This whole Juelz Santana thing aggravated me.
First of all, Juelz getting dropped from Def Jam over Cam’ron? Yeah, right. Cam’s cosmetic ass is NOT that intimidating. Second, this thing about him getting dropped should be in question period. He DID go gold (though just barely) so he is an asset to the company, unless he did something absolutely out of this world. So why would they just up and drop him from the roster? Because he got his ass whupped? Nah. But then, why didn’t the publicist give a straight answer? We’ll see.
If anyone is getting dropped, it’s the employees at Def Jam Records. Sources say that supposedly Jay-Z said the numbers from Def’s previously dropped albums weren’t looking right and the artists were not the ones to blame; it was the people behind the scenes held responsible. He “axed a few people†(quoting) as a result of this. If the numbers for the artists don’t turn out as expected, someone’s gotta go. That's word from a source. Interesting if 100% accurate.
Speaking of such, Roc-A-Fella Records is getting busy. After flopping through the dead end department like Jay's chancletas more than once, Memphis Bleek is back on the map with a new album coming out soon. How soon? Don’t know. I will say that duke is a'ight as an artist. But if Swizz Beatz “The Monster†can't help him, then who can?
Speaking flops, will someone ban Mase from New York! I’m tired of hearing about his annoying ass and he’s misrepresenting Uptown; making us look like a bunch of washed-up fools.
You know everyone believes everything they hear and see about NYC. I can hear them now: "First he got ran out of Harlem for fear of being the next dead man, later proclaiming his vision to do God's work. Then he showed up on "106th and Park" three years ago, shamefully telling A.J and Free ‘that guy in that video wasn't me’ (one of his old vids they showed as an ‘Old School Joint’).
"THEN he came back with that Sesame Street joint "Welcome Back," gets dropped by Diddy (surprise, surprise), and reappears as Murda Mase in 50's "Window Shopper" vid with an oversized milkshake, smiling ear-to-ear like a goofy cheeseball. We know he's repping the "ATL" now. Well, guess what? Ain't nobody over here complaining, word. And why is he repping ATL? 'Cause he hears the streets in NY talking, and he figures he's no longer wanted as a rep for our city. He had already lost his street cred; there went half of your sales. Where's the rest? The younger kids don't remember you, and people my age see through your gimmicks and see you as the laughingstock, the butt of all jokes, the disgrace, the embarrassment to Harlem, the entire section of Uptown, and hell, maybe even the entire New York City.

Juelz is a GOLD artiste, never ben platinum, and GOLD artistes get dropped all the time. We're just speculating that's its because of the Jigga/Cam thing...BUT, it could be because they not seeing a bright future for him at Def Jam...Mediocre-ass-artistes get dropped all the time, the beef thing just makes it more pertinent in our eyes to drop him.
Honestly, Bleek isn't the answer for the ROC. Bleek is a hot one-verser, that's it. Neither is Tru Life. But the ROC is still around, i.e. Kanye, Beans...Fab should have always been a ROC artiste, that would've been a good look from the start.
Mase was my favorite rapper, when he ran, i switched to Jay-Z, but damn nigga! He's more of a confused G-Unit artiste than that Butterfly character...
