It use to Be one of the busiest Citys in the hampton Rd area til riots drove all the Jewz and there Money out of the area. the Downtown is waterfront property. and everybody knw dat back in the dayz all them cities that were near the water as poppn. it still is the home of one of the biggest ship building companys in the county.

the name Badnewz was reborn in the mid to late 80's due to the increase in crime and drugs in the area.
