Alongside Nas, DJ Clue Fires Back With The Professional Pt 3

The first effort went platinum, and the second was said to be just as good as the first.

After a few years of keeping his mixtape hustle on slow mode, a source at Island Def Jam recently said that Cluemanatiiiiii is slated to release the follow-up to the second, The Professional Pt 2, December 19th... the same day as Nas' long-awaited Hip-Hop is Dead... The N. It's November, and Clue has no single or video for that joint with Fabolous and Kanye West. Better get to work.

Not only will these two be dropping on the same day, but according to IDJ, Young Jeezy's The Inspiration and Ghostface's More Fish, is set for the same drop of December 12th. Despite the recent reporting, the December release date for Fabolous is NOT final.

Teeny bopper Jeezy dropping the same day as the lyrical Ghost? Considering the fact that most consumers only like that young shit, I wonder how that's gonna work out for Killah. Um, where's the new single? Where's the vid?

In further New York news, the 4th Annual Hip-Hop TakeOver is back. The twenty-nine hour radio show -- which showcases the underground, gritty, conscious, and the boom-bap aspect of rap but also airs commercial cuts -- starts Friday, November 10th at 7pm until Saturday, November 11th on WBAI 99.5 FM.

With previous interviews with early hip-hoppers such as DJ Red Alert, Kool Herc, MC Lyte, and the newer rap acts such as Kanye West and Drag-On, you can expect plenty of surprise appearances from both hip-hop pioneers and your favorite newbies.

If everyone wasn't so consumed with ratings and status, this annual set-up could be a daily routine. Real hip-hop heads, be sure to check it out.

Comin Straight Outta Amsterdam...

I will be copping that Hip Hop Is Dead and that More Fish.

Possibly that Professional joint, if it's as good as the first one.

Not that Young Jeezy because he sucks.

I'm an official insomniac.

I dont Give a Shit about WACK aZZ Jeezy..It's all about that NAS and GHOST !! Fuck the REST !

u hating ass niggas. jeezy is going to outsell ghost PERIOD. END OF CONVERSATION. Jeezy could be doing everything you ask of him and you faggots would still hate casue he from the south. I got respect for ghost but when he tried to tell people not to support d4l becasue he didnt think it was real hiphop that was some hata shit. How you gonna try and stop another man from eating just becasue he dont make the type of music you wanna hear. that some childish, female type shit. as long as cats aint selling drugs, robbing or killing i could give a damn what kind of music they make.Long live the south. anybody that has something to say please have a valid argument to back up statements like "jeezy fucking wack" at least that way you will be reinforcing you disses with a little proof so i can better understand why you are dissing.

Realest you going off early this morning! I heard some cuts from the Nas album and it was hot, want even lie I heard some new Ghost and it was hot, but I just cant feel him the same way anymore after he needed a gimmick to sell records and stooped that low.

ATL WESTSIDE ZONE 1

The albums that i'll definitely pick up are Nas' album, and maybe Clue's jawn. Jays is a definite. I may pick up ghost, but the one track I heard on Allhiphop.com, i wasn't feeling it that much. he was using the beat from "the juice" soundtrack. Rakim's jawn from that soundtrack. We'll see though. But Jay & Nas, i'm definitely getting those. But Jeezy, you gotta admit, his track selection is on point. He picks nice beats for his projects.

@Reggieshotta what gimmicks did Ghostface use?

@Realest the reason I hate on niggaz like Jeezy is because I'm used to listening to Wu-Tang, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Ultramagnetic MC's, Nas, G Rap, KRS, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Masta Ace, Snoop, Big L, Big Pun, Lord Finesse, EPMD, Guru, Pharcyde, Souls of Mischief, NWA and Outkast.

I'm used to lyrics that make me think and nod me head. Not that watered down garbage that people from certain areas think is "HOT".

To The Realest:

Cats don't respect Jeezy because....well, simply put; he sucks lyrically. Ya boy doesn't have any lyrical substance at all. You can't really compare him to say....Jay-Z or Nas or Ghostface b/c he's not in their league. Yes Jeezy will out sell Ghost and possibly Nas b/c of who he caters to. Only the youngin's (basically your 21 & under crowd) buy his garbage. I'm 29 (not young but definitely not old...yet) but I prefer MCs that can actually spit and have more to offer me lyrically than annoying ad-libs and slow, dumbed down rhyme schemes with a halfway catchy hook. I'm not just randomly hating on Jeezy like some folks will. My standards or expectations of MCs are higher than what he has to offer. Not that he cares b/c he's getting money and that's all that matters to him and the other dummies who follow that "as long as he's getting paid then you shouldn't criticize" asthetic. Yes MCs should get that money but at what cost? To me, Jeezy is in the same class as say....Jim Jones. That ain't saying much for him. Everybody has their opinion and this is mine. Some will agree and some won't.

Damn, Drag-On!! I aint heard that name in a minute!! Where the fuck has that dude been??? "Spit These Bars" went fed. But i digress...

I dont hate Clue but i mean is anybody really checkin for him like that? I mean, theres so many other mixtape djs out, not to mention hes been gone for a long ass time. There are mad mixtape series out right now, that are selling massive units, that hes gonna be competing with. Gangsta Grillz and Southern Smoke just to name a couple. I mean if he can come back and hit platinum status wit a mixtape again, then more props to him but i think he got his work cut out for him now. That first Professional did go fed tho.

the realest

Are you fucking Jeezy? If you like Jeezy buy his album and shut the fuck up. This is no hater shit either. If people aren't feeling Jeezy, then let it be. Stop with your defensive Southern bullshit.

By the way, Realest: Jeezy being from the South has nothing to do with why most people say he's wack. OutKast from the South but no one goes at them because they nice with theirs, point blank. ScarFace from the South, same thing. Luda from the South.... so forth & so on so that argument has no legs, bruh! If you nice, cats gonna respect it. Jeezy is just another artist that happens to be from the South who just happens to be wack to a lot of folks. Let's be real: There are more than a few prominent Southern MCs who just aren't that good but the same can be said for every region in Hip-Hop right now. It's just that The South is out in front and its artists are the ones who you see and hear the most right now and a lot of it is straight up garbage. I'm not making this a North vs. South thing at all.

Now as far as that Clue, Ghostface & Nas, yeah I'mma cop them all when they drop. They can keep that Jeezy though.

FUCK Nas...Yall b on his nutts way too much, get da hair from off ya lips niggaz. Jeezy Finna sell off tops cuz real gon fuck wit dat, Errybody bumpin his shit no matter where i go...nobody gives a fuck bout Ghostface...last time he had to go get neo jus to push his shyt off the shelves a lil bit...no words Fo da Dj Clue thang..dat nigga need to put sum money in his pockets right now..

Jeezy is trash. Like my man said, his music is for the young thug trapping wannabees. I am over 30 and only respect MCs with real lyrics. Nas, Jay, The Game and Ghost are on my radar this holiday season. Who cares about DJ Clue yelling ass.

BORRRIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG!

Da KiD BaDD NeWz

Hey snotty nose! "It's understood, I do it for the hood." LMAO.............

Here is the rest of the sole called lyrics.

The streets love jeezy and I love 'em back
If I still had the work I'll front you a sack
It's all gravy still reaching wit my words
And make 'em feel good on the first and the third
Take you back when I was sixteen wits a bankroll
Posted on a corner like a light pole
They used to call us track stars
Before they even stopped we ran to dem cars
And everybody on the block got the same agenda
Hustle from the beginning of January til the end of December
Wasn't smokin purple then it was more like bobby brown
On that hen straight dog got a nigga drinking brown (7/11 nigga you know)
You know 10 to 4 shake 'em up talk shit get my drink and let 'em go
Even when I'm on the road the gangstas stay in touch
Why you think they love me so much (ha ha!)

CAN YOU SAY FUCKING WACK!

Peace to NYC!

Drag-On - dam Rough Ryder Drag-On? Dayummm this dude had to be hiding wit Osama and dem...

Huey Freeman: Hell yeah!

Yeah thinking is so underrated! I swear kids it don't hurt! I been doing it for 27 (almost 28) years...lol

I am going to agree with Black and Iceberg Slim I am 28 far from old but a bit more mature. I can toleerate Jeezy music if i hear it i would maybe burn his album and say yeah i have it or heard it but i cant take him seriously as an M.C. too many adlibs Yeah! thats right! ddamn! you know it gets repetitive after a while. And i am getting tired of people from the south saying i am hating on the whole region because i am critical of a few artists. I respect Realests views at least he makes his points free of hate. But this dude Da KiD BaDD NeWz sounds stupid. When you say nobody gives a fuck about ghostface i could take that as you hatin on New york but rather i say well he is not for you he spits real lyrics but dont say he is a nobody as far as jeezy selling alot i agree he will do numbers but everybody who sells aint nice m.c's vanilla ice went platinumso be for real here where as nice Mos def has not! go figure!

Da KiD BaDD NeWz how you gonna say we on Nas dick when its obvious Jeezy cum is still dripping from the sides of your mouth duke! real talk! wipe that shit off and say something that makes sense!

WUTTUP WORLD??????????????

I'M FROM THE SOUTH AND I RESPECT JEEZY'S HUSTLE, AND HIS ABILITY TO MOVE UNITS. DOES MY PRIDE WANT TO DEFEND HIM CAUSE HE'S FROM THE SOUTH? THE ANSWER IS YES. HOWEVER I AM ALWAYS HONEST AND I HAVE TO AGREE WITH CATS WHO SAY HE'S NOT LYRICAL... HE'S NOT. BUT DO YO THANG JEEZY, IF THEY HATE LET HIM HATE AND WATCH THE MONEY PILE UP...

Damn...sucks for Ghost. 14,000 copies aint that bad hommie.

That's the problem you don't know who. That's why your a Jeezy fan.

AND Jeezy a real nigga, and he don't like rappers!!

The Professional Pt. 1 is a classic. I forgot all about it. If new hip hop doesn't satisfy your appetite, you can always depend on vintage hip hop. It never lets you down.

FUCK THAT NIGGA!!!!

the south is a very (if not the most) ignorant and uneducated region in the US (in the black populated areas)

first of all....if you even have the audacity to mention jeezy with lyrical greats--you have already chosen ignorance as your way of life

it aint all the young......its the southern young who now feel as though they have to support those from their states....not the best! same cats who would get killed in new york for disrespecting the ill niggas of our music! ( yes.....new yorks music you dick riders!)

sells, sells, sells.....yet another sign of utter ignoramous thought process.....what happened to skills, skills, skills? skills=intellect, sells=im not an intellect but i sell more! stupid ass south niggas!

fuck jeezy.....he aint motivating thuggs....he making black niggaz morrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre fuckin ignorant! dont praise jeezy like he some fuckin saviour!

in closing

im from ny and yes ima fuckin hater

1. i hate ignorant blacks
2. i hate those who accept ignorance
3 i hate the south (for polluting something for us that couldve been more powerful then the civil rights movement)

I think that real Emcees have a hard time because they concentrate on sales to the Sheepish masses as opposed to building lyrically with the Shepards and teaching the sheep to become shepards. The nature of the game has changed. The culture of hip hop goes dead when it fails to teach or speak about the struggle that hip hop was born from. What's up to the usuals.

You niggaz can hate on Jeezy and the South all you want but bottom line...Jeezy is gonna sell and your precious Ghostface and Nas are gonna flop.

No one wants to hear Ghostface babble for an entire album (again). "More Fish" huh? More like, "More Garbage" This nigga makes no sense when he rhymes and you call that lyrical?

And why do you NYC cats always have to compare Jeezy to Jay-Z or Nas etc. We all know that they are in totally different categories. Southernors dont compare Jeezy with your artist. Shit, we aint even worried about ya'll. So why do ya'll(NYC) do it?

I agree with that one hunned. I want to slap every lil nigga i see with a snowman shirt on. it aint cool for 10 year olds to be wearin that shit, that's not something any artist, let alone a black artist from the hood that claims to know the bad sides of the trap. But i'm 21 and never had to sell dope (nobody has too) and i just like the music. "thug motivation" was hot.

But most of us old enough to know that 90% of what rappers talk about is wrong, not glorious, and over exaggerate. My only problem with Jeezy is that he aiming for the kids cause they eat that dumb shit up. But GFK aint that much better, did they just have a pic of him stuffin fish with coke a couple of days ago?

I tried to sit this one out but your just talking stupid. Have you listened to what Nas is talking about? You gotta open your ears fam, where are you from? Obviously what's happening in the streets right now is what's Got cats in the shape they are in today. Shit is worse. The problem is (not nessesarily you) But these dumb cats think they makin moves in the streets and they just workers. La Costra Nostra ain't out on the streets they own the Pizza place on your corner, the Tao gangs ain't hustling crack to they people they runnin underground whore houses and gambling establishments, what are we doing? Jeezy's a snitch to even be wearing a snow man tee and talking about the business. REAL CATS AIN'T ADVERTISING THE DIRT THEY DO. I'm 27 so I came up in the era where if you did it you were quiet, (unless you were from Harlem.) The game is fucked therefore so is the rap game. These corporate Crackers told you to be out there with it so now you have a lack of lyrical emcees who only see Dollar signs instead of the ones in the community that say help.

OH YEA BIG SUN I C YOU!

Stop praising Jay-z like he's God. You NY niggaz sweat that nigga way too much.

And who the fuck said Jeezy was a savior anyway? You NY cats are really reachin.

and by the Nas/Ghost are gonna flop harder than a fat chick jumping off a diving board!

How can there be "More Fish" when "Fishscale" sold 11 copies? Makes no sense at all!

This nigga makes no sense when he rhymes and you call that lyrical?

Posted by: Da Prime Minista at November 8, 2006 09:52 AM

Being a Jeezy fan you wouldn't understand. I can't believe the South actually fends for this dude. Let's keep it real. Yes, Jeezy will sell but he is garbage. It is, what it is. Luda is the king of the South! Well, next to Kast.

@Da Prime Minister

I'm gonna buy you a copy of Ironman, Supreme Clientele and Fishscale. Ghostface is a motherfucking hip hop legend, Jeezy is a motherfucking piece of shit who wishes he was from our city nigga. He recreated Paid In Full for one of his videos.

And the reason why southern artists don't compare themselves to NY artists is because there is no comparison. We invented this shit.

Nas ain't gonna flop nigga, all his joints have gone platinum. Nas is the greatest! Jeezy is a fucktard!

^^^^that was me

SOHH IM OUT FOR 2DAY, THE BELL IS RINGIN SOON! MUCH LOVE TO THE USUALS AND TO THE PPL WIT SENSE!
