Dave Chappelle will be on Oprah today spilling his guts about what turned him crazy why he stepped away from his hit TV show and millions of dollars.
I will live blogging the show, so expect this post to be updated every other minute while the interview is happening.
What do you think Chappelle will talk about, anyway? Will he admit to drug use, put Charlie Murphy on blast, or announce his conversion to Islam? Will he talk about the Chappelle Theory or his old skits where he's getting Oprah pregnant?

4:05 The show is on and it looks like Chappelle is pensive and Oprah has to pull answers out of him. He's putting most of the blame on Comedy Central for trying to grab creative control from him in the third season. Dave says they were wrong about the direction of the show 100% of the time.
4:10 Oprah shows the famous skit where Dave finds he's made Oprah pregnant. Oprah is good sport and enjoys watching the video.
When Oprah presses about what made Dave walk he plays coy and says, "I was doing material that was funny, but was socially irresponsible".
4:15 Dave reveals that the first straw was when he was doing a skit where anytime someone called someone a slur without saying the word a pixie in blackface would appear. He got a laugh from one of the staff that wasn't a "laugh with me", but a "laugh at me". This is when he considered that some people may be taking his comedy the wrong way, and he says he didn't want to let down Black people.
4:20 Dave says the second tipping point was when the press started printing things like he was sick, or had writers block. He figured his own circle was leaking false stories to the press in order to pressure him.
4:26 Dave doesn't like the phrase "go crazy" but Oprah points out that leaving the country without telling your wife is prettyy crazy. Oprah asks if it was the fame and Dave says: "It's not the fame, but the way people around you position themselves to get in your mind and your pockets. It's infuriating." It's not the fame, he loves the fame, he says. He loves being on TV.
4:31 Dave speaks on Neil Brennan, his long time friend and co-writer "If he was that concerned about me, then I didn't get the call." He is angry that Brennan told the press Dave is not well.
(I noticed Dave has a clenched fist while discussing this).
Oprah: Were you paranoid? "Sure. What is Black man without his paranoia attack?", Dave says.
4:33 Did you go to a metal hospital in Africa? "Who goes from America to Africa for medical attention?", Dave says.
4:37 Dave feels like "they" got him. Like he's sold out. "Why do they put every Black man in a dress eventually?" He goes on to explain how he was pressured to wear a dr did a Martin Lawrence movie, and feels it's somewhat a conspiracy against Black actors.
4:44 What circumstance will bring Dave back to his show. If he can make the proper work environment, but more importantly give his half of the DVD money to a charity. "I'm trying to unload this money back to the people who supported me."
Oprah warns against making that type of promise on TV. Dave steps back and says slyly: "I didn't say I was going to, I said I want to."
4:50 Now they're hyping the Block Party movie. Cameras followed Dave around as he gathered up people to come to a mega block party in Brooklyn where Kanye West, The Fugees and others performed. Or something like that.
