You have some good points. The whole thing with "soft-ass club bangers" is what's called the conversion of hip hop to the main stream. I'm not so sure about the "ending careers left and right" thing, though. People aren't taking 50 as seriously as they during the beef with Murder Inc., mostly because Fat Joe, Jadakiss, and Nas are all veterans that command a very large following despite album sale statistics. Fat Joe is one of the main representatives of big name Latino hip hop. Nas said 50 isn't worthy enough for him to diss, that's even more insulting than if he would make a diss track. And Jadakiss, the boy's ill, that Made U Look remix hot!

Cassidy does suck. HE SUCKS. He is great at writing punchlines in WRITTEN freestyles. A freestyle is supposed to be off the top of the head. You can tell his shit, his punchlines are written. It's even been reported that his shit is written. He's all Punchlines. He's not top 5 lyrically or top 100. A great rapper needs the ability to craft hooks, punchlines, metaphors, etc. 2pac, Hov, Biggie, Nas, Eminem, Rakim. THose are truly great lyricists. All Cassidy does is do punchlines w/o any type of flow. THAT'S NOT HOT. THAT AIN'T GOOD. You have to flow a lil bit then drop a punchline. Fabolous, Luda, Banks, they've all got that mastered. "It was Written" isn't just the name of Nas's cd, it's also a way of describing any of Cassidy's "legendary" freestyles. All that shit is written out. Let me spell this out for you Cassidy dickriders: Punchline+punchline+punchline= NOT HOT. A great lyricist is more than a punchline. Cassidy has mastered the art of a punchline. He's like a boxer who does nothing but come out swinging to knock you out with an uppercut. That ain't how it works. You have to come out wit a jab and some hooks and then a few KO uppercuts. Cass is nothing but Punchlines (uppercuts). Good on the freestyle and Battles; no doubt. But good lyrically/top 5? don't make me laugh. He ain't even close. First of all I'm gonna say that cassidy does hav hot punchlines and he be killin it on the mixtapes. But when it comes to makin albums so far he aint shit. Its a lot harder to make a great album then a great freestyle. His biggest problem is that he talks like hes the greatest of all time and that he has ended lots of careers. Thats why niggaz dont want to give him credit because his eago is too big and he thinks hes invincible.
