Yo good look! i will keep these spots in mind. ill be in the CHI in april. my homeboy lives up there now and im going to visit and wild out for the weekend ...word! cant wait.
oh yeah thanks for the tip on the fitted i will mos def keep my shit real low and to the front...word!
Posted by: Just_Ice at March 17, 2006 3:00 PM
And while U're in the Chi, make sure U visit the West Side, and go 2 MacArthur's they got the BEST soul food in the city, U might run into R. Kelly getting his eat on kickin' it with some young tender, another spot I recommend is Scatchell's the BEST Italian Beef in the city, there's also Home Run Inn pizza, Damenzo's pizza last but not least, with Summer soon approaching, check out the Circle in Garfield Park, U're likely 2 come up with the busdowns, just make sure U got protection, because them chicks get knocked up VERY EASILY, but seriously, stay out of Wrigleyville, unless U're going 2 a Cubs game, I call it Faggot Town, and Eugene forgot to mention this; DO NOT WEAR ANY CUBS GEAR ON THE SOUTH SIDE! That's White Sox country, big up 2 the Champs!!
p.s. We got Harold's Chicken sprinkled on the West Side too, I would tell y'all where 2 find that Fire Green, but I don't want 2 incriminate anybody, I'm not a "snitch"
Posted by: That Dude 4 President at March 17, 2006 3:21 PM
to ThatDude.. thanks alot for the extra spots. i know it will be bannanas on this visit. hope to make it back in the summer also. how's the weather in april.is it still cold as shit or a little better?
oh and i will never wear a cubs hat at all. i dont even like the way the logo and colors look anyway.

Good word about keeping your hat straight niggaz ain't gang banging like they used to but if you caught in the wrong hood thats ya' ass...also check out I-57 barbecue on the south side by 92 halsted they got that fire and check al's beef on racine and taylor they got damn good italian beefs...as far as lookin' for some chicken heads check out jaguar on 147th and western the club don't look like much but the girls be good to go
Posted by: Maine-O at March 18, 2006 11:01 AM
Better yet, leave all your blue and red at home. Dress Neutral. No Duke, UNC, Georgetown, etc. Shits broke off to the side is opposite of west coast... right = folks, left = people. Most especially, GD and VL. Don't assume any high-level affiliation love either. Beef can be very localized and visious even within 5/6 umbrellas. No second chances on teh south and west side. Enjoy your stay, CHI is the best city on the face of the planet. Make sure to bring those ends down to the spots mentioned as well as N. Clark, and even Magnificent Mile for the classier shit. Mag Mile = muy tourista but still heavy Chicago flavor amongst the scrapers. 312 stand up.
