I think Remy seems a little more relatable to the female hip hop audience. I mean Remy talks about the whips and the chips like everybody else does but she seems to do it in a way that ya average block chick would. But her flow is right though, you cant knock it. She so ill I don't consider her the best female emcee but one of the best emcees period. She eat half these male emcees for lunch. This Week was one of the best albums to come out last year and was slept on by many. Lady of Rage is the second best. She has rhymes and metaphors that male emcees envy. With the right promotion Jean Grae and Rage could be running shit for females. Jean Grae is a better lyricist than Lauryn Hill and can also sing like lauryn though less polished. and I honestly I wasn't excited about it UNTIL the performances...

That had 2 have been,

Rem's show was okay but she really needs a new clothes and hair stylist.

The problem with hip hop right now is that no one is listneing ot the lyrics. You want to measure the greatness of an emcee on record sales. Emcees should be judged on flow and lyrics period. In that category I think Remy ma is average at best. I've heard a lot of great female emcees and she doesnt hold a candle to any of them. Lauryn, Rah Digga, Jean Grae, Lil Kim (just take the verse on quiet storm). No based on records sales or image or anything else. The reason Remy is not selling is that she has no personality no swagger. When she rhymes I just don't beleive what she is saying.
