So last night, The Mixtape Awards gave Smack DVD The Best DVD Magazine Award for the year.
IMHO, not SOHH...
If you're from New York, I guess Smack DVD might be your only choice, but I've seen way better produced Hip-Hop DVD's than that. Smack is good if you want to see some grimey kids spitting 96 bars back n' forth and some dirty interviews. But that's all Smack has to offer.
I'm not hating on Smack 'cause I own mad Smack DVDs and will probably continue to cop them, but IMO The Raw Report is way tighter. The Raw Report which is made out of ATL has much better editing and the interview style is better too. I would have voted for them, but on the Mixtape Awards ballot, Best DVD Magazine wasn't a selection. Hmm...
Hustle Up DVD is hot too
I've never seen the Raw Report, however Smack is def the best mixtape mag in New York.

Cheddar dvd is the hottest dvd magazine out on the streets right now...Smack is my dudes for the streets but for all around hip hop Cheddar Money & Hip Hop dvd magazine is burning the streets. All them other magz take months to drop a dvd sometimes and some of them already fell off after the first drop... www.cheddardvd.com

SMACK DVD Magazine is the hottest hip-hop street dvd. Never heard of Raw Report or Hustle Up and that right there is a problem.
I've never heard of any of those other DVD magazines. Maybe no other magazines were there as an option because they don't compare.
And if you really feel that SMACK shouldn't have won the award... ask the ARTIST. They all love SMACK.
None of them mention any other DVD Magazine. They get on the radio and mention SMACK.
You the only one, other than people that work for those other magazines that will say SMACK isn't the best. Bullshit DVD Magazines be out there filming saying that they are SMACK just to get the interview. LAMES!!!!!
yo you're crazy kid. smack is the best hands down it gives you nothin but the street. it keeps it the realest: battles, interviews, just showin you cats in there real state not all shiny suited up
HUSTLE UP DVD MAGAZINE, is entertaining, professional and has interesting interviews. They have great interviews with high profile hip hop artist. This DVD is going to blow up in the streets and in the commercial stores. I cant wait to the 2nd issue

they got 3 new jump offs dropping the end of spring 2005 i saw the trailers and trust me smack raw report and eveybody else should be afraid!!!
