Over a week ago, someone from the Mobb Deep publicity camp dropped the email about the airplane ordeal into the SOHH NYC inbox, and I simply forwarded it to the editors. What was I gonna use it for? It's good that they were okay but it served as no interest to me until I read the Mobb Deep interview that was posted last week. What I observed from this article was a totally different attitude from them both. After having been scared to death, they seem to be speaking as if they have come back down to earth, even though Prodigy got in trouble with the law this past weekend:

I dont give a fuck about all of the hate. I think the Blood Money album is 2nd best, only to The Infamous. 50 did what he was supposed to do, he kept it grimey. You can actually play Blood Money all the way through without skipping any, the only other Mobb Deep album like that is The Infamous.
People don't get that Mobb Deep are just a rap duo, but they joined G-Unit which is almost a gang now. (You have Blood and Crip sets claiming allegiance to G-Unit now.) Even if 50 is a rat, he's still the craziest Nigga in the industry. The only 2 pop songs on Blood Money, are hidden tracks at the end. So why the hate? Mobb Deep are still grimey as fuck! And Prodigy's foul, bullshit attitude only proves it! The difference between now and 10 years ago is that finally they're getting money! It's overdue. Of course they're in it for the money! Lol. All you so-called Hip Hop purists make me laugh. Mobb Deep never gave a fuck about the culture! They've always been Gangsta Rap! Niggaz kil me, acting like they lost artistic talent or something? As far as Mobb Deep goes, I'm worn out on G unit. I remember when the Mobb used lay hit after hit and were getting radio spins all over Chicago. The Shook Ones is arguably one of the top 5 joints in hip hop history. Now, I don't know. I don't judge them because I remember the old days and them niggas went and got paid.
