Things I Would Change About Hip Hop

1. I would change the fans. The Hip Hop fans (can I even call them that anymore) just aren't the same today. I would have them go back to when a fan was just a fan. They wouldn't be all caught up in that soap opera/image type stuff. They just listen to the music and accept it for what it really is.

2. I would change radio. The reason radio is so bad now days, is because the media concglomarates and the radio programmers have the same 10 songs spinning 50 times every 30 minutes. Not only that payola. So I'd change radio, get some stuff played that normally won't get played.

3. I'd changed how the industry is set up. In oterwords, corporate and labels. In other words, these labels and executives. They really don't take risk anymore. If they did, a lot of them would pay off.

My Proposal

1. Every "GOOD" artist that wants to blow up, gets a fair shake in proving themselves and not with the blackballin that goes along with it.

2. Fair radioplay, stop all this payola laced songs that are wack and put songs in what the people want to hear. Let everyone that is worthy be given a chance to get thier muzik out there.

3. Record Deal percentages in a new artist from 2% to 8-10% and if they go platinum, 10%+ in royalties. Also a conditional cause, they must go platinum. Let's look at the record labels, they have to put up millions to promote theri artist, it's only fair that the artist reach platinum or good gold (750,000) status. Allow the artist to have most of the creative control.

4. Stop all the silly bickering beef!!! If you have to diss someone (50 Cent) to sell records, then you are not really a talented artists. Talented artist do not have to use beef i.e. (the Death Row Pac) to boost record sales, "real fans" are going to love your music if they feel that you are being honest and creative with your craft. If one artist can help another "GOOD" artist, it would be wonderful. And not helping artist like "St.Lunatics" exclude Nelly and Murphay Lee, P$C excluding T.I., D/12, excluding Proof and Em,.
