J.R Writer and Hell Rell... Can't Justify it, Diddy (Foolishly) Pays Homage to the South

Most people would never guess, but I find Dipset's mixtape cuts to be good money. It's not that I don't like their music, they just get on my nerves. When they say silly things like this, as taken from the August issue of XXL, it further reiterates the lack of respect they get for every time they put their foot in their mouths.
J.R Writer had something to say about Cam'ron and DukeDaGod's flopped The Movement Moves On. Apparently, he was trying to justify the reason for the album bricking and bursting into Billboard nonexistence after just a few weeks:
"Cam and DukeDaGod didn't even expect to move crazy units. They just put those out and fell back, because it's time to go hard body with me and Rell. That's their plan. And we can't lose with that."
Riiiiiight. And I'm Nas. Hell Rell continued with:
"It won't happen, but say J.R. and I do flop. I'm still going to be pushing nicer cars than most rappers and getting money. We already have paper, so that's not the concern here. As long as we make powerful music, the people will embrace us. Our money isn't going anywhere."
This dude sounds so silly, stupid and clueless. So like a "hood rapper" to brag about the things he has as a means to cover the fact that their sales are on brick mode. I’m not convinced by J.R and Rell’s lame defenses and excuses. These dudes need to get it together if they want the rap world ABOVE ground to take them seriously.
And for the record, J.R Writer's debut, History in the Making, couldn't have a more appropriate title. The self-proclaimed "writer of writers" has debuted as one of the lowest any rap act has done so far this year, with 30,000 copies sold right next to Cam and DukeDaGod's disappointment.
I'm not sure if Diddy's latest single "Get Off," which sounds like a runback of one of James Brown's old school cuts, has began to circulate on national radio just yet. Still, he gave a definition, via MTV.com, of what this song means: to dance in a candidly fashion. He elaborated by way of the Chicken Noodle Soup dance that's been on and poppin’ at the Kingdome and The Rucker in Harlem. Excuse all the unnecessary babbling:
"I was inspired by the hyphy movement and the crunk movement. I was like, 'Yo, New York has a movement that's been going on here for a long time that maybe people don't know.' It's like the sista of that. Like how crunk is the brother to hyphy, we got a movement. ... When kids hear something, they gotta release and get off and do their thing. This right here is that next-level, high-octane, that uncut, raw [version] of that. So what you seeing, that Chicken Noodle Soup, you seeing all that. This is something that's been going on in Harlem for a long time. This ["Get Off"] is the up-tempo version of that. Get your sweat on, get off."
Someone tell this dude to shut the hole in his face. How did these people inspire you when the snap dance is nothing but a ripoff of The Rocaway (aka The Lean)? Look at the Shake; NEW YORK has BEEN formulating dances to rap since day one, way before Lovebug Starski (some say DJ Hollywood) even came UP with the word "hip-hop."
Duke sounds corny. And you're only paying homage to the south because this kid has finally made your roster look more like an actual record label rather than a financial black hole. Whatever floats your boat.

Blowfly is the stage name and alternate persona of Clarence Reid (b. February 14, 1945 in Cochran, Georgia) who was a songwriter for many hit R&B acts in the 1960s and 1970s. As Blowfly, he has recorded numerous albums, mostly of sex-based parodies of other songs as well as original raps themed around sex. His stage name originated from his grandmother, who overheard him as a child singing "Do the Twist" as "Suck My Dick", and said "You is nastier than a blowfly."
Reid started off writing songs for artists including Betty Wright, Sam & Dave, and KC & the Sunshine Band. He also recorded a few hits of his own in the 60's including a song called "Rap Dirty" in 1965. Many hip hop fans consider "Rap Dirty" as the first rap song because in he talks in rhyme and it has rap (slang for talk) in the title.
Reid would write sexually explicit versions of hit songs for fun but only performed them for his friends at parties or in the studio. In 1971, he along with a band of studio musicians recorded a whole album of "dirty" songs under the name "Blowfly". Back then, no record label would release profane material so he distributed the records himself on his own independent record label, Weird World.
Blowfly's debut album, The Weird World of BlowflyThe album, The Weird World of Blowfly, features Reid dressed as a low-rent supervillain on its cover. Reid created this alter ego to protect his career as a songwriter. Reid continued to perform in increasingly bizarre costumes as his Blowfly character. The albums were widely popular in the South as "party records" in the 70's.
Many of Blowfly's songs featured his style of talking in rhyme which can be considered a primitive form of rapping. Many of his songs have also been sampled in numerous hip hop songs. After rap music hit the mainstream with Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper's Delight", Reid recorded a profane version of "Rap Dirty" titled "Blowfly's Rap". The song was a hit and helped the album, Blowfly's Party reach #26 on Billboard magazine's Black Albums chart and #82 on the Billboard Top 200 in 1980.
