What Is Murder Inc. Guilty Of?
Finally the prosecution comes out with some hard numbers against Irv and Chris Gotti Lorenzo. SOHH reports that the prosecution presented evidence that Supreme was taking expensive trips under a fake name on the Murder Inc. tab, while the company was receiving large sums of unexplained cash deposited in their bank accounts.
It's hard to sayif this proves the money was coming from Preme and being laundered through Murder Inc, however with that large of a sum of money exchanging hands, something illegal was going on.
Here's one defense scenario I dreamed up-
The cash being sent to Murder Inc. was liquid concert money. 10 G's for a show here, 5 G's for a club appearance there. No big deal.
And Preme's expensive trips? Hey, it's common for a rap crew to take care of their own. Can you punish Irv for friendship?

the inc is guilty of money laundering...u can't explain all of those cash flows...but I will admit...the prosecution should have put together a better strategy because the defense have been making them look like idiots...
but as we all know..in a court of law..all u need is one thing to stick and the jury will find something to convict on...

Fujitive brings out some good points. But when do we start to expect more from these hip hop artist? and promote the Artists that have something to say that is positive.We need make artist such as the Mos Def- Black moons, Kanye's and Roots more stylish and more acceptable to be bumped at the clubs and in the Hood.
I do admit that Hip hop goes in cycles- I just hope these white kids start to pick up on more positive forms of Hip Hop-(the unfortunate thing is a majority of positive Hip hop white kids probably can't relate too. Gangster rap is entertainment for White suburban kids - for Black kids they try to imulate the lifestyle that they hear in the music (which is fantasy to an extent)(If you are a successfull rapper- you cannot tell me that you are still pushing weight in the neighborhood)THAT'S JUST STUPID!
Black kids need to understand that right now hip hop is as fake as wrestling!(IF YOUR ASS GETS THROWN IN JAIL IT'S YOUR OWN FAULT FOR THINKING YOU CAN DO WHAT 50 OR ANY HARDCORE GANSTER HAS DONE BEFORE THEY BECAME FAMOUS-Half them raps are lies anyway!
