I must be out of touch too, because I don't know the definition of snitching either. Silly me thought it was pretty much what this dude said, ""We're speaking about people who didn't see crime and they give information to the police. It's a difference between a witness and a snitch."

Now if someone is hustling and making money and you decide to inform the cops about someone hustling, then that's snitching. Witness is when a murder or an act of violence has occured and you happen to see it. Snitching means to tell on someone, no matter the circumstances.

People need to realize "snitch" and "snitching" is a term drug dealers, gang members, thieves, and murderers made. It's a demeaning word they've used to prevent people from reporting their activities. Through giving it a negative association, less people report them because they don't want to be labeled something negative and treated like an outcast for it.

Drug dealing, gang banging, stealing, and murder are all wrong. We are taught this things as children. Eventually, we all grow up and some of us start to lose sight of right and wrong. Their visions blurs out of a sense of desperation. That doesn't make those actions any less right or justified. We don't have the right to make our lives better at the expense of others.

Criminals do what they do, knowing it's wrong. People who commit crimes say they had to do it to survive, it's too late to turn back, that they don't believe they have a choice in the matter. The truth is, we all do. You always have a choice. Life is about choices.

The past cannot be changed. The future doesn't always go according to plan. However, we all have the moment, the chance to make something better of ourselves. It might sound corny, but it is the truth. No matter what anyone tells you, you have a say in who you are and what you become. You can be weak and give in to the despair. Or, you can be strong and fight it, to be better than what you are.

Taking the life of another person is wrong. Selling drugs to people and turning them into fiends is wrong. Stealing something that doesn't belong to you is wrong. Joining a gang because your too pathetic to fight your own battles is wrong. These actions are those of people who have given up on life and themselves. They should not stricken from the persecution of the courts because of a mere word.

The justice system might not be perfect, but it is the one majority of people in this nation has agreed upon to ensure the safety of our society. Street justice isn't justice. It's simple vengeance. Nothing more. Nothing less. Vengeance isn't something we as human beings should practice on one another. We shouldn't discourage witnesses from coming forward. Or else, we're taking away the right to justice for victims and their families.

Someone listed an example where you saw a murderer commit the crime. What if you didn't? What if someone told you who did it? What if that person was lying out revenge or anger or their own interest? What if the person was basically mistaken? You then go and kill someone who was innocent. Murder cannot be overturned. A jury verdict can.

Surely, you might believe that person did it. However, you can be wrong. We all can. Even in the case that you know the person is guilty because you did see the murderer, then what? You kill them? Well, what if someone decides to kill you to avenge their murder? We don't have the right to play judge, jury, and executioner. We are not Gods, nor should we pretend to be.

Yes, I do hold my own and yes I do fight alot and I have sold drugs. A real job is alot easier in my opinion.
Me and my boys got into a fight on the last day of school with these other wanksta ass niggas and one of my boys got knocked unconsious and stomped on his head while he was knocked out. My other boy came and knocked the dude who was stomping on my other nigga out. I was also holdin it down. They all got up and ran away. We couldn't run because our boy was on the floor knocked out and the cops came and said we couldnt leave until we gave them a report. All they wanted to know was "who were you fighting with". So all i said was like "i dont remember". Then they showed me a list of all there names and pictures according to witnesses and all i said was "i fought with all of them, i hit him and he hit me etc..." I didnt press charges and im not going to court. I called the DA 3 times to make sure that Im not pressing charges. I did all this knowing that if it was the other way around, them niggas would have snitched on me. The only thing i have is a fuckin order of protection becuase the state is making it mandatory that I have one. I tried to get that dropped and they told me "its not your choice anymore", its the states. "

Now, when I came back to school I wore my "stop snichting" shirt but motherfuckers keep telling me to do what my shirt says. Fuck them. I should have fucking snitched, fucking ungrateful ass niggas...These fucks probably know that I didnt snitch cuz the T.O.P paper says I can get niggas in trouble if anyone is harrassing me.

Lesson Learned : If you aint gonna snitch, make sure that the niggas your not snitching on aint gonna do you dirty and tell people you did. I might as well have snitched. The order of protection says I can call them If ANYONE of their freinds says ANYTHING to me. I still dont snitch on them.

If anybody with any experience in these matters can answer this question then I would appreciate it....
What should I do? Should I snitch and be grimey about it or should I fuck them up or should I just get myself a gun and let whatever has to happen happen? Im scared that they might snitch on me.

I was raised and live in the ghetto and have seen my share of dead kids, teenage hookers, gang bangers, crackhead neighbors, welfare queens, welfare kings, and I guess you get the point...What I'm trying to say is that this shirt is only reinforcing what people already think of us.
