Ain't nothin like soul food, and my spot is a soul food joint called Pepper Shakers on Poplar Level Road. Every artist knows that recording for hours is rough and when I break from the studio I get that grub. Catfish dinners, sweet potatoes, greens… they got all that over there. Sometimes I even eat in and just write. Chillin somewhere like that keeps you grounded cuz it ain't no glam over there. It just is what it is.
