I can't say Jay's outshining his artists...Bleek's the most unmotivated rich nigga in hip hop. How many times does he flop after high expectations? Even Dear Summer couldn't help Bleek put out a classic record...As far as Fab and Buddens go, they both are creating buzz with their own mixtapes, but the paperwork w/ Fab, just dried and if Buddens can put together a body of work like his Mood Muzik 2 mixtape, that shit will do better than his first album.

1) Niggas are WAYYY too lazy. Look at someone like Young Jeezy. Love him or hate him, the nigga has hustle in him. After he got signed to Def Jam - before the ink was even dry, he dropped his first mixtape "Streetz Is Watchin". Since he didn't even have a name, he gave away the first pressing. Niggas was passing them out for free at the club. He broke bread with DJ's so they'll play his shit in all the strip clubs. Eventually the CD caught on, and he even had a single on the radio (Ova Here feat. Bun B). After that, he started on his second mixtape "Trap or Die". He payed to have posters put up in clubs and on buildings to advertise the release date. Who in the hell adverstises the release date to a mixtape???? He dropped the mixtape, then started on more material with Boyz-N-Da Hood. Before you know it, niggas in Ga, Alabama, Memphis and other parts of the south were bumping Young Jeezy like he actually had an album out.

Moral Of The Story Is: Jeezy could have easily waited on Def Jam to promote his shit. Instead, he took his own advance money and pushed it himself through the streets. And that's what these other niggas are missing. They're too damn lazy. Like Ya'll said, Memphis Bleek is the perfect example of that. Now every album he drops has one quick video, then pockets the rest of the money instead of spending it on pushing the album. These old artists are married and content with being known, they ain't hungry anymore. I hate to break it to you but it isn't 1997. It's 2006, and just having talent isn't enough anymore. Most rap artists that get signed now already have a buzz. It's gotten that way because the industry is flooded with rappers. These niggas need to get on their grind, and show everyone - the execs and the consumer - that you're not just another rap album. If they'd stop bitching for more than 5 minutes they might wise up and see the problem.

So, when an American artist bashes the government, it means nothing. It's just...art. There's nothing spectacular about an American artist talking trash in...America. I was at the concert in the front row.. Lupe Fiasco was impressive. I honestly did not see what all the hype was about but after seeing the concert and getting the chi town guavera mixtape i realize that kid is pretty damn good. Kanye didnt show up WTF???!! but i dont care cuz common and rakim was what was truly incredible. seeing two of the best and my favorite rappers ever was incredible. Common's dj was the illest dj ive ever and may ever see in my life. Rhymefest deserves more credit as an artist that kid is nice.
