Cam’ron released Killa Season on Asylum which houses record companies like Swisha House, Rap-A-Lot,etc. Asylum is a subsidary of Warner Music Group which is one of the major record labels like Sony, Universal Music Group etc.

This was not an independent release now Ice Cubes Laugh Now Cry Later was what you call an independent release. As far as him getting that often mentioned $6-8 a CD, I doubt it.
I would guess it’s closer to $1.50-2.50.

Back to the subject. It appears to me, that True Life is talking about Dipset. Particularly Jim Jones. The only thing I have a problem with rappers like True Life and Saigon, is they complain and talk but don't do anything themselves to help Hip Hop. Not only that their mixed messages aren't helping anything either. Instead of worrying about other rappers, and what they choose to do with themselves. They need to set an example, by dropping an album, and sort out those mixed messages, they give our youth (they're just as bad as the rappers they complain about talking about violence).

In True Life's case, who made him an expert. I honestly think he's using all this as a way to get at Dipset (we can all see through that). Bottom line, I'm not knocking these guys at all, for what they're saying or what they choose to do with themselves.

Just stop with the holier than thou, I'm realer than you attitudes, or thinking they got a right of passage (so to speak), because they did whatever in the streets (which it doesn't).
