Ain't nothin like soul food, and my spot is a soul food joint called Pepper Shakers on Poplar Level Road. Every artist knows that recording for hours is rough and when I break from the studio I get that grub. Catfish dinners, sweet potatoes, greens… they got all that over there. Sometimes I even eat in and just write. Chillin somewhere like that keeps you grounded cuz it ain't no glam over there. It just is what it is.

Yo, I from the hood not Newburg, Victory Park representing. And the best soul food was Pices of Louisville that used to be on 18th and Oak. But since that closed Finley's BBQ on 15th and Broadway is the best soul food in the city, HANDS DOWN
