Within 7 days, I started getting money in my paypal account! I was shocked! I figured it would end soon, but the money just kept coming in. In my first week, I made about $20.00. By the end second week I had made a total over $1,200.00!!! In the third week I had over $10,000.00 and it's still growing. This is now my fourth week and I have made a total of just over $36,000.00 and it's still coming in rapidly. It's Certainly worth $6.00. I have spent more than that on the lottery!! There have been many many many outlandish coments that I have read on this page but to say that 50 Cent is the best rapper to hold the mic is the worst of all. I'm not an anti-50 Cent advocate like many other people on this page. In fact I purchase his music, which I can't say for a lot of other artists. 50 is not really a lyricist which you must take into consideration when picking the "best rapper" (or maybe I should say "emcee"). He has said himself "I'm a great song writer" maybe you should call him the best songster to hold a mic, "go shorty it's ya birthday", (right next to Ja Rule). Not saying that he isn't a rapper which he most definately is, just not the best. I will say this he is a very good rapper, "How to Rob" is an extremely creative and entertaining rap song. I also like many others..."Military Disipline", "Guns", "Lay you down", "Heat"...but I can see where the hating comes from. "The Massacre" was a somewhat dissapointing album for a HipHop fan like myself. "God Gave Me Style" is one of the worst rap songs I've ever heard. 50 also tends to say some borderline crazy shit (excuse my french), "I'm fully responsible for Game's success" - 50Cent. Which provide justification for the vehement hate.

The Lox have every right to be upset with Puffy. Reason being, is that he was already compensated when they left. Once their Bad Boy contract was bought out (sure there were some Puff demands), they were no longer his artist. Once their services were bought out from Bad Boy, he was not suppose to hold on to their publishing, except for the work they did with Bad Boy. Most likely the reason he' gets half their publishing now, is because he put corporate wording in that contract, which they most likely did not see or he put in corporate jargon that was presented as one thing but meant something else, and that's how he had them hooked.

The reason they have every right to be upset, is because they are no longer Bad Boy artist, haven't been for 8 years. But he still gets paid off of their future works, although he has no involve ment with their careers. I could see if they were still Bad Boy artist, then he would have a right to some publishing and money made off their works. Once their contract was bought out from Bad Boy, their publishing and other rights, should have been relinquished to them and Ruff Ryders/Interscope.

Everybody was asking about the lawyers. That's one way Puff snakes you. Whenever Puff gets an artist to Bad Boy, he hires his legal team to look over the paper work. He strongly advises his staff, to not let the artist get outside council.Therefore, his team will be looking out for him. He also words his contracts crazy. He makes it look good on paper with the wording (legal jargon) but it means something totally different from what you're reading.

The Lox did nothing wrong. They've been having that tug of war with Puff behind the scenes for 8 years now. They've tried to catch dude with their team to do some meetings and talk in mediation. However, he would always duck and dodge them. When they did schedule some meetings with him, nothing would happen. Either he'd have his people tell them, he wasn't there. They'd tell them to leave messages and he wouldn't respond. Whenever they would try and talk/negotiate he would reject it.

Since they got tired of the ducking and running around, they took it to the people. Like they said, their artist (that's their job). That's how they voice their opinions and thoughts/fustration. Through the music, and through the media outlets.

Yes, Puff is a snake and no he's not the only one. However, more artist are speaking up about the politics of the industry. Compared to years ago. DMX was another artist speaking (or as you guys call it crying) about the industry and how shady it was. DMX talked about how he was done by Def Jam. That is the very reason why DMX new album was pushed back. He was seriously dissing and going against Def Jam and the majors/industry. He even made a song about it. So, the Lox are not the only ones. About 80% of these artist are being done that way.

Multi-plat artist are going through the same thing too. Best believe just because you sell 8 million records you can't be jerked or getting a raw deal. TLC was a perfect example of that. They sold 10 million records, yet they had to file for bankruptcy. Those plaques and sales really do mean nothing. In the words of Left Eye "You can sell 10 million records and be broke." Unfortunately, a lot of these artist have ended up like that. All these plaques and awards, but nothing to show for it.

The Lox and their situation with Interscope currently. They never said they were leaving, they never said they were retiring either. Let's get that clear. They said they stopped their recording process until they get their meeting with Jimmy Iovine and discuss some things. Which they did get and is getting things worked on at Interscope.

Back to Puff. He really tried to spin this around and gloss things over, to save face because he was exposed.He was really double talking and avoiding questions that would show him up. The only thing I agree with him with, is that he made an investment. However, he was compensated and rewarded over too many years for that.

Are the Lox broke? No way. They are not starving. Did you not hear them say they were financially stable? That's right, they are comfortable (trust me on that one). They just want what's theirs. They don't want to leave no labels, they don't want nothing else. They just want this situation ended after 10 years.

Everybody keeps bringing up 50 Cent. For one, this has nothing to do with him. Since everybody wants to hop on the beef hype. The beef between 50 and the Lox is not a real beef. Not at all. The situation with the LOX is unfortunate, these brothers are trying to learn from a mistake that they made early in their career. I believe as an artist and a businessman that Puffy should release their publishing on 2 reasons.
1. That money is chump change to puff. He blows 300,000 just on throwin parties.

2. It is unethical to hold their money after 10 years. They need it to continue thier professional career.

We so often say that they just signed a contract, but we need to review the fact that these guys were straight out of High School when they signed this deal. And for those who watched making the Band, should remember how puff rushed Da Band into signing the contract without their lawyer being present.

Now, let's see...they did one album with Puffy, who at the time was was mostly concernewd with pushing BIG, didn't really market them well and the album only did marginallly. Then BIG passed, and were pretty much on the shelf and they were fighting to get out of the deal, because BIG gone puffy was more interested in sequins and shiny suits. Not their style so wanted off, RR to the rescue. A good place for them because the artist line was str8 from streets like them.

This is where the contract comes in, they weree let go to RR, for a sum and and a certain amount of options and royalties. After 10 that shit is like slavery. I know it;s a contract but what your motivation to get up every day and grind and give somenone half your loot for doing nothing? no marketing, no beats, no management, nada? I mean it's contract but like Kiss said, it's definitely worth killing over. How would you feel if you owned a store and had to hit the popo off with 505 each week so you can be protected? Let me break it down plain and simple.

Once their contract was brought out from Bad Boy, Puff should have relinquished their publishing to them and Ruff Ryders. Yeah, I already know when a label lets you go, you have to bargan something and there are some exchanges, but their publishing Puff should not be holding on to. Especially since they were no longer going to be his artist. I could see if they were recording for Bad Boy still, but they aren't. He should've let that go with them to Ruff Ryders/Interscope. He shouldn't be getting 300K off top, every time they drop a solo now. Just my personal opinion.

The Lox [b]DID[/b] take the blame first and foremost for signing the contract. They already said and acknowledged that. However, Puff ain't a saint. So don't start acting like he's one now. I'm not saying dude is totally or all wrong, because he is a label owner and CEO. He did make an investment. He did issue a contract. However, he was compensated, and had some exchanges for letting them go.

Everybody keep saying lawyers this, read that. First off, entertainment lawyers are expensive as hell. Most new artist won't have the cash or retainer fees to afford competent representation. That is where label appointed lawyers come in. Just because you get a lawyer, doesn't mean they can't be crooked either. A lot of them are in it to get a nice chunk off of you too. Just like the managers. As for Puff, he always hires [b]his[/b] legal team to do the contracts with potential artist he signs. Therefore he nor his legal team will be looking out for you.

Last but not least, the Lox are not brain dead. They had plenty of years and time to examine and go over their paper work to know what is going on. The only reason Puff is put his spin on it to make them look bad, is to save his public reputation/image. Which is most important to him. The only thing they want is to get what's theirs back.

P.S. To all folks saying they're broke. Did you not hear them say they were financially stable (believe me, they aren't lying about that)? Their stash is definately comfortable. Them dudes get their stash and dividens from ghostwriting and writing for other artist (behind the scenes is where it's really at). They also make a killing on their guest apperearences on other people's records (do you know how many guest spots they've done and how many guest spots they've done on big artist records). That's why you heard Styles say, a lot of hit records we are repsonsable for. That's because they write them.

The LOX need to be level headed about the situation. They're claiming that Diddy stole from them or that what he is doing is "wrong".
