God is not a black man". I'm not going to say either way, because I do not know..and the bible gives no indication.

Fact is, there is no physical description of Jesus in the bible. Having said that, one has to assume He looked like everyone else from that area during that time frame.

I've seen white Jesus, I've seen pictures of an Asian Jesus, Black Jesus, Arabian Jesus. Why do most people associate him with being White? I don't know. Maybe because of societal pressures where they are? I just don't know.

I say whoever has an issue with whatever color God is...needs to look even deeper as to find the answer of "why does it matter." Again, it has no bearing on the TEACHINGS of Christ.

You both presented good arguments and its sucks that i'm on my way out of the office so i don't get a chance to read everyones today.

But my backgroud is that i'm 21 now, but i've been raised in a christian beleifs. i've always gone to church untill i joined the military, where i don't have mom's to make me go.

But i've noticed 2 things:

1. I find that i'm more comfortable with my relationship with God by myself more than with others in a fellowship enviroment.

2. Without a preacher to "guide" me into what i should believe in, i've noticed inconsistencies with christian religions. there are christian groups that picket military funerals stating that God killed them because the US allows gays to marry. and i've also learned that kings, such as King James used religion to control his subjects.

I do believe in a higher being, no doubt. but i don't feel like i'm getting 100% truth by blindly following a religion.

Oh, and townmike is still a suburb living, fake military career having, homo e-thug, closet racist.

It really sucks when folks is too worried about the color of everybody and God. I personally don't care if Jesus is green with purple teeth and an afro. I believe He came to die for my sins, I believe He was resurrected to heaven..and I believe He wants personal relationship with me. I CHOOSE to believe. We all got that choice.

Facts are...Jesus walked the earth. Facts are...He was crucified. Facts are...He was placed in the tomb, and facts are...he was no longer there on the third day.

That's not just from the Bible...that's HISTORICAL FACTS! That part is not debated by historians. The part that simple minded people have a hard time grasping is that YES He is God, YES He was RESURRECTED to Heaven...and YES HE IS THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN.

THAT is where faith comes in. Like I said..it's a choice.

The teachings of Christ according to the Gospels. The men that walked with Christ and recorded their own experiences. Read those and find one thing that is hurtful, or out of character for a loving God.

And htownmike, noone criticized...I corrected. I corrected the incorrect information from the post you was referencing, and then I corrected your incorrect response...to that incorrect post. You said the bible never said "let us" and I was showing you that it did. Don't be defensive.

And all the posts regarding not having to go to church, and not having to follow religion...that is correct to a certain extent. The point in church is that we are all apart of the "body of Christ" and in that context...we all have a part to do to further the kingdom. One member of the body can not function to the same ability as the entire body workign in unison. It also helps to be surrounded by like minded people so the devil, the master of all deceit, the author of all lies...does not come in and distort the truth with such things as these false religions and beliefs that God is irrelevant and that Jesus is not Lord.

Now again, in reference to my previous posts..you have to understand that the "church" and "religion" is not where it should be right now. It is not pleasing to God. That is why Christ is not coming back until the Church is cleaned up and "wrinkle-free". Well..that tells me that it is not currently what it should be, which means there are problems. But no problem is corrected by simply recognizing it and fleeing it. Especially not when you believe in Christ. Nope...we have to be come part of the solution.

Good point and you very well could be right. To keep it really real with you (and I don't really like opening up like this but diggit) I used to study Christianity, Islam, 5%, studied with Jehova Witnesses, Black Isrealites, even Rastafarian religions in search of true spirituality. And during my studies in 99 my 34 year old brother suddenly died of a Heart attack. This was a man who didn't drink, or smoke, had 3 children from a divorced marriage but kept his kids more than the momma did. All around genuine "Good Dude". And God took him from me just like that. He took him from those kids who literally have not been the same. My moms has been sick since Sept. of 99. Me my brother and my mother sat there in 91 and watch Magic tell the world he had HIV. This nigga still walkin! My brother gone, and my mom can't walk no more.

I lost it right there man. I lost a lot of spirituality at that point. I don't find myself angry with God anymore but I have a hard time believing the scriptures and everything that goes with it.

That whole King James stuff you are saying is wrong. The reason the King James version was created was to bring it into the english language so that it could reach more people. All the people could not read Greek. This was 600 years after Christ, so it wasn't like it was retranslated dozens of times over before it got there. It was a work of many to translate the greek into English. Beside too...like I said in my earlier posts...among the millions of Christians, there are many that speak greek and had their been any overtly mistranslated or misconstrued information..it would've been brought forth. As a matter of fact, I will step out and say to you that the Bible is one of the most corraborated books in history. Most of the events in there can be historically tracked down. It is the "God interjections" into the situations and things like that which historians do not speak on. Because it is not for them to do.

Jesus is coming back when the bride (the church) is ready. Like I said..that indicates to me that the church is not yet ready, which indicates to me that there are alot of problems in the church. Church being the organization of believers. And it is because we are humans. When we accept we are not perfect and only by looking wholly to God will we achieve what it is God wants in the church.

So yes..that is correct. That is why you do not look at MAN (church) for the answers and explanations, and do not deal in RELIGION. Deal with relationship.

Stop making reasons not to believe homey. IF anything, you are only furthering to explain to yourself that Christ is real..and that we as people need him.

Dog..thanks so much for sharing. Let me share with you my story bro. In 96 I got saved and embraced Christ and Christianity. In about 98, I lost my grandmother and my daughter. I prayed, but did not hear anything from him. From that point on, until June 2005...I quit God. I was pissed off homey. How could He do that and not answer me when I call on Him??!! I quit him...hardcore.

Between 98 and 2005 there were many times I should've been killed. From going off the highway at 75 falling asleep hitting a tree, to catchin a beat down by bouncers and the po-po...to messing with the wife of a Naval Bomb Technician.

From 98 until I've fathered 4 babies by 4 women. I was married in 03. The last baby I fathered was with my wives sister. Dog..I repented..gave my life back to Christ and He has saved my marriage! We are stronger than ever homey, even through all this. He is even using me and my life and my example to demonstrate His love. Come to find out, after continuing to see Him..He revealed to me why He was not answering my prayers in the beginning.

At that time, I was living as a Christian...but still bringing poison into my ears, mind and soul. It was Hip Hop. Now we all know the message preached in hip hop, and if you kno anything about Christ...you know He would not be listening to it. The bible tells us to die to self. I was still tryin to be in that, and follow Christ. I was doing it in secret. But I couldn't hide it from him. See...when you have unrepented sin...He sees that. He brings it to your attention, and when you don't act on it...he'll let you go in your sin. He never leaves, but when you make that choice..he honors it. He is not a gangster. He shows his love by being here when you are ready to come back.

When I came back to Christ in 05, He immediately introduced me to some of the best hip hop I have ever heard in my life! Real talk. I have even had the opportunity to become really good friends with the artist whom which God used to show me that there is another way. I HAD NO IDEA CHRISTIAN HIP HOP EXISTED...MUCH LESS THAT IT WAS THIS HOT!! So now, He uses me and had created a nationwide ministry called S.E.A.L.S. Ministrzy. When you called on God and he never answered what made you keep calling? It took time for me to start calling again and to be honest I can't say he/she has answered yet. My life financially is in a much better place than it was when I was angry but I still can't say God has answered my calls or prayers if you will.

And about my daughter...man...I still ain't really understand exactly why God called her home. She was only 22 weeks pregnant when she had her. Maybe it was because God was tryin to wake me up. I mean, she's in heaven now, but I was far from ready to be a father. I have let the anger go.

Man, when I was praying out to God..I was calling out in anger, expecting to hear from Him RIGHT THEN! I was still learning to lean on God, but by me holding on to the past...that tells you I was not doing my all. Sometimes God allows us to step on a sticker, or walk into a bad situation so that we can learn from it. You see..what the devil means for bad, God will use for good.

I quit calling him homey. And just like you, I was no longer angry at God...I just wasn't concerned with God anymore. That's called spiritual numbness. I was numb to it.

When we moved here to TX, me..my wife, her sister and my step son were in McDonalds. And an older black gentlemean...at least 85 staggers by with a cane. He passes...then He comes back to me and placed his hand on my shoulder. He said "Son..are you a preacher." Dog..right then, I knew what was up. It was God tryin to call me back. I said no sir, he said "You are going to do something great one day". Man, sent chills all over me. See...God was sending this man in my path to try and get my attention to stop me from doing what I was about to do. I didn't listen. About a month after that I started sleeping with my wife's sister...for a year and a half. Towards the end, I kept feeling a tug on my heart. I knew it was God, but I was doin my thang. Man, then I found out she was pregnant. And I tell you what...God used R&B to get at me. That Lyfe Jennings...he's got a song where he is calling out church folks. I went home, confessed to my wife...repented before God and have been on that path ever since. For about 4 months, I got no action from wifey. I went from baggin two a day, to zero..zilch. God was testing me. He sent test after test with other women into my life and I passed. He revealed other areas in my life that needed to be cleaned up. I had continued smokin weed claimin it was from him, but the bible says what is done in the dark will come to light. It's illegal, I stopped. Once, over time, he dealt with all my issues, THEN He put me to work in His kingdome.

So the key may, is to believe. To have faith, to surrender it to Him, and just ask for his guidance, direction and understanding. And just know, He may not say "Oh ok...here you go". Just like a baby must learn to roll over before they crawl, to crawl before they walk, to walk before they run....He will bring you through different stages in your spiritual life. And just like that baby stays lookin up at their parents for guidance, direction and encouragement..you must look to God for that. It's easy to say "OH THANK YOU JESUS..YOU ARE GREAT YOU ARE GOOD YOU LOVE ME". It's easy to say that when your bills or paid, or you're all healthy and all is well. But the real test is what do you do when it is hard. God isn't a vending machine, we don't just pop in for the blessing....shake him when it don't drop immediately and walk away when we think it's broke. Naw, like I been sayin...it's relationship. All relationships are two way. Give and take.
