"This ["Pain in My Life"] IS my official first street Single off of my new LP, Greatest Story Never Told... Its a song that I felt I wanted to put out first... I don't give a fuck about radio spins, Give a fuck about the clubs, all I care about is the betterment of my people and the people like myself..... This song reflects everyday life that REAL people deal with everyday..hate it or Love it, Im doing what the fuck I wanna do in this fickle, bullshit ass, capatalist driven music business...And to those who are supposed to be on my team that are slacking... Dont Worry, Ill carry everybodies fucking load..Thats just what I do....Enjoy the fucking music...." -- Saigon

It's about time.

This would be the first time I actually witnessed a newcomer refuse to sell out for the industry. People may look at this and think it's no big deal, but this definitely says a lot about Saigon's character, his vision for hip-hop, and the unwillingness to compromise with this poor excuse for a hip-hop community. Maybe all these other sucker MCs will take notice now and stop giving blow jobs to these greedy executives in exchange for a video and some extra radio play.

Bet everything that Lupe, Saigon's Atlantic Records labelmate, will get more push than him. But fuck it. Brownsville, Brooklyn has one hell of a soldier on their team, and Just Blaze is co-signing. There's no doubt that Greatest Story Never Told is gonna be crazy, and Saigon even said himself that it's a "certified classic."

Sometimes, there's no need for extensive promotion in order to sell a classic LP. But only time will tell.

Speaking of promotion, this is what Nas' Hip-hop is Dead track listing is supposed to look like:

01. Wake Up New York (Intro)
02. Bullet X
03. What's Good NY
04. We Were Gangstas feat. Scarface
05. Mexico
06. QB Savages feat. Bravehearts
07. Polo And Guess
08. Unauthorized Biography Of KRS-One
09. The Nasty One
10. Seed Of Sekou
11. Legendary
12. Rebel To America
13. Hallie Selassie
14. Moon feat. Kelis
15. Talk Of NY (Bonus Track)

With no lead single or video riding the airwaves or even making so much as a chirp, the LP is SUPPOSEDLY slated for release September 12th in the U.S and the 11th in the UK. I don't believe it, nor do I believe a rap veteran should be thrown back into the scene with no buzz, no vid, no nothin'... but good luck.

On a side note, maybe Saigon's debut will pick up where Nas' classic left off.

Nah, Nas' album is slated for November not September...he is still working on his album and I hear its fuckin crack. SAIGON IS MY DUDE! I know only greatness is coming from him!

I just banged my girl right now.

NAS IS AN BEING STUPID! HE IS STUCK IN THE PAST! IT IS SUCH A SHAME TO SEE A MAN OF 'INTELLEIGENCE' TALK SHIT LIKE HE DOES. NAS IS AN IDEALIST, NOT A REALIST, JUST LIKE IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE. BOTH GOT SICK RHYMES AND FLOWS BUT NO NO1 HITS! HELL, PUT OUT A COUPLE OF HITS AND THE MARKET THAT WOULD BENEFIT FROM YOUR SHIT WOULD ACTUALLY HEAR IT! STOP FUCKING AROUND SAYING HIP HOP IS DEAD AND 'OH i WISH IT WAS LIKE BACK IN THE DAY' GET A GRIP NIGGA, THE WORLD MOVES FORWARD, DONT BE MADE AT NIGGAS LIKE CHINGY AND PAUL WALL, THIS SHIT IS ENTERTAINMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! reply to what's up with Nas? Yo cousin these cats you talkin bout 50, jay-z, paul wall, they are no where near the caliber in Emcee as Immortal tech or a Nas and fuck commerce nigga you do this shit because it's hip hop. I'm a NY park jam nigga straight up before hip hop faggots were sellin they asses for sprite and runnin they people down the drain with the materialism. You a Fag nigga and you probably think nelly is nice because he sells however many albums. Real hip hop niggas that used to do the hike from Bk to queens or harlem to south BX to see these cats before the industry whored the rest of hip hop up know. Keep your bitch ass laffy taffy ass opinions to yourself, wanna know why hip hop is garbage cause of dummies like you who accept the mediocrity of the game and it's lack of lyrics which have been replaced by mindless shoulder leaning. You why hip hop is dead nigga. Artistry and business are two different things. Black people need saving and if cats are willing to sacrafice career over commerce they real hip hop artists. But You'll never understand ho. So you gets a big Fuck Outta here From NYC pussy.

That Saigon joint is good (not amazing, not bad, but good). To me, I think it is a bad move to make this his first single, because this would barely get him any new fans. He should have released the banger ft. Q-tip & Fatman Scoop...To me this song is kind of 'too smart' for the average dumb hiphop listners we got these days. Never the less, I'm hoping that this new single will become popular in the mainstream.

I just banged my girl right now.

Saigon = The Future

Hope both of these dudes do real big things with real little promotion and shock the hell out of these Laffy Taffy lovers. Like my man Sai said you don't need a booty shaking anthem to be ya lead single. As long as you have faith in God the rest will follow. Fcuk corporate Amerikkka and the Bush Administration! This is real Hip-Hop, this is politically incorrect music! Regardless of Saigon or Nasir's numbers they both are going to contribute to the Renaissance of this musical genre I grew up to love and steadily growing to hate. Hopefully this will change everything.

PEACE!
BROOKLYN STAND UP!

^^^^^^^^^^^^

Cornball ass ni99a

Aside from the "Nelly is nice", "Listen to Paul Wall" and the "I like Laffy Taffy" I am going to have to agree with what up with nas for the most part. Niggaz is going to come in here and take shots at him, but for the most part it was a lot of truth to what he said and niggaz know it. You can think of at least 20 rappers who our underground who should have deals, but the bottomline line is they don't and the underlining factor to them not being successful is there inability to make a hit. Now I have heard a lot of things good and bad about Saigon since I been on this site and I have yet to hear anybody in the Detroit area speak on this cat. To be honest if I want to hear somebody truly get on the mic and spit some shit I will listen to Nas above anyone else because I already know what I am gonna get and he has been know to have a few hits in his days. I know that I have heard niggaz mention at least 100 rappers on this site from all over the U.S. who is suppose to be tight and do you really think that niggaz is going to get all their mixtapes hell naw. So yall "real hip heads" need to put yall heads together and promote the niggaz yall think is the best because the bottomline is that if yall are not in agreement on these up and coming cats how are we who our not that big on the mixtape scene suppose to know who is the best.

No shot at those who refer to themselves as real hip hop heads, but yall need to understand that one of two things is going on 1) the real hip hop heads our not supporting the real hip hop artists or 2) these real hip hop artists our not selling because there our not that many real hip hop heads; either way yall can't complain if yall our not supporting or if there our not that many of yall to market to. Just something to think about.

I hear niggas saying words don't matter, but I don't see the logic in that. Are you content to put on those headphones on and listen bullshit and know at the end of the day -- "My nigga's a CAPITALIST, he's makin that gaup..."?

If its just simply about making money, then niggas should just get an MBA from Wharton and they can make even mo' paper.

Music is something different, remeber? Thats why REAL music lovers love REAL music. Thats why we listen cats like Nas, Mos Def, Kweli, and we have to sit here and explain it to y'all.

Good Music Is Supposed To Be The Destination, Making A Fortune Is Just A Side Effect.

Odhis, Xclusive whats up?

Don't get me wrong, we all need money, but I cant knock a nigga for staying true to what he wants his music to convey. Its not like Nas is complaining about being po' or anything like that, let him do him, is all.

That said, does Polo and Guess feature Jay-Z?

to whats up with Nas? at August 28, 2006 06:31 AM

You don't know what your talking about.
How can you say Nas has no hit records.

I know I can
It ain't hard to tell
Made you Look

You forget about those.

Kids don't be a hater like this dude
And stop with the Why is he working for Jay shit. He don't work for Jay he work with Jay.

One Mic was a hit too.

It aint hard to tell, made you look-yeah they may have been hits back in the park jam days but goddamn me if they would even enter the charts these days! Nas has had a hit in I know I can during the modern era so I guess it makes him a one hit wonder, a lyrical peddler and an industry struggler. He aint gonna go anywhere near platinum and niggas know it. FACE THE MOTHERFUCKING FACTS. HIP HOP AINT DEAD, NAS JUST AINT GOT THE ABILITY TO MAKE HIT RECORDS FORR HIP HOP TODAY-GIVE HIM RESPECT FOR TRYING WITH THAT JOINT HE DID WITH HIS POPS BUT IT ALL FAILED MISERABLY

Whaddup Usuals?

That new Nas album will be fire, can't wait until it drops. I imagine the tracks will get changed around some...Jay said there would def. be a collabo...don't see one listed. I'm hoping they plan on following through with that.

What's up with Nas.
Again you don't make any sense.

You just said Nas was a one hit wonder after mentioning two of his hits.

are you puttin crack on your cocoa puffs or what? Nas is gonna sell well.

Saigon is gonna do well cause he's on HBO's hit show Entourage. (which Jeremy Piven won an emmy for last night for best supporting actor in a comedy)

Stop with the east coast hate.
Cause your favorite emcee can't even fuck with me on the mic.

@Whats Up with Nas?

What are you talking about fam...all of Nas's albums are plat...check RIAA.com and see for yourself. That wouldn't be the case if he didn't have the ability to make hit records.

That sound? That was your argument going out the window.

I see we have some wanna be fortune telling mothafuckas in here. Niggas swear they know every damn thing...its crazy how extremely smart niggas think they are. Nas cant make a hit? Fuck outta here. Will I hit the lotto tomorrow nigga? Let me know.

Will I hit the lotto tomorrow nigga? Let me know.

When I get that new Saigon shit, I'll put it on while me and his girl be sexing. When that bitches face don't do it for me anymore, I'll put on that Nas album and close my eyes and imagine I'm bumping ugly with Kelis while I'm doing dude's girl. I'm a self-proclaimed hater.

Good morning all...

@ODEMIC

Good Music Is Supposed To Be The Destination, Making A Fortune Is Just A Side Effect.

I like that notion of things. I am too a music lover and I don't have hear you on the radio to listen to you. I love Mos Def, Talib, Rhymefest (totally slept on)- I shall buy your joint anyway. I just hate that Record labels follow instead of lead. With all these old skool hip hoppers in charge seems like they could turn the tide instead of falling in the ocean to drown with the rest of the mediocrity.

Xclusive & Ciceroe...I see you!

WELL YOU SE NAS HAS MONEY HES NOT GRETTY,HE DOESNT NEED TO HAVE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS HES GOOD WHAT HE HAS .IM SURE HE HAS ENOUGH TO GET WHAT HE EVER WANTED. YOU SE THE THING ABOUT NAS IS ,YEA HE CAN MAKE A REAL COMMICAL SONG BUT HE DOESNT WANT THAT SPOT LIGHT HE DOESNT WANT TO BE TALKED ABOUT IN THE MEDIA LEFT AND RITE BAD ENOUGH HE GETS TALK ABOUT a LITTLE,DONT YOU KNOW PEOPLE THAT ARE TO MUCH IN TGHE SPOT LIGHT LIKE 50 CENT OR JAY Z,THEY CANT GO TO THE MALL THEY CANT GO TO THE STORE, THEIR STUCK IN SIDE WITH BODY GUARDS 24,7 , ONLY TIME WERE THEY CAN WALK AROUND FREE IS IN SOME OTHER COUNTRY WERE NOT TO MUCH PEOPLE NO THEM,JUST THINK HOW WOULD IT FEEL NOT BEING ABLE TO JUST WALK DOWN THE STREET OR TO GO TO THE STORE OR JUST BE FREE , PEOPLE IN THE SPOT LIGHT CANT DO THAT ,THEIR IN FEAR SOMEONE MIGHT SHOOT THEM OR SOME CRAZE FAN WILL FOLLOW THEM EVERY WERE,PEOPLE LIKE NAS,FAT JOE,DMX THEY CAN WALK DOWN THE STREET WITH OUT NO CRAZY SHT GOING ON YOU NO WHY CAUSE THEIR REAL PEOPLE,IT MIGHT CAUSE A LITTLE RUCKUS BUT OVER ALL THEY WILL GET TO POINT A TO POINT B WITH OUT BEING SHOT,NOTICE ITS THE RAPPERS THAT BRAG ABOUT WHAT THEY GOT OR THE ONES THAT START TROBLE ARE THE ONES THAT CANT WALK DOWN THE STREET IN FEAR OF SOMETHING HAPPENING, WHEN HIP HOP IS DEAD ALBUM COMES OUT IM BUYING 5 OF THEM. ^^ Blah blah...here we go with this...again. Some of u niggas is just too sensitive. Either way you'd be saying the same shit only difference is now, u feel u have a justified reason to. I aint saying he will or won't cause I dont know, shit nobody knows, but I think he'll do good.

What up
@Huey Freeman:
I have only heard a couple of things about Saigon. I will check him out later on the web.

But I am sure that Nas will do well. I would buy a Nas album b4 I hear a single - he is a given like Outkast, Kanye (yes I said it) and TI (def. Like the underground better)

"I dont give a fuck about Radio Spins, Give a fuck about the clubs, all I care about is the betterment of my people and the people like myself."-how u gonna better yourself if u say things like this.bottom line hip hop is a business.U dont wanna be 50yrs old and be broke or lookin for a deal.make money now while u still can or else you will need a rappers pension.

Nasty!

comin back out!
thats the same fan based that made em go platty!
fitty go platty!
waiting for this nigga to make one street banga!
now come on!
you have to be stupid or slow to not bank on nas puttin out a street anthem!
shit he got like three underground joints pumpin now!
so when its official!
nas will be on top again!
then thats when the chain reaction will happen!
these new niggas are gonna wanna be conscious to a degree!
they gonna wanna bite and copy etc etc!
the dude "what is nas.." said that they have limited access to the mixtape scene!
of course he doesnt know whats poppin!
they stil thinking the south is new and exciting!
but its dying a fast death over here!
the catchy songs are out there.
everything after that will have to "say something"

Fuck these fools come from with "Hip Hop is a business" you ol' coon, Jew dick riding ass niggas. You can tell when a fool started listening to Rap 2 years ago with stupid statement like that. Read what u wrote outloud and listen to how stupid you sound.......now slap yourself for me. Thank You.

When will people learn that business is now apart of Hip Hop, but that is NOT what Hip Hop "is"? Get the Fuck...outta here.

i jus wanna shout out Anonymous and Xclusive BK Dude real is real

I don't think what the south is doing is all bad. The south has realized there are a new generation of dollars that buy their music. I am not going to hate on the south b/c that is where I was born and bread - and where southern children are way more familiar with skaiting rinks and dance offs - it is really an evaluation of new culture. Everybody don't wanna hear Laffy Taffy (some kids do) and everybody don't wanna hear One Mic eithers - when kids wanna have fun they tend to stray away from the subjects that are hard for them to decipher through - they would rather Lean Wit It and Rock Wit It - I can feel that either way - some days I just wanna hear a sick beat with no message - some days I want to feel uplifted so I pop in Common or The Fugees.

I don't think either genre has to rule but I am sure they can co exist in this music world together - there is room for both.

KSH

i am 100% in agreement!
co-sign!

I seen this kid saigon on 137 street and amsterdam in harlem, i didnt know who dook was...and didnt care...i didnt know til i seen hiz man with a saigon tee shirt on, and then i knew he was a nobody....then his promo stree team van pulled up on the other side of the street with his ugly mug on it....then i really knew he was nothin.

anyway, this nigga team is all weak like monday through friday....i was grillin his body guard-cousin and they was lookin at me like: "he dont know who saigon is?"

put it to u like this: nigga is about 5 foot 5 inches tall and 160 pounds...im 6-2 and 204, he was wit like 3 clownz...one about 6-2 and fat, the other was 5-9 lite skin with dreds, and some other 5-10 wanna be body builder...they looked pet in harlem...especially when they seen me, i was blued out but i dont be crippin...but i know thats what they thought.

im not on that violence, but now that i know he is a upcoming rapper with some character, i wish saigon and his crew all the best...

1 thug 2 another

i turn on b.e.t few days to watch hip hop videos to only se some greszy wack commical south rapper doing some slave dance while like 20 ugly hood rat looking chicks were danceing in the background,while he try to rap,it seems aparent that they only want to make rappers look bad by signing wack artist so people can laugh and say ha ha thats hip hop? but when some smart rappers rap like nas or wu tang they dont play it, it seems they want to make fun of hip hop. and dont even say hardcore hip hop doesnt sell look at dr dres chronic album it sold over 5xplatium,, nas it was written sold 3x platium,,wu tang second album sold 3x platium, it seems people get jelous of the rappers with real skillz so they play the wack shht.

Lol @ this clown 1THUG. I feel u KSH.

A lot of people need to do what Saigon is doin and stop being House Niggas. A yo thats the new term for the new year to come when a nigga sells him self out he will be considered a House Nigga

@KSH

Stay dropping that good on em...

...whuddup cyberfolk, D Crook checkin in. I hope Nas does big things and Saigon too. We need their music for when we ain't wantin to boogie. Sometimes (more often then not) I want to reflect on what's goin on and what's good and what's no good and that conscious music helps me do that. i ain't a club hopper, I might bang shit in the car on the way to work. And that entertainment shit is cool and is a part of the puzzle but at the end of the day I gotta have that substance. Shit is real for the majority of us, no bling, no $1000 liquor bottles, no maybach so sometimes I feel compelled to turn that entertainment shit off cause it reminds me of shit I ain't got. I'm feelin like myself and folk like me are being phased out the game. That's why sometimes I wanna hear some building and science and I gotta look to Nas and Saigon and other brothers like them to kick that shit that my soul feels. But to re-iterate (word to Webster's) sometimes I want to relax and chill to some club music. Some enterprising emcee should find a way to realistically entertwine (I'm on fire) the two. Fuck it, maybe I'll do it...

Please stop dissing the boy NAS. Hes on all of your favorite rappers top 5 list.....ALL of them. Any rapper thats doing it now had someone come b4 him. Who's the best emcees Biggie, jay-z and nas? Jay said it himself. Which is why he works with him,

@Ciceroe
You know I have to lay down the law daily...LOL!

I mean the South is an easy target for people to blame - but the East Coast got rec execs that pull too - so I mean what are they doing to get poetic hip hoppers on the radio and on the tv and in the mainstream media. Everybody might not like the South but you def know what is going on down there. Somebody gotta come and enlighten me on what is going on in NYC, Chi-town, Philly...somebody got some pull somewhere - so what's up wit that?

And I must say that there have been plenty of substance rappers that have taken the time out to make a fun joint; talking about the money they made the money they spend on clothes and Cristal - Kanye is my man and he got some substance under his belt but he is known to let you know about his Loius Vutton obsession. And Jay on Big Pimpin was quick to let you in on yhe lifestyle of the rich and famous - so they don't make substance all the time but it is their main grind and one day somebody gotta stand up and bring in some lyrical power - who got the power for real? Is it Def Jam? Aftermath? So So Def? Bad Boi? - somebody tell me.

YO, UR WACK... NO DIS TO SAIGON, BUT FUCK THIS THREAD. MEF'S ALBUM IZ OUT 2MORROW, OH, OH - LET ME GUESS HE'LL BE ON SOHH WHEN HE SELLS 150K COPIES W/O A VIDEO/SINGLE RIGHT? UUUUUUU FUCKIN HYPOCRITES!

Anything related to Wu-Tang is almost a must buy - no video - no single - Def Jam gotta get on the grind - you can't keep complaining about the state of hip hop when you are not doing anything to make it better...corporate america will listen but you gotta open your mouth...

the white man says; hey blacky come here were gonna take you out of the chains and were gonna name you bun b and and were gonna put god teeth in your mouth and your gonna rap the rhymes we give you. bun b says; but master i wanna rap on my own and be smart. the white man says; no! you eaither do what your told or be for ever in those chains. bun b says; well ok master. the white man: smiles. the white man says; now tell the rest of your freinds to do the same were gonna name them lil jhon and pimp c.bun b says ok master.

*philly standup!*

as a rep for philly im letting ya know!
we got that shit!
we got what people wanna hear (im working now!).
but yall might be on to something...
i remember a speak by farrakhan, he said that white people hate that there kids listen to hip hop!
and that they are working to stop them from listening to it!
maybe the current state of hip hop is the result of this...

BOUT DAMN TIME, RECKLESS....
I KNOW YOU FINALLY BROKE DOWN AND GRANTED MY REQUEST TO DO SOMETHIN ON SAIGON....U COULD'VE GONE MORE IN DEPTH, BUT THATS COOL FOR NOW...YOU GAVE "THA RAHJAHZ" A DAMN 3 PAGE INTERVIEW BUT MY NIGGA SAIGON GETS A BLURB, WACK-ASS JOURNALISM, BUT YOU'RE IMPROVING....

THA KING HAS SPOKEN!

I really don't wanna say...I'll acknowledge the Nas haters on the board...won't make you famous by naming you. Peace to the usuals...just passing threw.

My oppinion Siagon, he's good...he's got the drive, the message, and the delivery...but no machine to pump it out. I guess you know what that means....

Nas...I'm from Queens...so I have to give my thumbs up!!! That's Platinum plus. Niggas is really checking for something new. For all the Nas Hating out there, I know hardcore crunk niggas, hyphie niggas, tippin niggas...and at the end of the night [fuck the day] niggas don't wanna listen to that shit. 3 o'clock in the morning on the way home from the club...and you still want to get crunk?!? I guess that's how it is at 16...I'm 8 years removed from that mind set, and I've tree'd away any memory...of my thought patterns of then...I can say that even then I knew if a nigga slept with my baby mama, I would work for him...especially if I had another woman tattood on my arm...fucking retards. Niggas is like post it notes...reminding celebs about what THEY did in THEIR past. Nigga get a life...who's sleeping with your wifey?? Your first love?? Your MOMZ?!?

C'mon, let's not generate the hate...nor a north south thing...why...if they do flop...still will have more street cred than say a Paul Waul, the peoples redneck, or TI king of the suburbs.

Yeah, like it used 2 be back in the day, but the U know who's don't want that, they ceen how B&B-Beef & Bullshit-is magnetic and that it sells. Nowadays, we're taught 2 glorify and reward ignorance, and turn our backs on positivity and intellibence.

I meant "intelligence" excuse me 4 that Buckwheat moment.

back in 2001; diddy says; yo jigga come here yo im tired of all these good hardcore rappers such as wu tang ,nas takeing over the streets . jigga says; me to hey lets get our money together and pay video and radio channels not to play it cause you no we cant rap like them i wouldent no whhat to say over those beats, diddy says; yea sounds like a plain ,matter fact dont let no one good get sign thats in the east cause they might take our shine and people will like them more than us. we will sign wack artist so they wont get to far.jigga says jeah thats what im talking about,man i just had to pay few radio stations not to play ether i cant belive nas killed me in that song, well since we cant rap hardcore and we wont make money off it were gonna pay radio stations not to play it.diddy says;yea come on come on. { now look at how rap is today}

I had to stop reading the rest of the posts just to respond to this. I'll shout out my people later.

Besides the inflammatory remarks my man "The Sun" dropped on you, I co-sign his thought process. I know you are a club banger but there is a large market for you. Us NYC bloggers are tired of hip hop for the clubs. You have to understand the frustration of a lot of us. I for one make enough money to be comfortable in life, I don't feel the need to whore myself out to a job I don't appreciate in order to move "forward". At some point in your life, capital can't be your only goal. There has to be some personal fortitude towards a higher goal.

AND SO WHAT IF i LIKE THE LAFFY TAFFY-YOU DONT LIKE LETTING LOOSE AND JUST ACTING A BIT SILLY OR ARE YOU SOME COCKSURE ARROGANT MAN WHO TAKES LIFE SERIOUSLY? iTS JUST MUSIC! wHY NAGGAS LIKE YOU , NAS AND TECH GOTTA HATE SO MUCH. AND SOME MISGUIDED YOUTH MAY WANNA BE GANGSTAS LIKE THE WAY 50 ACTS BUT THE MAJORITY KNOW ITS AN ACT AND JUST GET PLEASURE FROM IT-ITS LIKE WATCHING A MOVIE-YOU KNOW ITS FICTIONAL BUT WHILE YOU WATCH IT YOU GET INTO IT!

Posted by: whats up with nas? at August 28, 2006 07:30 AM

That's the problem with your entire thought process. Hip hop is not a movie. It's a movement, a lifestyle, a form of art. It has become a cultural phenomenon.

If you want a movie type appeal to your emcees then you need to carry your young ass over to Sohh Atlanta.

At some point, hip hop has to return to the center, brothers need to start buying instead of just checking for singles and quit that f'n downloading.

I respond to your post about whether or not Nas should sell out, which I fear is the point of your post with this:

"And I fear that what I'm saying won't be heard until I'm gone
But it's all good, Cause I didn't expect to live long
So if it takes for me to suffer for my brother to see the light
Give me pain till I die but please lord treat him right"

Maybe the sells won't be there, but it's not about that! Stop selling the fuck out, suffer thru a slow sells period, but make shit you can be proud of and that will get read and re-read over and over again.

Peace to the usuals, now let me catch up with my reading.

Meth comes out 2morrow and their ain't no Promo for him.
The Roots come out tommorow also and I'm surprised they got a lil love.
Def Jam is promoting the Roots so they can act like their down with the get down.
But I give QuestLove props for getting them off their asses.
The Rza need to be screaming on these dudes.
The Roots are gonna do well regardless if they go Plat or not.

I'm also gonna cop that new Roots joint 2!

Hell Yeah!!! Have you seen the video?
Check out concreteloop.com - it is on there - it is fiyah.

Hey EFrazier(smiling):

Good to see you in the building!

@Huey

I'll shuck witcha....no doubt....cooning and all...let's get it...I gotta get my lambo, MTV cribs-crib...all that...

@Huey...awe come on don't shuck and jive baby!...lol

But on the real that is true about awareness and how is use to be a story being told but I have come to the realization that Corp America is glad that no one is pushing the issue - no one is saying one word - nobody is saying that there is still poverty - there is still poor school systems - there is still racial profiling - there is still a very inadequater federal govt - but tell me how can we get the message out if our main focus is pimpin our rides, making our bands, having million dollar parties, and opeing club after club - I would like to see somebody open a school or an after school program for at risk youths - somebody better wake up real soon or we are dombed to keep repeating the same ass out mistakes.
We are to concerned with mimicking Kimora, Beyonce and Mariah - and Jay, 50 Cents and Diddy - money and wealth money and wealth - believe that!

Hi KSH(blushing)! seriously

I was watching VH1 Soul and they popped off a Roots marathon all weekend. I hadn't really been into them because I had become so disenchanted with anything that wasn't familiar. But, that brother Black Thought be spitting flames. I was feeling all of what I heard and I called up my mixtape guy and had him make me a best of Roots joint. I am copping the new album and I'm definitely getting Meth. He's made some wild shit lately but I'm buying it only because Def Jam doesn't seem to want me to.

@KSH

I'm feeling your statement about the fact that hip hop and hip pop used to co-exist peacefully back in the days. It's the truest statement I've heard today.

For every KRS there was a Doug E Fresh. For every Tribe there was a Kid N Play. Niggas picked a lane but remember, that was before the internet and Napster. Nowadays, niggas are force fed bullshit and you can't just blame the South.

The evolution of Southern hip hop started with Luther Campbell, 95 South and I forget those other college cats that used to make that "bass" music. It's the lane they've chosen and a lot of people used to check the south for some of those dances "we" used to do in the clubs. I don't blame the south for keeping it real in that sense.

What kills me is niggas coming on here saluting hip hop but not buying shit when it drops. We have access to the necessary info with or without airplay or promo to know when an album drops. Go get it and stop talking about it!

Peace to Huey Freeman, KSH, Xclusive, Ciceroe, Essex, and Anonymous

EFrazier:

You are so right; which is no surprise to me...(smiling)

But I remember those days too when you had a balance of real hip hop and the stuff that was for the kids - I use to sneak and listen to Tribe but I could bump Kid N Play in the house. Now there is good balance of hip hop but there is not a balance of promotion and PR machines - whose fault is that? And how do we make it better? I am buying all the CD's I can.

And yes ther Roots are a phenom. Black Thought is that dude.

Read this shit last night while attempting to sleep. This post is unbelievable and I knew it would make sense today:

Ya'll in the US only talks how much shit sales! And if it goes platinum, ya'll think it's a classic! Wtf!? Just listen to the music! Or have Hiphop-"fans" became some ex-Brittney-fans?? Fuck! I'm a white m-f, I've been listening to Hiphop since -91! I live in fucking Sweden take a good look @ the map, I have never ever cared less for how much a nice Hiphop-album's gonna sale! If it's a classic, ya'll feel it! It's gonna feel like you're being fucked in your ears! As far for "The Big Bang", it's one of the greatest album of -06!

Posted by: hydroflow at August 27, 2006 05:03 PM

WTF! Niggas need to read this and feel it. I didn't post it but I co-sign that hell out of it.

Posted by: Huey Freeman aka That Dude 4 President at August 28, 2006 10:31 AM

That shit sounds like the last 20 albums out of Houston. Where is Scarface when you need him?

There is NO such thing as a "Realist. Reality is perception. This means it is what you make YOU make something out to be. Thus it in itself is a figment of your imagination and does not qualify as REAL. Thank You...

*This comment was brought to you by the letters "F" and "U"

lets be honest the east has fallen off the cliff and has perished forever what a shame (sarcastically) looks like the souths gonna be runnin rap forever i mean look at busta callin his album the big bang and hes only just gone gold hahaha what a joke you new york cats are what pethetic excuses for rappers you are pay your respects to the superior south know bow your heads hahahahaha

So is Saigon talkin about Luda????

Nas??? (that internet single is the WHACKNESS)

Interesting stuff.

And he's on the same Label as Lupe???

Good luck wit that, Saigon.

Shoulda went independent talkin all that yap.

And Nas name droppin KRS-One???

Man, c'mon. Stop it. After listening to that single, that's a damn shame. Nas is gonna have niggaz bamboozled for real.

Nigga be rappin about designer leather pants.

So of yall are sounding real stupid

I can see from the time of the responses that yall ngz woke first thing this morning and had a big bowl of bullshit and a tall glass of haterade.
Nas this and Nas that
justifying crap wit Payola
Ngz seem to forget that being a artist is a profession, meaning the best at what you do. If your still making quality music it don't matter is he was out in the 80's or how old dude is.
yall sound real dumb. We ain't checkin for Busta dumb nga thats your loss. Every person that I know that bought that album loves it. But your rebelling cause of how old nga is.
I swear its like we got a generation of muthafka that don't wanna be challenged to think. I can respect anyone who says Nas ain't for me I ain't feeling his music. What pisses me off is you stupid muthafkas that diss an artist for sht that has nuthing to do with music. I saw Saigon he short and looks like sht.
nga are you fkin him! did he try to holla at you No what the fk does that have to do with his album. Oh Nas works for Jay-Z yeah I ain't feelin it neither but that don't have nuthing to do with his fkin music. Some of yall sound like gossipin bitches instead of music fans for real. Fk all the side sht talk about the musik. Stop hatin on these ngz money. Ex I don't care for game but his new single is hot. How I feel about him has nothing to do with his album. I don't know that nga so if this shts hot it's just music. Nas or Sai ain't do sht to you so if you ain't feeling him fine but what the fk does that have to do with their musik.
to early for this sht

What hood FAM
NGZ GOT MY Blood pressure Boiling
might have to roast a nga or 2 today
oh I saw Idlewild this weekend
it was really good, its different though but if you can open your mind its hot.

Posted by: willyjsimmons at August 28, 2006 10:42 AM

Peace to you willyjsimmons.

That single is nice by Nas. I think Nas is qualified to name drop KRS-1. Now when Game does it, he hasn't made it that far yet. Nas cd is going to be nice. I'm getting it because I like all his work.

Posted by: Atlanta at August 28, 2006 10:41 AM

Yea, right! Take that North vs South back to the other blogs.

DUDE WAS TELLIN THA TRUTH IN A WAY,

IF YOU WANT TO TALK TO THE YOUNG GENERATION YOU HAVE TO VIBE WITH THEM AND THEN U CAN TALK AND THEY WILL LISTEN.

IF YOU WANT TO TALK TO YO LIL GIRL ABOUT NIGGAZ AND SEX, YOU DONT START POPIN OFF ABOUT WHAT SHE IS GOIN DO, "YOU AINT GOIN HAVE SEX UNTIL YOUR 21", NO YOU GOTTA VIBE WITH HER AND GET HER TO LIKE YOU AND HAVE HER LISTEN.

SO INSTEAD OF YALL NIGGAZ TALKIN "YALL MUSIC SUC AND SHIT, AND ESPECT US TO BE LIKE "ALRIGHT YOU RIGHT SO NOW LETS LISTEN TO WHAT YALL GOT," THATS JUST STUPID IT DONT WORK LIKE DAT.

LOOK AT KANYE. HE SAID THE ONLY REASON WHY HE WOULD THROW A CURSE WORD INTO A RAP IS TO GRAB THE YOUNGS ATTENTION FOR SOME PUNCH LINE HE IS ABOUT TO SAY SO THE WOULD LISTEN AND HE WOULD GET HIS POINT ACROSS.

TEXAS BABY!
REAL TALK!
SPEAK ON IT!

Posted by: Banga! at August 28, 2006 10:49 AM

Up early with the fire. I co-sign!

Like I said before, who gives a fuck if Jay fucked Nas baby momma. Nas probably cut her loose because she was trifling. I'm sure Jay isn't the only nigga that ran up in her. Who cares if Saigon is short, my Dad is short. I'm 5'6 but the niggas on my team respect me.

If you don't like what you hear that's one thing that's why I have no beef with willyjsimmons thoughts. He listened, he didn't like it and he stated it. All that other peripheral commentary is childish.

will you all shut up about nas his last album went platinum but it was a double disc so it really went gold what a joke hes fallen off like most of the other new york cats and you need to let go of the golden oldies hip hop is for the youth so if your not between 13-33 at the most which is pushing it then you shouldnt be on this blog or listening to hip hop or you must be stuck in neverland anyway the south is dominating hip hop deal with it you new york sissies

Nas' single has a dope beat, nice delivery....

but the content, is straight GARBAGE.

Search the net, and read the lyrics.

Dude is talkin about HIPHOP is 'dead', and he's part of the reason why, IMO.

Stale content.

Not only stale, but content that doesn't even make sense.

He's rappin about luxury cars and designer clothes, and the hook is 'Where my Gangtas at'?????

He must have went to the 5-0 school of songwriting for that mess.

Makes no sense.

Peace to the Real

I am convinced that this growing crowd of Fuck Nas kids is a bunch of undercover G-Unit stans…not fans but stans.

Moving forward…

I call this era of Rap music microwave music. I say microwave music because it all about mimic a sound that appeals to the buying public. Let face it most of us are not in the demographics that are considered to be the buying rap public. These corporate executives have marketing experts that help them develop strategic marketing plans that will capture the buying public’s interest. Artist development is no more. Now the idea is to create the Artist image and the desired sound and keep duplicating the desired sound of the buying public and collect the revenue and once they have wrung out the last possible dime out of the microwave music sound of the moment; dispose of the artist and bring in a new one and take them through the very same cycle I just described.

In fact; these contracts remind me of football contracts. I believe that these executive sign these artists to 4 or 5 album deal knowing that the probability is high that their marketing curve will peak at 3 albums and from that point on they will descend into mediocrity and subsequently irrelevancy with the buying public. Further; the artist must honor the contract but the corporation does not.

The Rdaio (using this metaphor) is the Microwave oven. So the mindset is; let us heat this shit up to the unsuspecting buying public and get wealthy. We will cut cost in the process because we are not interested going to develop the artist for a career we are developing him for a series of hits over a short period of time thus our philosophy is to make money 1 CD at a time. The radio stations are in cahoots in this because they are profiting from this practice. So yeah; since I am not white or 16 years old or live in Suffolk County Long Island, New York therefore I have but 2 turned the radio off.

Posted by: Atlanta at August 28, 2006 10:59 AM

These will be our last words together:

This isn't the North vs. South blog. I'm not from NYC, I'm from Chicago. I could care less about whether an album goes gold or platinum. If it's good I want it. You see, the problem is you kids come in here to Sohh NYC, make a few posts, try to start some shit, leave and go back over to Sohh Atlanta and talk about how you stirred up Sohh NYC.

That shit reminds of the days when I was doing customer service for SBC. At least once per day, some lonely, bitter, young black lady(we could see the birth dates) would call in to complain about her bill. She would cuss, scream and threaten to cancel if we didn't credit her charges. We would calmly acknowledge her anger, point out the reason her bill was so high, and wait for some more heat. Bear in mind the bill was usually high because she received too many collect calls from Junebug in jail or her trifling kids running up 3 way calls and *69 activations. After we recommend the necessary solutions she still refuses because in the end, she only called to cuss and scream because her kids aren't listening. At the end of the call while she is hanging up, in the background you hear her lean over to her girlfriend next to her and say, "girl I cussed his ass out". Mind you I never credited the account but she just wanted to say "girl I cussed his ass out".

Bitch move, just like this attempt to start up that North vs. South shit. Get the fuck out of here.

Lets be real Nas is a hand down legend......Regardless of whut the songs he make help muthafuckas, just like Saigon.. Ain't nuttin wrong with other concepts but right now I think we need some food for thought......Myspace.com/bottlesbaby

@Huey
You know I got mad luv for Jay and he ain't the blame but Jay got big shoes and if can stomp out Meth then he can pump out something worth listening too. When get that EXEC behind yo name you ain't just following orders - and Jay don't seem to be that nicca that will just ride with anything - but who knows? Not me.

Correction

since I am not white or 16 years old or live in Suffolk County Long Island, New York therefore I have no choice but 2 turned the radio off.

Peace to my man Bigup2BK, co-sign your post and feel that football analogy. Them owners can get you signed quick and cut your ass quicker.

@KSH

Hov is a figurehead put in place to bring a larger, hip hop audience back to Def Jam. The problem is, he seems too content to sit on his cash. I for one have hopes for him once the label fails in some of their attempts to go r&b. He's smart enough to be patient. I hope I'm right.

How many of ya'll gonna go out tommorow and get that new album from the Roots.
It's gonna be the dopest shit of the year.

I hope you are right EFrazier but I am not that optimistic - Hov is jocking his glr right now he don't have time to toot his hip hop whistle. But I ain't mad at him but I am sick of him talking about B album drop and her b-day party at his club - what about Method Man nicca?

Dare I say my man Jay sold his hip hop whistle for the crown and glory of being boyfriend to a Pop star? Not sure but is sure sounds like it!

Hey BigUp:
Lovely to hear your take on things!

@KSH

You know you can't say nothin bad about HOVITO over here.

Or Nas apparently.

@Atlanta

Why is it will every one of you down south cats feel everything someone fking says about hip-hop is a fking diss to the god damn south.
I don't care who's hot! We care about quality fkin music
this ain't north vs south stop being fkin defensive. The blog is about Sai and Nas not about dissin the fkin south. Fkin annoy
all yall think the fkin same
oH their sayin hip-hop is dead there dissin us boo ho
ohh they can't wait for Nas that must mean they ain't feeling the south cause we're constantly on the radio right now.
Negro I probably own more down south music than you. I don't know anyone that doesn't own Lil Waynes last album, T.I. 's last 2 and Jeezy and doesn't own at least 2 Outkast Albums.
You down south clowns are fkin annoying!
Yeah we listen to music differently up north so fkin what!
Ngz ain't madd about the south being hot
we have to commercial crap thats gets play'd thats comin out of there.
We buy the quality artist and wish more artist from the south were as good a Luda, TI Jeezy Outkast Ceelo etc
I own them all. Stop being defensive
Wanting real music real hip-hop is not a diss at the fkin south because yall are hot right now. We want more balance
more diversity. Get paid cool but not everyone likes substanceless music
If its hot Ima buying it. But I'm not feeling "RAP" music about My Chain swinging, my shoulder leaning(even though my 2 yr old son loves it),snappin and posin, rocking VANS, Laffy taffy thats commercial music
kids love it but we prefer something else
we want Nas and Sai and Busta
that not a diss at the South.
I can't speak for everyone but stop jumpin on blogs hatin on an entire city or region cause of a few knuckle Headz that get on your blogs hatin on your region.

E Frai...Wht's goood, Family...

Yeah it really is like football. This is why you always heaing these cats talking about they want out because just like the NY Giants they can tell a nigga 2 pack his shit 2 day but the player can say I quit and the contatc became voided...I mean they can retire and do it but about it....

To the kid Essex; Yeah, I will copp that joint along with Meth...I love real Hip Hop...no doubt.

goin of subject ernest frazier i agree with you on the size thing although it dont apply to me cause im 5'11 but some of the most dangerous toughest dudes ever were small pablo escobar was 5'5 and most of the biggest gangsters in history which are mainly italian were generally small in size but that shit dont matter its 95% mentality thats what my dad says and hes 5'7 which is quite small and he also says hed rather be small and good looking than tall and ugly hahahaha

Hey BigUp:
Lovely to hear your take on things!

Posted by: KSH at August 28, 2006 11:21 AM

KSH; thanks for the love...but U say that 2 all the guys...lol.

How are you doing today and how was your weekend.

That dude Willysimmons is stupid.
Obviously you don't listen to Rap.

Nas ain't name dropping KRS you idiot. It's an autobiography you fuckhead.

He did one for Rakim on the last album. It's a great concept that should be franchised on a lot a Nas albums to come.
The Game namedrops, Nas teaches. get your shit straight.

It is kind of ironic how Nas talks about hip hop is dead and he is promoting what hip hop is about now, LOL. Is he trying to be funny. I haven't heard the song, but willyj is not the first one I heard say that. Nas is still okay with me though.

KSH, I think you are right about Jay. I mean I see him in some of these pop magazines more than I see Lindsay Lohan. Now I am hearing that Jay is getting ready to resign as the president(allhiphop) and make more cds and tour, go figure.

I am so sick of these mothafuckaz. Know offense because I like Jay and Nas, but the bottomline is this youth is rebelious and if they try to force their music on them the kids will not respond and it will be all for not. I know yall say that sales don't matter, but if Method Man or Redman don't sale what do you think is going to happen to them their asses, they getting dropped, Let's be real. Def Jam is a fuckin mess and I can't wait for this sad Jay era to end so we can see who is really at fault.

WillyJ:

I didn't see anything you said Bad about Nas...just speaking for myself...I saw some earlier posts which sounds like the same 2 guys who have been on a fuck Nas campaign...

I thinks 2 cats are G-Unit stans and anyone "All Might King 50" has a beef with they attack....

Just FYI

That's was up Bigup2BK
Real heads will go cop those.

Other niggas be waiting for young Dro. ha ha.
Talib's New video is Killing em
His New album looks like it will be fiyah.

Yea im loving that saigon track...but yea iv been seen the playlist for this album...a couple new songs tho..but yea that forgot to mention one thing....the track with jay-z and him Polo and Guess....they dident put that feature on there why do you think jay-z is coming out of retirement
because his favorite rapper is coming back out... talk of new york is old

@BigUp:

I guess I am friendly like that...lol

But I always look forward to your input (Yoga this morning - LMAO)

And my weekend was packed with fun and intersting events. Sat - Ildewild - Sunday - church and MJB last night - good weekend.

I saw you and EFrazier holding it down with the kiddies over the weekend. I was reading and laughing hysterically.

@willyj
You know yo grl don't hold nothing back...I call em like I see em even when I love em.

@Banga!
I feel yo pain and I don't think you guys diss the South b/c if you did I could not come on here every day but I have my qualms with all the genres of music and where they are headed...and believe me the South is only a small portion of my dismay - one thing about the South they do what they do but they ain't claiming it is hip hop - in VIBE JD said hip hop was evolving but I think that is so wrong - hip hop is the same he just evolved when his bank account did and I ain't mad...but snap ain't hip hop -- that is why it is called snap and crunk - getty up and ride or just wait on the Barbaro of hip hop to come through - that's all. Just b/c hip hop ain't hot don't mean it ain't relevant! So keep buying it and listening.

Meth and The Roots pick that ish up 2morrow!

Essex:

No doubt I ma on it' kid. It's very rare HIP HOP is produced so every chance I get I copp the real...no doubt.

Dare I say my man Jay sold his hip hop whistle for the crown and glory of being boyfriend to a Pop star? Not sure but is sure sounds like it!

@willyj

Man, you know your opinion is appreciated. Nas new shit is good to me. No hate intended, I just don't share your opinion. I'm down to agree to disagree with anyone.

@Banga

Get em! I have some south mixtapes and I love some of the shit I've heard. I even heard Young Joc spitting on a track. Right now, one of my top joints next to #12 on the Big Bang is Trick Daddy and BIG "Duck Down".

@Bigup and Essex

I have to get that Roots after watching that video this weekend.

Posted by: Atlanta at August 28, 2006 11:25 AM

lol about your pop's comment.

Still, you popped that north vs south shit and that wasn't a good look.

Posted by: Essex at August 28, 2006 11:32 AM

I am picking up Young Dro too - believe that. There is room in my 25 disc cd player for a lil eerrrthing!

Yeah KSH; I had a Stan-pede over the weekends.

By the way shout out to all my stans.

I am truly honored by all you bitch ass niggas stopping by and paying homage to the Godson. I mean it couldn’t have been easy for yall to invest the time …U know…l given yall ambitious weekend schedule of sucking dicks and getting plugged in the ass. Now U homos have a safe drive to your bath houses.

@J-MONEY

CO-SIGN

partially Co-sign on your Red & Meth Point
as much as I like these 2 they've lost alot of their Star power.
so I feel you from a business stand point. But I also feel their core audience is loyal. Niether one of them has ever mad a bad album for that fact alone yeah their not going platnium but if their promoted right, they will turn a profit or cut em and let sign somewhere else so you don't cheat their fans. People get cut all the time why hold them hostage if you think they can't sell?
Let em sign to Koch they got fans and they families to feed.
Thats my issue. I applaud Saigo though
if more people go that route we might finally get these radio stations to diversify their playlist.

(Just got back from a ticket)

Whaddup E.Frazier, Bigup2BK, Xclusive, Huey Freeman, and all the cats that keep this blog poppin.

Go cop that new Roots tomorrow...or I'll find you and punch your fronts out. Real talk, that is EASILY the best album I've heard so hard this year. I've been bumpin the advance copy for like a month now...I'm telling YALL do NOT miss out on it.

damn yall southern clowns even shittin on nas

i cant even find the energy to argue with ignorance no more...fuck it

all i gotta say is dummies love beats.....intellect love lyrics

I LIKE A FEW SOUTHERN GROUPS BUT THE REST SUCK DICK TO ME. SOUTH RAP OVERALL IS NOT QUALITY IN MY OPINION. THE EAST COAST NEEDS TO BE BACK IN THE FORE FRONT. BRING SKILLZ BACK REGARDLESS OF WHERE U REP. NEW YORK NIGGAH FO 4LIFE.

HUNIT

record sales will never make the emcee!!! fuck the radio

@KSH

I had to run some fools out of here. It's amazing to have stans. I never sought them out but now I can't get rid of them. The one that really aggravated me was the young girl from Chicago. Everyone else paid the price for her fakeness.

First off, Essex:

I listen to enough HIPHOP to know you suck. Myspace rapper.(the irony will be lost on you I'm sure)

DAS EFX called, niggaz want their look back. Nigga this ain't 1992.

Your shit is outdated like powdered milk.

Secondly (on to the substance)

So Nas had a 'tribute' to Rakim last time out.

Now it's KRS???

Yeah, no name droppin goin on. NAW.

Nas is tryin to subliminally attach himself to legends by proxy.

'Nas teaches.'....us about Evisu leather pants?????

No wonder the youths is fucked up.

Don't take this shit personal.

It's just opinions after all.

Fuck what ya heard but If Jay wasn't at Def Jam it would be worse than it is now. If Jay leaves everyone is leaving beleive that.
Who's gonna run the day 2 day if Jay don't? some old white guy that's who.

I'm not defending him I'm just stating the facts.

On another note
Did Beanie Seigel really diss Jay?

Since the real hip hop heads is on hear, do me a solid.
Check out my Page and tell me what you think of my single.

Your opinion means alot to me.

oh and by the way for all you young children i may be 46 with grey hair and 8 kids from 3 women but i know my shit okay

'And if you Dissin niggas with locks you done dissed half the bloggers on here.'

Didn't diss locks, I dissed you.

'And you can't hate on my music son. It's too hip hop for you.'

The guppies are in the tank early. Maybe I should drop some oscars in there to eat their asses up. No, not yet. I'm trying to enjoy my orange juice and toast quietly.

BigUP your too old to be on this site i didnt know they let you on computers in a nursing home

@ KSH + EF

I feel you
both North and south Cross the line
I totally understand that Snap & Crunk and all that aren't hip-hop but some of them don't. Thats why JD is talking about Hip-Hop evolving and referring to Snap and Pop. We don't do a good enough job breaking down each type of rap music. So Alot of these south artist take it real personal when we say
they ain't hip-hop. Most of the Music coming out of the south is Rap
some of its gangsta rap, so if its commerical rap and some of it is straight POP music. Nas is saying hip-hop is dead because there's very few people makin hip-hop music and of those few they're not gettin air play or being forced to compromise their artistic creativity by Record companies for sales. Alot of people think Meth and Red, Nas and the mid 90's artist are old and play'd out. Good music is good music and we're being blinded by commericial rap and sales. South is hot right now I'm not saying don't have fun don't get paid. I'm not calling em sellouts thats wrong. I want more balance I was more art! Hip hop is Art!
So when these down south cats say fk Nas, FK Mos Def fk Talib fk whoever ain't selling thats not from the south.
Yall are dissin Art. Your saying we don't have the patience to appreciate Art. Hip hop is a painting Rap is like a Poster, I like em both but its easier to sell a poster than a painting. But a Painting has more value and quality.
Eventually that poster is coming of the wall but the painting last forever
I want more hip hop music cause 2yrs from now I'm not gonna listen to: Snap yo fingas do your step you can do it all by yo self.
And Headz from the North need to remember
Rap and Commerical rap is the father of Hip-hop. So dissin everything the south Puts out azzbackwards. these are 2 forms of music that are supposed to be feeding each other not squeezing each other out.

What up Usuals, whats crack-a-lackin

My only opinion for the day is that METH should have gotten some room in ya topic RECKLESS, other than that, I could give a fuck who aint feelin NAS.

I could give a fuck less about who's going platinum in the next few months, have yall seen da lineup?

Meth tomorrow, so are the Roots, Nas in November, we got Red and Joey coming up, Saigon is in there somewhere, IM JUST GLAD I WILL FINALLY, CONSTANTLY HAVE GOOD MUSIC TO SUPPORT, fuck a platinum stat in this day in age, IM FINALLY GETTIN GOOD MUSIC AGAIN!

Now this is the part of posting that I hate. I can smell da stans thinkin up bullshit, like but you a Jay fan, all he is is plat, and dis and dat.

Da quick of it is this, Play your position. A forward does this, a guard does that, a scorer goes here, a defender goes there.

Nas is nas, you know what to expect from him. As is Meth, Roots, Joe, Red, Saigon, and Jay-Z.

These are great rappers because they individually creative, and I am a fan of their final product. If I only appreciated one type of rap, or if these rappers only formulated themselves to produce only a specific type of rap, I would be stuck in the same ignorant mindstate as these DFB, D4L, Joc, etc fans.

Busta dropped one of the baddest albums of the year, just went gold, so fuck a status unless thats your position.

Nevermind that Myspace is owned by Rupert Murdoch, employer of Bill O'Reilly, hater #1 of HIPHOP music.

Keep it up.

not gone yet, lol

Hey, my weekend was great, I was in a friends wedding, and after everything was over Obie Trice took everyone out and we had a ball....

How was yours????

I see you keep the fans busy, lol

Posted by: slimgoody at August 28, 2006 12:03 PM

WORD????

Obie Trice...Now that is a good look. I love weddings because the women who attend them are always fine although wegding food normally sucks...lol...

But it looks like you had a good weekend...

My weekend had some really nice highs and but sort ended a low...But it's all good because that's what makes the Godson "Ford tough"

Oh and Yeah this kid reckless need 2 cut a check for me given all the Bitch Ass Niggas who sign on just for me to say hi 2 their gay asses...lol

I find it very comical now...E Frai welcome to the club, son....

So Slim who R you kicking it with next weekend... Jay, Z or Nas..How....No, I know who...TI...right????....lol.

I cant believe its still people out there who still dont respect Nas as one of the greatest (in my opinion the G.O.A.T). But if you dont feel like I feel just take your favorite rappers top 20 songs and lay em out verse for verse with NAS top 20 and see what you get. You people making these comments must be in high school or close to it. And if you are then I understand because you dont know what substance is. And I'm from the south, Miami to be exact, the bottom of the map.

Rap and Commerical rap is the father of Hip-hop. So dissin everything the south Puts out azzbackwards. these are 2 forms of music that are supposed to be feeding each other not squeezing each other out.

Peace to my man BlazeMcHerbs and Banga

Kids read these two posts and feel em. I don't hate on the South, my kids like it. I'm just too old to be leaning and rocking and snapping. I used to go to clubs in my mid 20's and watch niggas when I lived in Florida doing that shoulder roll dance. When they noticed that someone was looking at them, they usually stopped out of embarrassment. My lane is hip hop, I stay in it.

yeah but you can't diss the whole region
thats why there's beef now

@ATLANTA

You niccaz need to stop posting shit.yall opinion do not count.yall niccaz from Atlanta are ruining the south with that Bullshit.If it wasnt for us yall would still be doing so so def bass allstars , shawty swing my way bullshit.Im sick of young joc, dfl,dfb,and this new niccaz unK.yall need to go back to the dungeon days.Yall got every region lauging at us thinking that's all South music.If this problem persists , we will kick yall out the south.

E. Fraizer...the best thing to do is ignore them. They don't understand that 2 attempt 2 dickride another nigga is gay....so today I will let them post their shit and just ignore them...if U really want 2 piss them off just talk 2 a female...That shit really pisses them off...LMAOOOOO

Anyway fuck them....just don't give them the importance they seek by having any kind of assocaition with you....

They will all be school next week...

Think about it....I shouted out all Bitch ass niggas and homos....and they all signed on...what more do you need to know...that is why I am sitting back laughing at their dumb asses....

On a side note, did anyone read the Flavor of Love, review by Ron Mexico. That shit had me crying.

lol, u definitely make my day go by quicker...

you sound like my brother, he only came to see what women were gonna be there...and actually the food wasnt bad and they had the red koolaide, so it was on point:-)

my weekend ended on a sort of low too, i was too tired to take care of any business...but anyway you know I rides with T.I. over anyone so nuff said on that, lol...

im still laughing @ reckless need'n to cut u a check, lol...i was gonna say what u gonna do when the fools go back to school, but they probably old ass drop outs anyway...keep putn them in their place, just maybe they'll give up one day

all you old people shouldnt listen to hip hop anybody over 27 listen to some jazz or blues this is for the youth you cant hold on to your youth forever mother nature creeps up on all of us im afraid (shaking my head at the thought of all the old people listening to hip hop)

Posted by: BigUP2BK at August 28, 2006 12:19 PM

I think their out here but too scared to post their real names. Shit, I had one fool in the dictionary looking for big words in order to sound intelligent. I even had his ass doing spell checks and grammar reviews. I love it.

I didn't see the review But I can't watch that show, anyway...

It kills me to see Flav acting like a Buffoon...real talk.

Probably needs to be pointed out that I didn't say Nas wasn't a good emcee.

I said his content sucks, in the context of his album title.

Can't really deny that.

'Far through Evisu jeans, lethal green
Oliver peoples shades when I creep through Queens'

C'mon??

Where you been, out with your uncle making mad cheese?

@ Slim:

Yeah, weddings are the place to see fine women...lol. It good yall had good food...every time I go to a wedding they come out with that same fuckin stuff chicken shit...U know that shit that has Rice Pilaf in the middle...

As for the stans; they really get madd when I say hi to a pretty women like yourself. I guess it must be frustrating to be a male and to never have had any pussy at all...

Well at least these niggas broke their Homosexual virginity years ago...I guess having sex with a woman is waaaaaaay 2 much to ask of them...lol.

I am sorry that our weekends both ended on a low but U know he we do.... we will back on top in no time..in fact we are already there...no doubt.

What it all comes down to is that the industry sets the standard these days. The white executives at the labels push what they want out to radio and the stores. Simplicity sells and ignorance is bliss. They are the top of the food chain. If a nigga is getting money, the white man on top is getting a whole lot more. These coons in these videos with rented cars and fake guns don't scare white america. The nigga that puts out records that want to uplift black people and talk about the reality of ghetto struggle scare white people. And thats why they get shut down.

@Huey Freeman

I blame WGCI for that shit. They ran all the competition for the younger audience from the radio. 92.3 tries to clown and we had 106 with Spank back in the mid 90's. Not anymore. All people here in Chicago want to do it seems is, work 9-5(nothing wrong with that but follow my thread), get off and hang at the whole in the wall from 5-7, get paid on Friday, get dressed and hit the night club. If it isn't older house or step music it isn't playing here. We used to have hip hop spots but too many young kids hang there and it isn't for the music. It's for hoes, gang banging and drinking. No ones listening.

@ Huey

haha
I like Weezy too
but Inspectah Deck would crucify him
some people like to hear themselves talk so let em
he's just biggin up who he's feelin
he's not a music lover. He clearly doesn't listen to anything other than whose hot right now
Waynes hot definitely steppin waay up
but from what I've heard flow wise Bus would kill him
he raps the same flow on every song
hell get better but he ain't fkin with Busta lyrically
Busta has a song with Em called I hurt you or Physco wit Cassidy and Papoose
let em listen to that and it will end the convo right there!

I'll give it up to Wayne for finally spittin some 'real talk' on that Hollywood Divorce.

If that shit wasn't written by somebody else, that is.

Ha ha! Death to ghostwriters.

@BANGA!

I feel exactly what u sayin and im from texas.

but since your not from there u cant really make statments such as...

we do have hip hop artist. or we call em spiritual rappers.

have you ever listened to z-ro?

check this out and im real on this cuz im not no dumb ass nigga.
i dont really listen to new york niggaz cuz im from texas and i cant hear what they got cuz im way down here so im going to give u the chance. if u can pick just one rapper i can listen too that u would want me to hear out i promise u i would co cop it within the next week and listen to it and get back wit u and tell u what i think. now all i ask is that u do tha same.

im givin you my word.

deal?

b/c i know for a fact that tha way u talk this would give u a whole new perspective about us not having artist.
cuz its kind of like i said b4 lack of promotion u wouldnt know about them all u no is snap and lean but thats not it cuz from new york all i know is diddy and 50 cuz thats who they promote.

so pick one and i promise?
and ill pick one for u.
and this is also 4 anyone else who is readin
cuz together we can propmote real shit.

^^^^
Wow 504, about the same time that So So Def Bass All stars was out what was yall playin in New Orlans? Dont front my boy, dont act like yall wasnt bumpin DJ Jimmy and them back in like 94, 95, 96. Stop fronting playboi. DJ Jimmy and the New Orleans bounce shit was worse than all that snap music put together. Dont hate on us, cuz we got hella love for the NO. Shit Lil Wayne get more play up here than TI almost. Dont try and side with them NY niggas cuz you know snap aint all we got to offer. We just got the game in such a choke hold right now that yall see the bad and the good. Nigga we got shit on lock from R&B to gutta rap. Snap just fall in between somewhere.

@Huey

Remember when the Prophouse used to feature a couple of pure hip hop nights?
I used to rush up there about midnight because usually the kids with curfews would be headed home. It used to be pure hip hop and it was always a lot of motherfuckers just standing around. The floor would have a bunch of niggas out there jumping around. The DJ started playing that house music and people would pack the floor. At least they used to switch it off though. Now, step music has replaced the hip hop switch. Depressing. That's why Common and Kanye left here to make it up North.

Common is the Complete Truth....

@ DIS

Cool
but I not sure about your interpetation of what I said based on this comment

we do have hip hop artist. or we call em spiritual rappers.

I know yall have hiphop artist
I love alot of down south artist
I just don't care for the commercial ones that we constantly get bombarded with on the radio. Trust I see yall get into it with each other cause not all yall feel that D4L snap musik and the gimmicks.

I'm down
Go Cop Joe Buddens last Album
alot a people think he's similar to
Jay-Z he's not only thing they have in common is flow

whut you got for me

im from down south.

i dont like snap - i just like how it make them hoes move better in the strip club. i hate that outside peanut butter shit.

but im not hatin that they gettin radio play. all u niggas who hatin, buy a cd, or get satelite radio. and u new yorkers, should try to shut down bet and 106 and park, cuz they promotin the shit.

yall complainin to the fans aint gone help. yall need to walk yall ass to 106th street and park ave, and shut them down. or boycott bet. other than hat stop whining to fans, cuz its makin yall look like hoes.

Yeah Common is the truth. But, he knew that hip hop and Chicago was a bad look back in the day. You had a lot of cats that loved it but enough that didn't. I used to get heated when niggas would diss hip hop like it wasn't shit compared to house music rappers like Fast Eddie. Now, I just cop their shit, stay away from beef and keep it moving.

lol...lmao

i herd joe buddens was tha shit just never copped tha shit and i also herd that blac rob was doin it but aiight coo.

lmao... you better be ready once u go pick this shit up b/c oho my god this is a down souf classic.

@ 504
So please dont front, these NY niggas dont know what yall was playin, but you forget that up here in ATL we see and hear what goes down in the NO. I know about all that "where dey at hoe" shit yall used to play. How can you say snap is bullshit when yall made Bounce? D4L, DFB, and the others from up here are in the same boat with DJ Jimmy, Katey Red and all that other New Orleans bullshit. Dont make me expose yall NO niggas, about how yall was bumpin a transvestite rapper down there back in the day. (kATEY rED)

@ATALNTA

Nigga just stop cuz this nigga EC is hurtin u nasty. foreal just go to another blog...

@ disrespect

u must be an EC cheerleader.

yall niggas funny to me

Yeah, I remember Common on Yo! He had that video where he was on the back of the CTA bus spitting and during the hook he had two couples stepping. I remember I stuck my chest out and thought, "we finally got one from here repping hip hop". Then, Tongue Twista dropped along with Do or Die. The only problem was, niggas here don't really respect real hip hop. Some do, a lot don't.

@Huey

Have you heard of a lyricist named "Momentum". That nigga is a spoken word vet that does it like Mos. That nigga is a friend of the family. We call him our cousin. He host a set at Brown Sugars on California and Madison on Thursdays. If you're out west at some point, let me know, I'll meet you up there and you can check that nigga out. You can also get on the mic and spit.

Back to the Subject.
Saigon get's it poppin.

Real Hip hop lives on the east coast.
Don't Forget it.

Yeah they really don't....it's unfortunate 2....

Shit is dry up in here today...
All the blogs are...

In my city The love for real hip hop is mounting.
But our infrastructure prevents us from blowing up like other cities.
We got a lot of concious as well as Gangsta emcee's. We been hip hop since the very begining.
Cat's still breakdance and do Graff where I'm from.
We have hip hop festivals thrown by our mayor.
We got 3 Major burrows.

Can you guess where I'm at.

yeah, I'll check back in later. It's raining, it's monday and I'm people are sewing up loose ends because of the potential 4 day weekend coming up.

Nas is an automatic purchase each time out, no more needs to be said, as far as Saigon, hes dropping shit from the heart so i respect that.

@Huey I got a sample of it this AM. Red and Meth - love that.

But I am slowly but showly falling in Love with Lil Weezy but he is still a young one but that nicca spits on Hollywood Divorce on that Outkast - that is must buy!

@Slimgoody:
What up chica? See you know you gotta share TI cause he my lil trap star too...lol. (that sexy MF gotta a song with Jamie Foxx - catch the access granted on Tuesday or Wednesday if you can)

Um... I think that game is a cowardly and confused mothafucka and I don't respect most of his actions. But he is a gifted MC. If u stupid mothafuckas don't stop this bullshit about, "oh, he keeps name dropping"... SO MOTHAFUCKIN WHAT?? Last time I checked, the words still rhyme. So what he'll say martin luther king, then say harry potter, then oprah winfrey, to steve urkel to whatever name he fuckin calls out? He does it to paint a clearer picture within his raps. For u assholes that are to dumb to know, that literary device is called allusion. No, not illusion. A-L-L-U-S-I-O-N. It's a reference to something in history used to help illustrate and idea or point. If u feel like criticizing a rap technique, talk about mike jones repeating the same shit over and over. Even that can be used in a respected way. L- Boggie did it a few times on her unplugged album to hammer in a few points. Say u don't care for Game but don't front on his skills. He takes far too many subliminal shots at people and entire regions but he uses a lot of different tools in his delivery. Similar to an iceberg slim or frank white. Tip to the current generation of rappers: stop relying so heavily on punchlines. Listen to all the catalouges of Jay, Big, and Nas. All successful in conveying messages in a plethora of ways. I don't like Game either. But fuck it. The music is hot. Get off his dick.

@DIS

Ima cop it

I keep hearing Z-ro make good musik
but He threw me off wit shoulder lean
the flow tight but I keep hearin him say Kriss Kross was one of his major influences WTF so Ima hit up a used CD spot and get it cheap

I heard tha Backwoodz are the truth though

and @ theillest
GOOOD LOOKIN OUT CAT DADDY Ima peep that right now

@KSH I see you lil mama

"From the recording booth to the stage, Busta Rhymes is still a monster on the microphone. Sure, he can stunt and front with the best of them, peep his gaudy, gold rope inspired diamond studded chains, but when it comes to what matters musically, he's asserted himself to be in an elite class. No longer a character ("I ain't animated like say a Busta Rhymes," said Jay-Z), he's become more human, so to speak. He's a classic artist that dropped a dope album. If you're asking for more, you're probably bitter and stuck in the past, while you ought to be listening to the future".

Insert Nas, Ice Cube, Hov, Meth, Red or anybody dropping this year into this piece. True hip hop never dies and it never gets old. Dance crazes fade!

Eminem Vs. Hugh Hefner's girlfriend? WOW!
Current mood: pissed

ILSEED:
So, I wanted to do this rumor on Hugh Hefner's girl Kendra Wilkinson and how she said she had a terrible experience with eminem. the damn thing was deleted in like less than 24 hours. either she was stark raving mad or got shut down or just shut herself down. at any rate, my girl Heather is as addicted to e-stuff as i am and she saved it. like to read it hear it go (THANKS HEATHER, YOU'RE THE BEST!):

Wednesday, August 23, 2006~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~THIS WAS DELETED THE NEXT DAY!
My first rap video
Current mood: pissed off

I made a BAD MISTAKE when i agreed to be in a music video with EMINEM!! Why would i
think doin my first music video with Eminem would be soooo tight?? i have no idea why cuz
i never liked him in the first place but getting the so called opportunity was something i
wouldnt pass up which was a bad mistake hahaha!!
The reason for me doing the video wasnt for the money, it was to make all my fans happy
that i finally did a rap video cuz we all know how much i talk about how much i wanna be in
one..right?? well im getting right to the point by saying it was probably the worst
experience of my life!!
It all started off really cool when my best friend Brittany came up just to support me and
cheer me on but not to mention her obsession over Eminem was also what made her drive
all the way up for the day. When we first got there everyone like Akon came to say hi
and greeted us. So i was so happy cuz it seemed like a start to a fun great day but a
long fun great day huh huh!!
So about ten hours later(waiting in a cafeteria) i finally get my call to come in and shoot
the scene with eminem. I was lookin the hottest of the hot(not conceided) and i was
ready to go with my hair all done and everything, sooo happy. so we start by doing some
warmups and i was dancing my ass off(literally) cuz it was my time to shine in front of
David Banner, Lil Zane, and a couple other rappers and 100s of people.D
eveyone was lovin my dancing and makin me feel good. Then Eminem walks in the room
lookin like hes overdosing on drungs. We met and he was really nice to begin with and he
was saying things like how he watches the show and how he got our issue of playboy and
he wants me to sign it so i was very flattered and happy. Then we start doing our scene
and everything is goin good until we go on a break. I went over to sit on the couch to rest
a lil bit and i started talking to this really nice guy. Next, i look over and see Eminem
walkin towards me. I smile and say "whats up?", he takes out a bottle of water and
pours it all over me!!! There goes my makeup, there goes my hair, there goes my tears,
and there goes my first rap video!!! Yes i charged at him to knock him out, only got him a
lil bit though cuz of his big ass body guard that was in my way.
All i have to say about this is I feel way more sorry for him than i do hate him over this!!
even though i yelled out probably 100000 times i hate him haha!! He has to act like a 5 yr
old lil kid by pouring water on me to make himself feel better about his sad life. Everyone
like Akon came over to make me feel better and that was really cool of them but inside i
was dying!! i was so embarrassed and humiliated! So many people after that said they will
never support him anymore and they will never listen to him anymore!! Hef felt sooo bad
for me and was sooo pissed at Eminem, Hef HATES him now haha!!
So i lived and i learned right?? I will never do a rap video again unless its three 6 mafia,
too short, bow wow, or nelly!!! Nelly was so nice to me by sending me a letter along with
an autograhed jersey and pimpjuice the day after this eminem video so now im happy again
haha!!
So all i can woder is why why why???? maybe he was loaded on drugs, maybe i reminded
him of Kim, maybe he hates me..who knows!! all i know is i didnt do anything to him to
make him do this to me. So im movin on with my life and putting this in the past but
please dont buy any music from him anymore hahahahaa jk!! love u all and thanks for
watching the show and listening to my sad story haha!! Peace
KDUB

say word... Saigon is that nigga. But with Lupe on the same roster... uh, i donno son. Not a good look for the kid. We'll just have to see what happens.

And nas coming out in a couple of weeks? no new single no vid? umm what the hell is going on over there at Def jam? oh yeah.. i forgot. Lady Sovereign LOL LOL LOL! Somebody needs to shut down that fuckin label

I see KSH is Back in the buiding.

KSH I am going 2 switch shit up for me so I can get thru the rest of the day. O.K now with that being the premise I am going to jask you a series of questions or to respond 2 a series of inquires and you tell me what your thoughts or reaction is to my question or inquiry....O.k.....

O.K., Ready????

Give me a metaphoric phrase that best describes the American Black Man….

Boycott Def Jam? MOST DEFINITELY. They don't know what the fuck they're doing over there ever since kevin liles.. or whatever his last name is, got fired, Def jam aint been the same. They need to bring Russell back. serious.

You can fuss and fight over Rick Ross but leave Nas hanging? his album better NOT come out on the 12th! its not gonna be a good look!

Cosigning ^^^^^^^^^^^

WOW! Let me think...I was just over on giving Dish on Flava Flav and I was saying how my IQ dropped 50 points since I started watching - now I have to read The Covenant with Black America -...lol

GIve me few and let me dilly dally over that for a moment.

Nas = The Legend

Saigon = The Future

Say word. Im co-signing. Whaddup son! I

A Metaphor about the Black Man -

Which one? Or do you want a just a general mini thesis and I can lay them all out but I don't wanna get too deep?

???? i HOPE ITS NOVEmber not september 12th

O.K....

The Covenant with Black America -

I have not read that book yet and everyone tells me it's a must read. I was actually asked to sit on a panel regarding issues cenetered around public education that is a part of this
The Covenant with Black America, movement.

I actually have the book at home but it just have not made it 2 the top of my pile, yet.

A Metaphor about the Black Man -

Which one? Or do you want a just a general mini thesis and I can lay them all out but I don't wanna get too deep?

Posted by: KSH at August 28, 2006 02:25 PM

What's wrong with someone getting 2 deep....Lol....I couldn't resist....no lay it out on 1 phrase or so. Treat it like it's art and make me work to capture the true essence behind the metaphor...U feel me.......

@BigUP:
You should pick it up. It was required reading in one of my classes at Auburn.

I have read it 4 times and I go back to reference it when things seem a little hopeless.

Now here goes - The Black Man

I his hay day was the the provider the protector and the relgious leader of not just his family but his community. With the onset of the feminine movement and the lack of real eucational value the Black Man has become the scapegoat and the excuse monster for this century.

What's wrong with someone getting 2 deep....Lol....I couldn't resist....no lay it out on 1 phrase or so. Treat it like it's art and make me work to capture the true essence behind the metaphor...U feel me.......

Posted by: BigUP2BK at August 28, 2006 02:30 PM

See I should have read that b4 I replied. B/c I like a lil deepness myself...lol.

KSH:

I Like...I Like....

Over the several months I will be traveling alot on business and to do some research. A will bring it with me and read it when I am traveling...

@EC (zone 4 capo)

Niccaz who aint from the boot trying to tell us what we was playin in 94-97.
That is hilarious.Nicca we was bumpin BG,unLV,pNc,Magnolia slim(that's soulja slim to U young niccaz),Juvenile,Mystikal,MAC etc.
Yall niccaz was bumping Kilo ali ,Raheem,kp and envy,95 south and all that booty shake music.yall fronting like yall didnt steal crunk from memphis.Yall stole jigg music fro m baton rouge and renamed it snap.only difference is yall made it gayer.You all will be the death of southern rap.

Other than the covenent and religous books such as the bible, Quran and Torah what book should be absolute required reading for all black women.

@ DIS

Its self titled
Joe only has one album under his belt.
it has a black and white cover wit his name in red letters

Ima see if I can find Z -ro on my L break

@BigUp:
I tried to condense it. Did not want to preach a sermon just state what I see and feel. Short and sweet.

But take that book with you and let me know what you think about it. Tavis is my boi but I am big fan of Greg Mathis - that's my boi. He came to Auburn in the spring and he laid it out on the table - not the Bill Cosby type criticisms and preaching to the choir but real life situations and solutions. Judge Mathis is a powerful speaker and he is on point always.

Do your research, Saigon aint from Brooklyn... He spit heat, but I dont know why he needs to act like he is from a place that he's not really from...

I will...no doubt.

Judge Mathis is from homegirl Slimgoody's town...Detroit. We sort of have similar backgrounds....U Know... with the getting in trouble with the law ahit and then trying education as a way out of life of crime.

Anyway, he doing much bigger than I am it...but I am on my way...no doubt.

So the book for women...how are U thinking about...Toni Morrison's Bluest Eyes'joint...

That should have read:

I will...no doubt.

Judge Mathis is from my homegirl Slimgoody's town...Detroit.

@BigUP:
You picking out some deep feeling and things of that nature.

I read the Bluest Eye in 9th Grade Literature class - dam am I that old!

But that is a book that I bought for my daughter - not quite ready for her to read it though - she has a ways to go b4 she needs to indulge in that. But that book is something that stuck with me through everything - I have read a lot of books but The Bluest Eye - makes you think not only about yourself but those around you...wheeww!

@Slimgoody:
What up chica? See you know you gotta share TI cause he my lil trap star too...lol. (that sexy MF gotta a song with Jamie Foxx - catch the access granted on Tuesday or Wednesday if you can)

I just happened to catch a glimpse of the preview yesterday....girl I can't even describe how good T.I. looked, then it was over, 2 quick for me, lol, but I will be tuning in...

I like what you said at 2:32pm also, that's the truth, maybe I should get that book also, eeehhhh, i dont know.

@BigUP:
Being a dark skinned sister - The Bluest Eye made me shed a skin that I carried around for 14 years of constant criticism and the feeling of some real ugliness - not only on the outside but the inside.

I shed two layers of skin - one layer of insecurity and an extra layer of non indulgence.

Don't get me started b/c I might have to shed a layer of tears all over again.

@KSH & BigUp

I couldnt help but tha read what yall was talkin bout some kind of book.
i loved to read but i dont like to read a whole lot bullshit b4 i read something good so can one of yall tell me tha name of it so i can read it and tell me what its bout cuz where i work man. its either im on these blogs all day or i could be readin a good book. so whats happenin?

I figure that would be one your favorites...you know what I book I like alot that is more comtemporary (Rhetorical question)...

IThe book I speak of is Sista Souljah's book entitled "No Disrespect"... In fact I like that book better than hee Coldest Winter Ever book...

If you have read that book U should it's enjoyable...Its not very political either but very enjoyable to read...

@Slimgoody
It is a good book I promise. It reads like a novel instead of a "How to book"

But on the T.I.P tip - that boi is like a glass of Pinot Grigio and I am not talking about that expensive ish I am talking some Arbor Mist taste good and lil sweet (Like red kool aid) LOL!

Posted by: Disrespect at August 28, 2006 03:04 PM

Covenant With Black America --you can find it anywhere...very good read.

@BigUp:
I need to read that Sista Soulja - I have heard about it but never picked it up.

I am on another tip now I have to indulge while school is out so I have been catching up on my Eric Jerome Dickey novels...I gotta go buy the new one soon b/c I have read all of his so far. But I try to slip a political one in every now and again.

@BigUP:
Being a dark skinned sister - The Bluest Eye made me shed a skin that I carried around for 14 years of constant criticism and the feeling of some real ugliness - not only on the outside but the inside.

@ 504
Yeah I knew you would come back and try to flex. Nigga we was playin the same shit yall was playin. Thats how I know what yall was bumpin back in 94-97. Nigga we was bumpin Master P, UNLV, all that shit to. Matter of fact Uptown Niggas Livin violently was one of the first albums I bought im my life. Yeah yall was playin all the folk you mentioned above. But yall was also playin DJ Jimmy, Katey Red, DJ Jubilee, Vocka Redu, Big Freeda among others. How the fuc you gonna talk about us, when yall made that trash???? And furthermore, yeah we all know New orleans is gangsta, we all know its the murda cap, but how the fuc you gonna have 2 gay, crossdressing, transvestite rappers??????????????????????? Nigga we # 2 behind San Fran with the gays, but that shit wont even fly up here. I didnt want to say nothin, but dont front, you know yall niggas was bumpin Katey Red and Vocka Redu back in the day. I got kinflok in the NO, Ive seen it myself yall niggas second line dancing to faggot ass Katey Red or Vocka Redu. Snap music is better in a million years than 2 cross dressing gay rappers. Of course Bounce could have never blew up like snap, cuz the country aint ready for a cross dressing faggot rapper. Stop flexin, yeah snap music is trash, but at least we dont have gay transvestites rappin from the A.

Isn't that the kid who is fascinated with male homosexuality. I can't fuck with him.

The sista souljah No Disrespect book U will really like. I love giving women books that I dig as gifts. I might just mail that 2 U...

If I like a book I alway go back and by another copy of it to give tosomeobe who I think might enjoy it.

Disrespect

I can refer a lot of books to U but what subject matter are U looking for?
My ex girl was reading his shit one day and when she put his book down read some of his shit and he was into this homo shit....ned

BigUP2BK

I'm gonna check that book out by Sista Soulja also...I go book shopping every month and i just went last week, but i'll let u know how i liked it, though u didnt ask me, lol

KSH

red koolaide is my favorite, lol, u betta ask somebody!!!!

@ 504

I didnt want to take it there, cuz I got much love for the NO. I love going down there. But you on here all out of pocket, big boy flexin. Trying to talk down on us, nigga you cant even begin to answer for Katey Red and Vocka Redu. Nothing you can say can answer for them fags that are from your city that rap, and people actually listen to them in New Orleans. Stop flexin, on here like New Orleans shit dont stink. Bruh, these NY niggas on here cant smell it, but we smell up here in atlanta loud and clear

@BigUP:
Thanks! I feel the same way about those shades of color. I had to realzie that I was an intelligent girl b4 anything and I let me skin color get in the way of my sweetness, my charm and my wisdom.
I got called ugly a lot and I acted as such - I had to get you b4 you got me. Did that for 14 years - it is funny now when I think about it. My teachers would say "She is a smart child but she just acts out for no reason" Mom could not get it b/c she is a Vanessa Williams type color and wrote her off as not feeling like that. But as I got older she let me in a lil secret about the troubles of the light skin sister.
Blew my mind and it really helped me to see what was real and what was fake.

Other than the covenent and religous books such as the bible, Quran and Torah what book should be absolute required reading for all black women.

TRUE!!!!!!!!!

Slim:

Anytime U are in the building I am talking 2 U....lol.

Yeah, tell me what U think after U read it.

Ladies

Here is a question...What are 3 things that Black men just don't understand about Black women?

@BigUp:
You are tripping. Eric Jerome is obssessed with the male and female relationship and if anything he will stick some grl on grl action in some dam where but never any man on man.
He has really got a good eye for that Black man that has been locked up and is trying to do better but he always get caught up with the femme fatale - it is good intersting and addictive reading but it is a good get away from the real world - for sure.

KSH

It's sad that most young girls do act out b/c they think they are not light enough or pretty enough; that's why I think alot of sistas goals went from making money the good ole fashion way (schhol/work/etc.) to being a video hoe and lookin slutty...

Color has nothing to do with sexy myself, it's all about what comes out the mouth and a few other things, lol, but I wont go there...

I WAS HERE FRIDAY... I LEFT WITHOUT ONE CHALLENGE FROM ANYONE CLAIMIN' TO REP NYC... I AM ON THE HOUSTON BLOG WRECKIN' BOYS DAILY... I'M NOT GONNA WASTE MY TIME ON YA'LL FAKE ASS WANNABEE RAPPERS ON THIS BLOG AS I HAVE ALREADY DONE SO ONCE... ANYBODY THINK THEY GOT SKILLS TO WRECK ME COME TO SOHH HOUSTON AND GET PUNK'D LIKE ASHTON KUTCHER... I THOUGHT NYC WAS REAL, OR AT THE VERY LEAST HAD REAL CATS... I WAS WRONG... BUCK NYC AND BUCK ALL OF YA'LL IF YOU WANT IT YOU KNOW WHERE I'M AT... PEACE YOU YANKEE PUSSY'S

@BIGUP2

NAW I AINT WIT THAT GAY SHIT.
IM TALKIN LIKE SOME BOOKS FOR THA NIGGAZ. SOME PAID IN FULL MOVIE BOOK TYPE SHIT. DO U KNOW IF 50'S AUTO BIO IS ANYGOOD?

the fact of the matter is yall niccaz from Atlanta is the weak end of the stick.Gays everywhere in atl.I knowwwwww You see it...

...What are 3 things that Black men just don't understand about Black women?

Posted by: BigUP2BK at August 28, 2006 03:18 PM

short & simple

1. we have feelings

2. we want to be respected at all times

3. we get emotional, not b/c we want to but b/c it's a part of that estrogen thing....

i'm reading these post and what is funny is that some of you believe Nelly, Paul wall, and the south in general is selling. nope...check the soundscan. nelly, paul wall, field mobb, goodie mobb, trina, kia, dtp, big boi's purple bunnies, all flopped. only ones selling was ti, jezzy and outkast. 50 sells more then them together. besides nelly, they're not making money. they sell 200,000 copies and their boss from NY is getting that money. don't let the radio brain wash you thinking there selling and rich. at least go gold before talkin shit on there behalf.

FUCK H-TOWN MIKE

IM FROM TEXAS AND NIGGA UR FAKE.
FUCK YOU.
WE DONT CLAIM U.

DONT LISTEN TO THIS DUDE

TEXAS BABY!

Disrepect

I have 50's Bio & I read every word of it, though it didnt keep my interest, I thought eventually I'd find a line that'll make me say it was money well spent, but I didn't.

@Slimgoody:
That is so true. My mom is very light but I despised that lady b/c when I was young I thought she had it all and did not have to ask - but she was suffering too she just learned how to hide it. When I was about 18 she gave me the info - but I was like I am not going to wait til my daughter is 18 - she is going to read the Bluest Eye when she is 13. Girls gotta know that being Superhead ain't what we were made for.

@BigUP:
You can def mail me that Sista Soulja - let me know and I will give you an address.

3 things --- Men Should Know!

1. It's okay to mess up. As long as you know how to redeem yourself.
2. We have our pride too.
3. Make this about us and you and your chances are better. Instead of me against the world; it can be we against the world.

@BigUP:

Posted by: KSH at August 28, 2006 03:15 PM

Yeah that skin color thing has been a dirty little secret in our race for centuries. W.E.B DuBois and other Black sociologists addressed it somewhat but it is really was a problem.

I have dated dark skin sistas and have told them they are White America associated Dark skin with ugliness.

I use to tell dark skin women I date that they were beautiful and they would look at me as if I was bullshitten them. One girl said to me “ For-real; why are you interested in me….”

I see beauty in the physical but I also see beauty in one’s persona and intelligence…that what's pulls me in anyway…the persona and intelligence…

Hittiing a fine woman is nothing 2 me...been there that...I don’t see what the big deal is about that ( I am not say I would n’t hit another one cusz I would) but I have to be able to talk 2 U or it’s not going 2 work in the end; I don’t care how good your stuff is …. If U R a female idiot ..I will bounce…no doubt.

3. Make this about us and NOT you...

Try Nathan McCall's Make me Wanna Holla ...

Ladies...

I made my notes on that....

@Slimgoody:
I did not read all of 50's book b/c I got sidetracked by EJerome Dickeys - Thieves Paradise and Drive Me Crazy - those books are better than some movies I have seen.

I meant "Gotta co-sign"

@BigUP:
I will check out Nathan's Make Me Wanna Holla if you pick up an Eric Jerome book. I can mail you mine but you must send them back or I will have to lay hands on you...lol

KSH

I've read so many of Eric Jerome Dickey's books I get them all confused now, lol

but have u read Bmore Carful & G-Spot, G-Spot was good as hell!!!!!!

Ladies:

What makes a man cool in your eyes...I know it's a little shallow...but what is male coolness...

"wanna know why hip hop is garbage cause of dummies like you who accept the mediocrity of the game and it's lack of lyrics which have been replaced by mindless shoulder leaning."

Being respectful to woman period.
Being real.
Good shoes (LOL).

I use like a lil thug but I can take a Kanye and/or Skateboard P type dude as long as he is genuine.

O.K KSH what about you slim:

BigUP2BK

He didnt write those books, I'll have to see who did when I get to the crib, but they are excellent...to me...

As far as what makes a man cool...if he conversates well, considerate, fun to be around, not stingy, & interesting makes a man cool in my book. It also helps if he's easy on the eyes, lol.

What makes a woman cool to you???

NEW YORK... ya'lls rap is soft and too educated. Raps supposed to be grimey, not intelligent. Keep it gutter, and keep it trill!!!

'm reading these post and what is funny is that some of you believe Nelly, Paul wall, and the south in general is selling. nope...check the soundscan. nelly, paul wall, field mobb, goodie mobb, trina, kia, dtp, big boi's purple bunnies, all flopped. only ones selling was ti, jezzy and outkast. 50 sells more then them together. besides nelly, they're not making money. they sell 200,000 copies and their boss from NY is getting that money. don't let the radio brain wash you thinking there selling and rich.

^^^^^
Im reading your posts and its funny how you NY niggas only claim 50 when it comes to sales. Any other topic of discussion and yall nigga is like fuck 50 this fuck 50 that. Yall cant have your cake and eat it 2. First off, Nelly aint from the south, he from the midwest, second goodie mobb aint dropped a album in like 8 years, Third. aint nobody sellin, but the south is 4 sure sellin better than the north when niggas like Busta "First Im silly, now Im gangsta" Rhymes cant sell more than Young Joc of DFB.

Cool Women

A woman who is totally tight with her game...She knows what she wants and how going to get it....

A woman who is intelligent and ambitious

A woman who knows how to make her man want her...

@ slimgoody:
Oh don't do my boi West like that - but that is true about Skateboard P LOL! But I like them b/c they are not shame of their nerdiness. Kanye seems likehe hides his thug tendencies b/c he def got them b/c he is too arrogant not to have them. He seems like the type you could keep at and then all of sudden he scare the shit out of you b/c the real man comes out...LMAO

@BigUp:
You are wrong for that - don't do Eric like that. He kept me sain when I was going through - he was like an addictive as sope opera. I just got finish reading Terry McMillan's new book. It was a good one but I still like A Day Late and A Dollar Short - better. I also read a book by George Fraser about Black Networking - it is an old book but it was very good.

Alright now, are we talkn about what we like in men we're interested in kickin it with or just cool??? It's a difference.

@KSH

He seems like the type you could keep at and then all of sudden he scare the shit out of you b/c the real man comes out...LMAO

Right right!

One other thing about women that you all should know...we are more like you guys than you think. We do some locker room type scoreboard too...recognize and appreciate that!

Is that the book show Black people how to sell because if it is I met him him a few times.

Slim are U saying:

Kicking it with...is o.k this could be something long term

and Cool is we are just hanging and if U play your cards right I might give U some...

Just define it for me...

Thank u, saigon, for not being a clone like TI, lil wayne, young joc and all these mediocre rappers from the south. And in reference to the NASty one. I will be buying three "Hip Hop is Dead" cds. One for the house, one for the ride and one for the casket. Peace!

kickin it with is when you plan on talking often, dating, spending quality time 2gether, & and yes getn & givin some , lol

just being cool is how we are...just talkin and conversing, or even hanging out with one another

"i'm reading these post and what is funny is that some of you believe Nelly, Paul wall, and the south in general is selling. nope...check the soundscan. nelly, paul wall, field mobb, goodie mobb, trina, kia, dtp, big boi's purple bunnies, all flopped. only ones selling was ti, jezzy and outkast. 50 sells more then them together. besides nelly, they're not making money. they sell 200,000 copies and their boss from NY is getting that money. don't let the radio brain wash you thinking there selling and rich. at least go gold before talkin shit on there behalf."

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Nelly's not selling? I didn't know goin double platinum on Sweat (recently) and triple platinum on Suit and Gold on the rerelease was a flop!!!! If i remember correctly The Massacre went five times platinum which is pretty much the same as Sweatsuit. Your takin away the only thing Nelly had goin for him, SALES.

No need to be nasty to T.I. & Lil Wayne both have proved they have talent...

AHH FUCK THAT

SLIM, U AND I ARE NOT COOL

WE ARE WITH OUT DOUBT, KICKING IT!!!!

BigUP2BK

Is that u with all the caps??? lol...I've never heard u talk like that....

Cool is homeboi status. Hangin out for no reason - no sexual gifts exchanged we are cool like that. I have a lil homie like that and he is like my lil brother and my hubby is cool with him too. But he is my homeboi - we chill and that's all. He knows and I know we would never got over that line.

Kickin it - since I am married I don't kick it anymore - but when I did it was you are #1 on the list and I am #1 on my list - we can kick it with others but when it is time to leave the street you need to come on in like folk.

@slimgoody:
You right about Kanye but that is my man so I can't laugh at him...

Know...kicking it ...I need someone to be tight becuase I have big things I want 2 do and are doing most of those things now.

I don't even approach a woman if I don't think she can be tight. And it's not that today she has to be on her game but if I see the potential...I step to her...Because I am going to help her build and reach her goals as I reach my goals. I don't even need a college graduate... I need some one who has dreams and are not afraid to pursue them...real talk.

It was suppose to be LMAO in front of that sentence^^^^^^^^^^^^

With all do respect NY the birthplace, if Hip Hop is dead or dying then it's really a direct effect of what NY has done in the past. NY'ers like to take credit for starting a lot of trends and deservingly so, so it's time that you all also take responsbility for the bullshit that's going on in Hip Hop.

NY was the first cats to purposely dumb they lyrics down to get more mainstream recognition.

NY Hip Hop cats was the first ones to receive endorsment deals from large companies.

Really the list can go on and on, another example is Fat Joe, started everbody Leanin'. Most of the cats that's pushin the south's movement are from NY or the East. It's all about greed and that paper and we all know that not just you NY'ers but people in this capatalists ass nation is out for that almighty dollar.

So really NY shouldn't be mad at the south or hate on the souths lack of lyrical ability but instead congratulate them and then take the credit for there success. Our families left the south years ago seeking better jobs and better education for there children. They went up north and to the east. So NY does have a better educational system than say Alabama does so naturally the lyrical content coming out of NY is going to be higher than most lyrics coming from Alabama. But instead of recognizing this NY'ers will call there southern brethren slow. Not cool. I say just look in the mirror next time you hear Laffy Taffy, or any of that so called "south bull-shit".

@ Slim

Unfortunately, I have plenty of them.

Who has the heart broken before...I have that shit hurts...lol

I had my heart Broken during the thugs years too...Man I don't ever want feel that pain like that again...

Yeah and the word NO was suppose to be in front my shit...

Know...kicking it ...I need someone to be tight becuase I have big things I want 2 do and are doing most of those things now.

I think everyone has had their heart broken over the age of 25..It hurt like hell, I thought I wanted to die...I laugh at the thought now b/c I cant imagine ever feeling like that again, but I'm glad I went through it b/c it has absolutely made me a stronger woman..Like they say...what is joy without pain....we wouldnt know:-)

@slimgoody
I had this really nice guy but he was too damn nice to the point that he was stupid and I could not take it. He was a hopeless mama's boi and I had to break him down. Never cheated that I knew but he would let me do whatever and I could not do that to him. He was like I will be mean if you want me too - I was like that's okay baby you just go on. When I see him now I still feel guilty as hell...LOL!

So Slim; I have few people down there when the time get near I will give U my contacts down there maybe they can be helpful.

I am sereiously thinking about transferring my interests in women to the south or another region...how are women difference in other region than NY women...

Damm...I meant:

how are women different in other region than NY women...

@KSH

I'm not gonna say I dont feel really bad about hurting feelings, but it just doesnt compare to the way I felt when I got my heart broke...I'm serious, that was no joke..

@BipUp:
I don't know - The only people I knew in NY were originally from the south. Holla at me when you make your rounds at Tuskegee - you can do research on that - good topic.

@ SLim

At least U are honest...

Women do shit all abruptly and than become rude as hell...lol...yall are wild...

BigUP2BK

The contact info will be soooo helpful, so we will have to keep in touch...

I think Southern women differ from Northerners (not only NY) b/c we are quick to go the fuck off on a nicca, or hit them, get revenge or whatever, our attitudes are fucked up here... Down there I think their women have more patience, and are quicker to cater to their men...We may be a lil more street...KSH correct me if I'm wrong

@BigUP

I stays honest....no bullshit here

Are women in the south very docile?

Some women may see that question as a knock while others may see it as a positve.

I hear you Slim; I don't think I ever had that wanna die feeling. I mean I cried and ish but I was like damn my neighbor looking kinda cute in those boxers...nicca what you like to eat? LOL

I don't know maybe it has been so long that I don't remember hell I am pretty cool about the love thing. I ahve been cheated on and it hurt but I was like YES! Get yo ass out b/c you ain't doing shit but putting dent in my couch...lol. It was more like a wake up call than a hurt.

Slim I didn't see this before the Docile question but I understand. Yeah, I am tired of fighting and shit. Every relationship I meet someone who is crazy and want to fight. I hate that because I want hit a girl, ever...unless she got a wepon and is charging at me...but anything other than that I will not hit a woman...So they know they can feel comfortable without that yelling and shit...Dammm...I am heading south...lol

@slimgoody

Don't get Bigup down here and he get fucked up fooling around with the Southern women...lol

Slim for real we have both but mostly we have the old skool head like myself and we have the young stupid kind and they are very dependent and it is not love...it is the fact that we don't like change that much - we get comfortable and put it with some stupid shit just b/c we don't wanna start over. But me I don't play the radio - if yo ass ain't moving I ain't riding. But that is my take on it.

And the old skool like my Grandma - they would take anything and stay married - other women and all that nonsense - not my character though.

But I do think we are a lot more patient with it.

^^^^
I dont know about that, In my dealings with females, down south females actually are a little wilder. A down south girl will 4 sure go fuck off on you faster than a up north girl. These girls down here are sluts str8 up. And they dumb crazy, girls in the A will hit a nigga in the face quick. These girls dont give a fuck down here. If they mad at you, they will call the police on you, or they cousin Te-Te from around the way to fuck you up.

^^^^^^^^^^^

Once again yall NY niggas talkin about shit you have no clue about

Damm EC and KSH:

It's like that...shit I might as well stay up here in NY.

Don't trust her as....lol

Posted by: BigUP2BK at August 28, 2006 05:00 PM

You are wild boi!

But on the docile tip b/c we can get stupid on yo ass. I don't do it b/c it is predictable - peep this:

A nicca think he got you. So he up in the club chilling and lingering on the ladies - he gets busted and you don't slap him or her. You just be real cool - he will be like Scott Free trying to figure yo ass out. That is the fun part --lol!

I would go so far as to say that I prefer upnorth females to down south females. These broads from down here are to hard to control, they to superficial. All they concerned about is what kind of rims on your car, and how big your bank roll is. If it aint big enough, then she at the club the next night lookin for a nigga with a bigger bank roll. But it works itself out, cuz a nigga like me is not trying to bake a cake. Id rather smash and keep it movin. And girls down here are 4 sure easier to smash. But if you try and wife one, thats on your stupid ass. To me Midwest bitches are the best, they are the most down for they nigga, and they get moneyt for they nigga

@DISRESPECT

my bad earlier
I got Z-RO confused with Young-Dro
cause their names rhyme
Couldn't find it on my L Break Ima cop it later
Its 5pm
I'm out
bread cheese oxtail n rice n peas

Sorry yall, I got so much to say but gotta go, we must continue tomorrow or later...

Scott Free you gotta join us a lil earlier next time....

Have a good nite all, I'm out......

EC: That is real serious. I got to church with this girl from ATL and she jsut got out for stabbing her baby daddy in the eye with a dam pencil..lol

That is crazy - but I think women are crazy eeerrrwhere...lol no region applies

Peace slim...

I fell you @ what up with nas? Hip Hop is not dead. everyone is donating to the game. Nas, jay, pac, big, outkast, ti flip 50, wu tang, paul wall, diddy, nelly who ever. If you kicking knowledge then do that. Nas kick knowledge and get it to a larger audience. With out hating on the industry. You get fukked everyday at work from 9 to five. it is going to happen in everthing that you do. You just have to be smart and get what you want out of it.

Posted by: EC (zone 4 capo) at August 28, 2006 05:08 PM

Young and dumb ones...all these dam schools down here you would think they would be better but they are not.
Then in the south they got all these dam so call Root Workers and ish - and I don't play with that but there are some women that believe in that shit!

KSH:

I think U R right...

Oh well; look like I have to go back to the drawing board...

Posted by: EC (zone 4 capo) at August 28, 2006 05:08 PM

Its the same up north but worse don't get it twisted
at least the ratio is much better
females here are stuck up as Hell
and rude as fk
not all but a lot even the ugly ones
I find down south women to be breath of fresh air. Plus down bottom a woman is more likely to approach you.
NorthEast woman won't unless your a star. They feel that ish is beneath them and desperate. Girls up here do not kick game to you believe that.
They have very high expectations and tend to be needy. Nothings wrong with that to a extent, but alot of em take that sht to far and don't have any class!

aight I really out now

Aiight; I have 2 bounce early today...Peace to all the real...

Let me save the stans some eneregy

"Look at BIGUP2BK Pathetic attempt 2 talk 2 women...."

See Reckless why it's time 2 cut me a check....

@BigUp:
Go for the woman not the region; that is real crazy. And for EC I am sure the south is not the only place you can get an easy smash.

@Scott Free
I am not sure b/c I have been the other woman b4 and not the ish was not right...blah blah blah - but if the rules of engagement are clear there should not be a problem. B/c if we kickin it and I know what else you are doing that is diefferent but if you are trying to hold me back while to get to play bedroom uno - then that is a problem --

But I have to go. It has been real.

Keep it going and keep it progressive.

Peace Out!

rip hip hop

c. 1972 - the south

Banga!

You get it everytime! I am not sure about the North women but what you said about the South is another side of us that I love!

People need to stop caring what these dumbass southern hicks think,the south is on top now but everything goes in cycles.The same happened with the West,in the early ninties everyone was wearing the denmim,straight outta county look until it got old and it died off but the true pioneers(Dre,snoop,Ice Cube)r still around.The same shit will happen with this southern bullshit.People r getting tired of hearing about your fucking rims or your fucking shiny teeth or that stupid shit u slow ass fucks drink.Only the originators will last,most likely T.I.,Jezzy and Luda.Btu if history teaches us anything,the East will come back stronger than ever.You just gotta have patience.So let these slow southern bitches talk their shit(I'm surprised they can read)cause they won't be here for long.

You sound like the house nigga that was stealing reading lessons in between fuckin' Master's daughter, rubbin' it in the face of the slave that couldn't get to go in the house and steal a lesson or 2 cause they wasn't light skinned enough. Youza dumb fuck.

KSH:

I know that. I like a woman just how like I Like Hip Hop and that is real regardless of the place origion or current resident.

I was feelin the blog until u tried discrediting Lupe by saying...

Bet everything that Lupe, Saigon's Atlantic Records labelmate, will get more push than him. But fuck it.

That's the problem with you New York niggaz, i got love 4 yall and all that and u need to understand that the world moves in circle and everybody gets their turn...Yall had it first, than it was the west then the south and with lupe spittin the shit he's spittin right now, He's prolly the next big thing and i ain't even from the CHI...

Turn off the radio for real!!!
Not for nothing i think both of these albums will have a huge impact. Especially in NYC cause were tired of hearing what they been running all day long on the radio. That club music and commercial shit is cool from time to time but its time for rappers like these two (nas,saigon) to step up. Maybe the young crowd wont pick up on them cause they been brainwashed by whats on rotation but the real hip-hop heads thats into lyrics and rappers that have something to say will appreciate what these two bring to the table...

Hip-hop needs albums and rappers like this.. ONE

Aint nobody discrediting him you idiot. It's called THE OBVIOUS. We got MADD love for Lupe but as far as Atlantic Records goes it is what it is. READ the friggin quote

"And to those who are supposed to be on my team that are slacking... Dont Worry, Ill carry everybodies fucking load.."

Um HELLO can you read?

Diablo...

But anywayz, yeah yo. I'm looking forward to BOTH of their LPs can't wait to see how Saigon does. As far as Lupe, even though this post aint about him, I doubt he can come as hard as "Kick Push," which has basically fizzled out with the buzz. We'll see what happens.

Oh yeah... Saigon, he's a short mothafucka, but he could get it though. Just had to add that in there.

DOES ANYBODY ELSE REALIZE THAT NAS'S LYRICS CONTRADICT THEMSELVES? AND IF HE WAS SO ABOUT DOING THE RIGHT THINGS AND ALL THAT BULLSHIT THAT HE TENDS TO PREACH, HE WOULDNT HAVE SIGNED WITH JAY-Z JUST FOR THE DEAL MONEY - JAY FUCKED HIS BABY MOM. HOW CAN ANY MAN GO TO WORK FOR SOMEONE WHO FUCKED HIS BABY MOM?

HE AINT AS HOLY AS THAT NIGGA THINK AND WHY LISTEN TO HIM? JAY HAS DONE JUST AS MUCH FOR THE COMMUNITY, IF NOT MORE THAN NAS AND HE'S BEEN MAKING BETTER RECORDS. YOU ONLY AS GOOD AS YOUR LAST ALBUM. SO DON'T EVEN TELL ME NAS IS HOTTER. CAUSE HE AIN'T. HE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO HE IS!

And one other thing. they need a fuckin SOHH L.A blog and a SOHH STANS or some shit. cuz these motherfuckers be coming in here fucking up a good discussion. word. there aint no place for the west to yap their jibs. What about a sohh chicago or something. there's no love for the midwest

Saigon is that ni99a true story. He put in work hard body to get where he at. Ni99as be sleepin' on him bcuz Papoose is really the ni99a in the spot light as far as up and coming Brooklyn rappers. Not to take nothing away from P. but that ni99a Saigon is the truth as well. If u into hardcore rap download a couple of his joints on Limewire or better yet download his DVD on limewire that shyt is funny as hell plus the ni99a has acting skillz I give it to him.

Notable mention since u have latino like myself make sure you download that Don Omar feat. Fabolous - Dale remix its str8 fire. Real Talk!

SAIGON is ass. u niggers need to listen to some country. rap is crap rap is crap

i cant stand nas

working for jay, he lost all of my respect
i will never listen to nas or check for his shit

Saigon represents real hip-hop, the uncompromising voice of the oppressed - Reckless - nigga you are spot on with this blog.

Whether or not this album gets the promotion it deserves it will still be bananas, Saigiddy is holdin you NY nigs down, the streets of Brixton is feelin this nigga. And yeah Lupe's shit will get more promo but that still ain;t stopped that nigga from gettin his shit pushed back and it'll probably get pushed back again.

What up Mrs Rillest?

Damn finnally a good topic.How long did that take you reckless?Like a week or some shit.Whoever Saigon doesnt know how to spit must be stupid get off the website.

Yo whats goodie?

I feel you on the Saigon thing. I think that's real fresh the way he holding himself down and not letting these label execs pimp slap him into being another commercial artist. I hope this does the opposite of what everyone expects and BLOWS UP on the charts...trust me if that happens, other REAL hip-hop artists will follow suit and bring real rap back. But we can only wait...

damn go back to the west side cactus plants n desserts. this blog was doing fine without u

Money maker : take your money maker and fuck off.

Mrs Rillest : Yup I agree with you 100. Saigon is one of the better MC's comin out of NY, he's the only nigga with a bit of charisma. I think Pap could do with some of his personality. The nigga remind me of the Method Man 'I don't give a fuck what y'all think' attitude, thats definitely NY lol! Regardless as long as Atlantic promotes his shit he should do some ok numbers but fuck the sales as long as its good music I'm good. Whats good out in NY anyways? Still cookin over there?

what up Mrs Rillest what up englandrep?
Saigon fuck the haters.i was watching beef 2 this weekend and saw the nigga in there.i was like damn that was about 3 years ago.

"DOES ANYBODY ELSE REALIZE THAT NAS'S LYRICS CONTRADICT THEMSELVES? NAS IS A GOOD LYRICAL ARTIST, BUT TOO OFTEN HE GETS CAUGHT UP IN HOW MUCH HE'S SAYING AS OPPOSED TO WHAT HE'S SAYING - THE NIGGA SAY "FUCK BEING THE KING" ONE MINUTE, AND THE NEXT HE SAY "I'M THE KING." IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE NAS ALBUM, THEN YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. LISTEN TO ANY TWO OF HIS ALBUMS - HE CONTRADICTS HIS OWN LYRICS CONSTANTLY."

About GODDAMN TIME someone realized that!!! To make it even worse, the nigga constantly makes up shit - and people actually think he's dropping knowledge.

I'm still mad at him over the line he spit in Ether

"Rockerfeller died of aids, that was the end of his chapter/And that's the dude you choose to name your company after?"

That shit is nothing short of embarassing.

Most of Nas's fans are a bunch of fake intellectuals who listen to him because it makes them feel smart. If you researched half of the shit he says, you'd realize how inaccurate his "knowledge" is.

That's Real Talk

I cant wait for the both of these casts to drop.

The problem with a lot of Artists is that they are too pussy to make a record like the ones Nas and Saigon make.

Like they always say "a coward does what he can, a real dude does what he wants".

Remember that the next time one of these so called hard core artists make one of these pussy assed records. It's funny how they say they pimp's. When there the ones getting pimped by the industry.

P.S. Hip Hop is dieing, that shit on BET is some other from of music. How is it that the first nevetwork for Black Americans, dosent even play anything to empower us? Or alteast some good music?

excuse the typo's^^^^^

Say word? I have Beef I. I heard Beef III was wack but I'ma check Beef II. He's also in SMACK vol 9 with Tru Life. They were down from a while back... I think when they were both locked up.

I don't expect Saigon to drop anytime soon, but when he does, I hope he does well. Hip-hop needs this. Word...

Whats good BX? Whats good with you bredren?

Mrs Rillest I got one question for ya,
where in the fuck is Mr Rillest while you be on these blogs? lol
Whats good in NY right now anyhow? Is it still cookin out there cos it sure as hell ain't over here no more!

Mr. Rillest? lol...

You mean "cookin" as in "HOT"? Lol... Well if that's what it is, then NAH son. It's starting to get a little nippy out. And its back to school for the kiddos, so a lot of the stans will be busy reading "Green Eggs and Ham" during business hours. I hate the fall. It's boring. I hate the winter, it be madddddddd brick and I hate it cuz my hands get cold easy.

Anywayz yo, dear summer, I know you gonna miss me, for we been together like Nike Airs and crisp tees, S Dots with Polo fleeces...

LOL I hope I said that shit right.

I remember you asking about Saigon a while back, asking where he was from and all dat. Well you think you got enough info on him now? lol...

New York is WACK it aint what it used to be.

And by the way, what time is it over there? Is it morning time? The afternoon? Late evening hours?

Why does Saigon have a track called Mexico that seems random?

LOL that's the tracklisting for NAS you fucking stupid idiot. Try learning to READ your ABC's before you ask stupid brainless questions you fucking airheaded bimbo. "DUHHHHH DUHHHHHHH DUHHHHH! *scratches head* Can someone teach me how to read?"

YOUR EN IDIET.

Why does Saigon have a track called Mexico that seems random?

Yeah girl you can't be no Mrs unless you got a Mr so if you're Mrs Rillest where the fuck that nigga Mr Rillest be hidin?!!

And nah girl its mad early out here like quarter to six, my ass is up cos I gotta fly up to fuckin Scotland for work, Scotland!, they ain't never seen a brother up there, they gonna lynch a nigga lol!

And yeah I was askin bout Saigiddy a while back but I'm up on the nigga now, I just copped the DJ Drama Welcome to Saigon mixtape, its pretty tight.

And yeah you ain't the only one who misses Summer, its colder than a muthafucka out here in Winter, black people ain't supposed to live in no cold climate, we warm blooded animals dammit!

"Pain in my life" is a great song. I haven't heard any other material from Saigon but I will be on the look out.

If the whole album is full of that kind of material, I can't wait to buy it.

LOL oh yeah. I see what you mean. Nah I aint got no man. I hate niggas they get on my last nerve. I just threw the "R" in there don't know why lol...

I aint even know Saigon did a tape with Drama. There Drama goes again tryna steal Kay Slay's shine.

Holla at me. If not, see u on the next blog.

1

SLY BOOGY will smash on Saigon at any minute. Just listen to the track they recorded together two years ago on Sly Boogy's LP, "Judgement Day." The track is called "Ridiculous," and although Sai shined on this joint, SLY just came out hard and killed it. SLY BOOGY, that's a real lyricist.

yawwwwwwwwwwn. im tired.

Saigon really needs to put out his album FAST! And hopefully Papoose(it better be better then the shit he's been putting out recently) album comes out sometime before the end of the year.

If thats the real tracklisting then cool, but you can't judge a album by the tracklisting lmao.

I doubt it's coming out in September though...

Oh and also hope that the Nas album is better then Streets Disciple too...

To What's up with Nas. I have been to Africa big dog I have been to Mombasa Kenya and seen the situation which is an altimate reflection of the Capitolist regime of the people who run hip hop. Look at Jim Jones for instance you have a man who actually named himself after a man who poisoned his people and decided not to take any of it himself and was shot by an unknown person who saw what he was up to. Same with the dipshit jones putting out bs Club music and supposed ryder music and he doesn't even know the true Black Panther Meaning of Riding out. What's up with Nas; it is personal because you have been mislead if you don't see that Black people have been dancing in the clubs so much that they don't realize someone is taking everything they own in the parking lot. Giving them AIDS you worked In UN feed schemes wonderful!!! You also work for one of the largest organizations that play clientel to the prostitution problem in Africa PLAYA! HIP HOP IS AIDS PLAYA!!! If it ain't killing another Brown man it's convincing you to be more and more boldly Misaginistic and disrespect brown woman. Look around you DUMMY why do you think there is a problem in Africa and African America because too many cats just want to play the club. I read your little comments about Nas only having one hit, Your a Black Zombie, dancing to whatever sounds good not hearing the reality of the situation but playing a part in attempting to remedy or put a band aid on a bigger problem. YOU MUST LEARN, you ain't here in America and I'm not currently in Africa but the problems are reflecting like two mirrors facing each other. I'm a BK NIgga, An African, AN African American and a educated BLACK MAN, I see the plan you fail to see the move to destroy your people in the mother land and the europeans plan to move in. I see the plan to Make the US into a Military Industrial COmplex, wherein you have low socio-economic class soldiers fighting to push the agenda of globalists who (figuratively) put Aids into the water of the BLack and hip hop culture. You need to wake up, I see it like you see it but I ain't trying to dance my problems away or critic others who address the problem, becuase no matter how much money you make you still a Nigga to them, the people who print it can take it away remember that PLAYA!!! Don't think you dealing with some small minded individuals on this Post who won't check you on your comments while they show some assemblance intelligence are clearly limited to your lack of upbringing in a pure hip hop community. You a third Generation hip hop fan I been in this And In the heart of it since I was three break dancing. I seen it Begin I've seen it grow I've seen it in it's prime in 93 to 97 now I'm watching it's demise. SO this Is my requiem for Hip Hop "What's up with Nas?" Keep dancing and not paying attention to the plan and you''l be dead too. But let me digress you already a Black Zombie.

p.s Big up to exclusive bk and essex

All y'all motherfuckas on here always complainin' and shit about not hearin' real hip hop and shit, but all y'all do is sit at home in ur mother's guest room and bootleg cds and shit or y'all go to the nearest street corner and copp a bootleg off Ray Ray or some shit... if u wanna see real hip hop artists do good, then go to the fuckin' store and actually buy the fuckin' albums and STOP BOOTLEGGING!!!
