If you are going to give a person the death penalty then kill them right away. They say that jail is there to change a person and it did for him, people can change. It is not right for him to be put in jail for life, change, and then be put to death. I think that it is only natural for a killer to seek mercy when he himself is facing death. I am too divided about tookie's excutuion. I believe he is a re-formed man and he actually could sway young kids from getting involved in gangs but at the same time he did kill a FEW people. What if he escapes excutuion? what does that say to youg gangbangers out there. Some may argue that because he started the crips that murders that the crips committed are indirectly his fault. The Black Truth, I read about situations and I have had an uncle and aunt killed for no reason and the person is still in prison doing 50+years. We the fam could had demanded the death penalty and pushed for it, but life was better than death. Death is the easy way out of this earth, living with your crime is the hardest thing that any human being will go through. If you push for death, you are doing them a favor, if you push for life, at least they can have a chance to do some good and reedeem themselves for the crimes they commited. That's just like you sin, cuss lie, steal, cheat. It's all the same. But should you be put to death for those sins? To be real, child molestors need to be put to death because the child has to live with the pain that he/she was violated and molested.
