All I hear is Jay-Z this, and Jay-Z that

Jay-Z must be taking lessons from the Dame Dash School of Self-Promotion. While Bleek's "534" flip-flops into a trivia question (quick- what album did Jigga's "Dear Summer" appear on?), his boss is content with having his own name plastered on the wires daily.

I'm sure ya'll heard in the news that Jay-Z is richer than P. Diddy, and he's offering an internship at Def Jam, and he's all over Foxy's album, and so on. Not to mention his appearance at Summer Jam, or his remix of Kanye's "Diamonds" song, or the rumors that he has the sniffles and it may develop into a cold.

I can't be mad at the press though for all these Jay-Z stories. It's already mid-June and we still don't have an official Summer anthem (what's good Nelly and Luda, Fat Joe and The Neptunes??). So, until the rest of hip-hop steps up I guess the media will continue reporting on old favorites like Jay-Z, and weekly predictions that Reggaeton and Grime are "THE NEXT BIG THINGS."

Hip Hop lives again thanks to Kanye and Common, please no more wack ass rappers telling us how much of a hustler they are (get a job looser!)or how much cake they got! (invest in black business) not all hip hop needs to be preechy but damn enough with the retarded rhymes already!

KAY Z IS THE GREATES SO ANYTHING ABOUT HIM IS GOOD.

He has deserved all the press he is recieving. People hate on Jigga to much. really some of these artists are wack. they have no creativity no point. And by the way Reasonable Dout is one of the best albums ever hip hop. And maybe just maybe the best of all time. some people just don't respect greatness. "You gotta respect the game, that should be it, what you eat don't make me shit." - Jay-Z

Thank you BADMAMA, perfect quote. Y'all niggas are wasting to much energy defending or hating on this man. Just respect that he is doing his thing right now because either way y'all ain't making a dime off that nigga whether he is winning or losing.

Yo fuck 2Pac....!, only reason niggas on his dick cause he dead....why he wasnt getting sooo much admiration when he was here? OF COURSE NOBODY ON YOUR BLOCK HAS A BENTLEY GT, IS DATING BEYONCE, OR HAS THEIR OWN CLOTHING LINE/RECORD COMPANY/FILM COMPANY/VODKA BRAND. JAY-Z IS THE EPITOME OF WHAT EVERY HUSTLER STRIVES TO ACCOMPLISH AND IMITATE, GOING LEGIT. DON'T HATE HOVA FOR BEING THE BEST RAPPER ALIVE.

Leave my man Jigga alone, he's doing good in the hood. What Nas is doing, nothing, is he being a generous person, nope except when it comes to falsehood knowledge

PEACE

Greetings people. There seems to be confusion over the degree to which humanity's uniqueness to make decisions via willpower versus instinctual innate decisions is understood. To not like a particular rapper (oh forbid some are mistaken for artists when actually many are savagely venting the rawest of unresolved emotions) is to exercise one's divinity in the sense that if Jay-Z, the "God-emcee" (blasphemy mind you) is able persuade others to adopt his apathy enough to say full on to the perpetuation of crack to the crack fiends, then surely those of us who do not agree with his morals positioning have a right to disagree as will bearing mortals, at least, AT LEAST.

The apathy of Jay-Z is due to his resentment towards never having been treated as special by anyone in particular, aside from family, no more than for what people could get out of him, or what he could do for people. Self-esteem suffers greatly from such neglect in the presence of vulturistic opportunists, females included hence Jay-Z's preoccupation with berating women in general.

One may wonder what the future of Beyonce' is in the face of such truth. Like Cee-Lo from Goodie MOb said on the intro to their second album "Still Standing" track #1 "The Experience", "I thought you said you was the g-o-d, huh?, sound like another n*gga to me, huh? I thought you said you was the g-o-d, huh?, sound like another n*igga to me."

Its straight blasphemy when a so-called emcee that patterns his name after the deity of a religious denomination and then promotes hopelessness to the rebirthing of themselves as a heartless emcee that justifies pumping drugs whatever they are because the so called fiends are supposed to be worthless. What? Someone went left somewhere. Case in point New Jack City, Gee Money says to Nino Brown, "Am I my brothers keeper?" twice he says it. Only to be killed by Nino Brown. God is Love desires mercy not sacrifice. We not angry at Jay-Z, we understand the selfish motivations behind his persona. When you have felt as small and belittled as Jay-Z has, the only recompense sometimes only comes from making others feel smaller than self.

Even if they are crackheads, like on Sugar Hill, Ray Nathan killed he and Romello's father. Ray Nathan was like he put their father out if his misery and Romello was like "Who gave you the right?" as if to say that a person is still a person and everybody is somebody to somebody. A person may to be "just" a crackhead to everybody else, but they are somebody's mother, father, sister, brother, cousin, aunt, or uncle or grandparents in some cases.

Jay-Z is so emotionally damaged that's it's a shame and yet it doesn't justify two wrongs to make a right, ya dig? Jay-Z is damaged goods believe it or not because he is still not satisfied with all of his money and his retirement status. Jay-Z was never going to retire he just pulled the ol' Coca-Cola, then New Coke, then Coca-Cola Classic. Jay-Z feeds of feeling needed, he's empowered off of other people's dependency since the days of peddling crack or accessory to it. He only retired, knowing he wouldn't stay in retirement, so he could rerelease himself and juice the jock-riders for accolades. It's no surprise that band-wagoning people, that label exercisers of their will power as "haters", *sigh*, would be so predictable after a nearly 2-year hiatus. To even Hate a thing, one must have passionately cared deeply for a thing once upon a time. Y'all can call us "Haters", we interpret it as passion. Like Ghostface said "Tyson bit Holyfield's ear, We Love the sport."

To all the drones that keep on hollering, "you hatin'" this, "oh you a hater" that, can that garbage, if people agreed with everything that was released on the market to be sold, we'd all be a bunch of conceding drones. To all those people who do not have the passion to think outside of the box, don't stifle those of us who humanely do. Like Common said on "The Sixth Sense" of the "Like Water For Chocolate" album "If I don't like it, I don't like it, that don't mean that I'm hatin'", ya dig? When you don't exercise your right to decide for yourself, even if it means you disagree, you lose your right to chose. A few people sound like they are married to Jay-Z, good luck then, because Beyonce' wants him as a "Soldier" and she still can't get him to commit after 2 years. Some marriages don't even last that long.

It's amazing how cats ride Jay-Z's bozack when he's running interference for Beyonce'. Oh well. One is for certain and that is as long as Jay-Z is being pampered by the "Hater"-Haters (see how some agree to disagree, who said it was wrong) He'll continue to "dumb-down" the music as he admitted on "Moment of Clarity". Mind you, only a d*mmy would still claim to be a fan of Jay-Z when he admits to playing the faces of his core audience because he knows they'll buy the garbage anyway. We don't know about you all, but we don't like watered down Kool-Aid, and when you jock-ride Jay-Z, Jay-Z and his band of platinum and Kristaled-out, hapless merry men should be able to at least afford the sugar, AT LEAST. After Jay-Z dropped "Moment Of Clarity" and people still hung on, he knew he had some suckers and he knew just how to play some of the people all the time, or all of the people some of the time, even if he couldn't play all the people all of the time. He's back at any rate, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding round two from out of "retirement" (yeah right).

Tupac is not an issue, he's already established, hence, "a soldier dies once, a coward dies a thousand deaths". We don't numerically nominate emcees because some play center-field, left-field, first-base, third-base (3rd Bass), short-stop, etc. or even the pitcher (just to get the other cats to swing) depending upon their area of specialization. Jay-Z doesn't even remotely rival all that Tupac spat up 'til he was 24 years old not to mention the entire body of music he composed as an ARTIST, a classification most emcees have yet earned or even apper to strive for which is why many are not worthy of mention. While Jay-Z and the ROC and their subsidiaries of whoever are glorify the decadence of the ghetto red hot, just remember "Brenda's Got A Baby". That joint alone deals with the mind, the body, and the soul.

Jay-Z couldn't give hoot about any of y'all riding his tip because that's what his fan's love him for, that fact that he could care less for a chick and even less for the male groupies. BIG was supposed to be his BOY, and even Nas saw how he was easily discarded a la, "First Biggie's your man, then you got the nerve to say that you better than BIG, d*ck-sucking lips, won't you let the late, great veteran live". Who out there is closer to Jay-Z than BIG was that thinks Jay-Z gives a rat's a** about their consumership, ha, if you bought it, you did it because you needed it like the fiends needed the crack, suckers.

And for the record, we appreciate Jay-Z, we don't jock ride, yet we appreciate the dude and we understand the motivation behind his lax moral-positioning. See, Jay-Z has potential. He said he dumbed his music down because it sold more units that way. Cool, that makes sense, because he knew who was tripping over what elements of his first album and he knew what to concentrate on for the sake of lucrativity.

We do not hate Jay-Z for what he does because he who runs away lives to fight another day, Naw, we do not truly have a problem with Jay-Z so much as we are upset with the masses of jock-riders to whom Jay-Z caters to, see when they reach the level of total appreciation for the entirety of "Reasonable Doubt" then Jay can get back to the business of making those lyrical thrillers that were of depth. Like "D'evils", where the conscience of one's humanity or heart was weighed as if against the ideal of a feather on the scale versus against the many kilos that almost justify any whim of heart and mind, yet of consequence to the weary spiritted. The potential of Jay-Z remains there as the diamond of the ROC under unrefined coal, yet even moreso than the diamond under the coal, is that within the diamond that takes time to mine, that yields a wit sharper than glass, able to magnify souls, yet who will break the mold that the better may unfold? When Jay-Z returns this time, maybe he won't turn back from the lyrical integrity that opened the door in the first place.

Nas helped you up, maybe he can help you out, assist each other and others, you should. Regardless if you all turn your backs like snobs, you all had your turns. Peace be unto those who entertain the heart of hip hop and all that is unto life and the better. PEACE.

As usual this nigga Yaknow, talk too much. First off three other real rap niggaz big here in Africa is Black thought,Immortal technique n Last Emperor. All these cats can outrhyme what yall buy there in the states but yall would rather be amazed by celebrity n all that hollywood jazz! We rarely buy american cds out here in Kenya coz yo cracker owned labels don't supply n it would be a waste of money anyway. Jigga is big coz people like to be stupified n to escape reality. Anythin real, niggaz run the other way. Jay turned his back on that deep shit to sell mo to the crackers, Nas did that shit too but howquick we forget as he tried to redeem his ass with stillmatic. If its bout cheddar, GO JAY,NELLY,JON,50. If its bout the real hiphop that was to enlighten then yall know the real niggas supplyin it,"where all the wickedest lyricists found?/in the underground!"Last Emperor spit that shit. PAMOJA!

I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE ALL THE BULLSHIT I JUST READ IN THE LAST COUPLE POSTS. ODHIS, SORRY TO BREAK IT TO YOU BUT BLACK THOUGHT, IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE, AND LAST EMPEROR ARE ALL AMERICAN HIP HOP. BLACK THOUGHT IS FROM THE ROOTS AND IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE IS LATINO FROM GUATAMALA OR SOME SHIT. JAY-Z COULD GIVE A FUCK ABOUT SELLING RECORDS IN AFRICA, HE SELLS MORE IN EUROPE, JAPAN, OR CANADA THAN THE WHOLE CONTINENT OF AFRICA COMBINED. AND YAKNOW WAS THAT A POST OR YOUR FUCKING THESIS FOR HARVARD? WHAT'S ALL THIS TALK OF MORALS AND SHIT? HOVA MAY MAKE HIS MONEY RAPPING ABOUT MATERIALISTIC SHIT BUT HE TAKES CARE OF HIS PEOPLES DOWN THE LINE. COMMON MIGHT BE MORE SPIRITUAL, BUT DO YOU THINK HE BOUGHT HIS MOMMA A HOUSE? WHAT'S MORE MORAL? AND HIP HOP IS TO OUR GENERATION WHAT CLASSIC ROCK LIKE HENDRIX AND LED ZEPPLIN WERE TO OUR PARENTS, IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE MORALS IT'S SEX, DRUGS, AND ROCK & ROLL. FROM THE LOOKS OF THESE MESSAGE BOARDS YOU'D THINK NAS WAS LIKE THE MOST POPULAR RAPPER IN THE WORLD. TOO BAD YOU ASSHOLES DON'T SUPPORT HIM AND BUY HIS ALBUMS, THE WAY Y'ALL BE DEFENDING HIM. EVERYBODY ON HERE HATES ON JIGGA AND FIDDY, YET THEY STILL OUTSELL EVERYBODY 'CEPT EMINEM AND NELLY. ON A SIDE NOTE TO ALL YOU DUDES TALKING THAT UNDERGROUND SHIT, ARE YOU ALWAYS DEPRESSED JUST SITTING AND SULKING WISHING YOUR FAVORITE RAPPERS WERE POPULAR AS YOU FEEL THEY DESERVE TO BE? DON'T YOU EVER WANNA HAVE FUN, LET LOOSE, SHAKE THAT ASS? 50 AND HOV HIT YOU WITH SOME DEEP SHIT, BUT THEIR CLUB RECORDS ARE WHAT PROPELS THEIR SUCCESS. YOU GUYS SEEM LIKE YOU NEVER HAVE ANY FUN, THAT'S WHY PEOPLE LOVE JAY-Z 'CAUSE HIS MUSIC IS FUN. COMMON'S NEW JOINT "THE CORNER" IS HOT BUT DON'T EXPECT THAT RECORD TO TEAR UP THE DANCE FLOOR AT YOUR LOCAL CLUB LIKE "DIRT OFF YOUR SHOULDER" OR "JUST A LIL' BIT" BUSTA RHYMES WAS AN UNDERGROUND DUDE BUT HE LINKED UP WITH PUFFY AND CHANGED HIS IMAGE TO BECOME A STAPLE IN HIP HOP LIKE SCARFACE OR SNOOP DOGG. Q-TIP IS TRYING TO DO THE SAME THING. WHEN YOU'RE A BUMMER ALL THE TIME LIKE DEAD PREZ, YOU'RE GONNA ALIENATE PEOPLE BEFORE THEY HEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY.

What I hate most is when u idiots try to speculate about the motivation behind certain rappers... what part of its all about the $$$ don't u understand... "yaknow" - that was a waste of my f**king time.
I'll bet anything that every single underground emcee will sell his soul to have what Jay-Z has... i can already see Talib beginning to go the commercial route... as is Common... its a hip-hop revolution b**tches!! Soon money, sex and drugs will become underground and Black power, love and knowledge will rule the airwaves... y'all will thank Kanye West, Common, MosDef, and Talib for this

words from da Prophet

What is it witchu Americans? Yall think every nigga in Africa is ignorant. Arsinist, get an original name I know u aint no member of the Arsonists! I know Tyriq(Black Thought nigga)is the frontman of the roots I know Immortal is Latino n I also know the Emp is from Philly. I ain't never sed them cats was African, They jus big down here. Not bigga then Jay tho. Big up yoself Prophet! It is, has always been n will always be about the money! Jigga rules n he ain't blasphemin when he say god mc coz "we were created in his image, call us by our name" Erykah Badu. This is for Arsinist, FYI we got our own African hiphop both commercial n underground, we don't need cracker labels sellin here coz we burn the shit for free off the net n only buy our own African cds, supportin our own, Undugu nigga! Shit u gon have me spittin in swahili ina while. Bottomline, love or hate jigga he's still fuckin Beyonce, still rich,n one of the greatest IF NOT THE GREATEST, MC to date dead or alive. PAMOJA!

If you love hip-hop how could you not on a basic level respect Jay-Z's ability and impact. Your fooling yourself if you think Jay-Z isnt one of the greatest. Just as all the greats (KRS-1, Pac, Big, Rakim, Nas, Wu-Tang, outkast etc) Jay-Z is/was constantly striving to expand. All of the aforementioned artists put out commercial BS as well as what we deem 'real hip-hop. That's the business. So before all of you develop ulsers arguing about it understand business first. You always wanna brand your product and once that brand reaches it's full potential expand it. Get your mind right....at the end of the day even in our everyday lives we may love or hate our coworkers, colleagues, peers but it boils down to taking care of your Family and yourself. If you cant respect talent at least respect success and the ALL AMERICAN $$$. Odhis I've lived in the US for about 14-15 yrs...and Americans will be Americans whether black or white....nuff said.

This is my first time leaving comments on this shit. I read everybody's comments. Most of you make sense others, ya sound loss. About that guy that wrote the book, stop that, no need to leave long ass messages u nerd. My thoughts on Jigga is, he is a success all way around. You can't hate on that aspect of his life, but m.c wise, he is good, not the greatest but good. We can't deny that he's a good rapper. But without a doubt, BIG was and still is the best that ever did it. I'm not just saying that cause his dead either. The only man today I see who can do what big did is Eminem. I hate to say it, but Eminem is the only one right now that could rhryme to any beat, whether it's a whack beat make the shit sounds nice, and can make anything rhryme, I'd say J can do that too. But BIG, I bet none of you bastards on this message board can't name a song where even though the Beat was horrible, BIG's lyrics somehow made the beat and the song hot!

Peace!

here we go again...Yet ANOTHER G.O.A.T. argument... Don't y'all ever get tired of this shyt. Jay is better, no BIG is, what about Rakim and KRS One blah blah blah...Eminem this..Common that...!! Why can't we just respond to the blog at hand and leave out all the GOAT rhetoric... cus u know as well as i do that we will never ever reach a consensus, so why waste my time and ur time!!

arsin-ass

you should not be callin out other people you little spic ass bitch, wise up before someone takes your ass from pickin apples and green beans and hauls yo sorry beaner ass back across da border, now quit ya hatin and enjoy life, by the way pac. is da shit and ridin his dick or not dat dude could spit da shit over and over,..

countryboy out

Chima listen, that's Hip-Hop for you, it's always about who's the best, since the beginning of time. It's a competitive sport, and we are the fans, and one last man has to remain standing. So that is how all the G.O.A.T talks start. There has to be a best. There's only 1 President right, then there's senators and judges and Governors u get my drift. My opinion is Biggie was the last real President of this Hip-Hop Game, for now the Presidency Seat still remains vacant. Now if you don't wanna hear competitive talk, then chat about R&B or something.

Peace

Odhis, Immortal Technique is peruivian with african decent. But you are right about the real emcees, and Immortal Technique is number one on my list.

you folks are a trip man. y'all arguing over nonsense. ima break it down real simple like. Hip-Hop is like going to the movies, you have all types of genres.from horror, comedy, porn, love action, documentaries and so on. you dont get mad at DeNiro for playing a gangsta in goodfellas and then playing a crazy dad in meet the parents right? of course not you just want to be entertained in excellent taste.we are all just human beings and the beautiful thing about hip-hop is that a true artist will explore all of the elements of life. personally I like Nas over Jay-Z because he gives me more food for thought, but I love Hova also because he will get the party started and all of that. In closing they are both god's..yes i said god's of this rap game and i will continue to support them both because i love the sport!
PEACE!

Peace to THA ARSINIST, peace to Odhis, and peace to all that grace this wonderful opportunity to communicate about the viability and the future of the music we hold so dear. Money, as a few people have expressed, is the motivation of many people, yet it is not everything, but merely a means to an end.

To become infatuated with the money, moreso than the happiness that can be achieved by by being situated with mass amounts of money, is to overlook the initial motivation to acquire money in the first place. In retrospect, money is needed to enjoy the least of the fruits of life and the merriments that adorn almost every aspect of life. A lot of excessively material people have forgotten that. Peace to THA ARSINIST for so adequately pointed out to us, that fun was the fundamental reason for hip hop's initial inception. An affordable good time was was hip hop was and until one could acquire more money, through legal means, the founding of hip hop was there to be with you until you could afford a better time elsewhere.

Seeing as to how many people enjoy hip hop music and the diversity of the music which incorporates all music that has probably ever been into itself for newer generations to appreciate, some may agree that it is not necessary to go too far from hip hop music to at least get some exposure to almost every form of music there is in satisfiable small amounts, especially since Greg Nice of Nice and Smooth fame pointed out that "too much of anything makes you an addict".

Yet as Jay-Z and so many others of similar cloth and mold have reminded us as of recently since their arrival, money separates the have from the have not as Tupac would say. From some of Jay-Z's own fans' admissions and the nature of some of his own lyrics a la "You broke, what the F*ck you gon' tell me", it would seem that such distinction is purely voluntary and egomaniacal rather than inherently functional.

Peace to Odhis who has so wonderfully enlightened us of Erykah's profound remembrance of the Greatest Book ever written's passages that would stipulate "If we were made in his image then call us by our names". Such eloquence should not ever be understated, yet in the case of Jay-Z's blaspheme as self proclaimed "god emcee", when compared to Cee-Lo's counter-balance on track #1 The Experience off of the Goodie MOb "Still Standing" CD (a classic along with the first CD "Soul Food" if we may interject as much) it may appropriately be reiterated of another passage of the great book that goes like so,

"I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. Arise O God, judge the earth: for thou shall inherit all the nations."

Jeru on the track called "War" said "My man said he was god holding the devil's pitchfork", ill verse, very ill verse indeed. On the same track Jeru said "It's still a mystery to you like the 82nd Psalm." Jeru is wielding mouthfuls of profound truth on the whole of the track #7 called "War" off of the "Divine Design" CD. Check it.

On the more material side of rap Jay-Z and the like seem to think that you haven't lived until you've done this or you haven't lived until you've bought this or eaten that or shopped here or shopped there. The materialistic attitude being adopted too early in life is poisonous to kids that adopt such views and those who they degradate that are independent minded beyond the limited materialist attitudes. The Golden years of childhood end up being the redeemable silver-lining to the clouded judgemental adults some grow up to be.

Maybe it's just us but wasn't it that type of lofty, affluent lifestyle so early in life that lead to Michael Jackson's affinity for children. Feeling as if he had missed the golden simplicity of his childhood. God forbid that children today that listen to rap as the order the day grow up to develop a perverse or seemingly deviant, aberrated affinity for children that is more than just a passing infatuation with a Peter Pan-esque abandon for the laws of society.

For all the supporters of the greyer side of Jay-Z, we can hear the moraless children disillusioned to thinking that money can buy Love, growing up thinking Jay-Z was the vintage music their parents listened to, solemnly chanting thelyrics to "Money ain't a thing". Courtesy of you all's hero, dunt, dun, dun, dun JAYYYYY-ZZZZZEEEEEEEE.

If Jay-Z becomes quality underground and Common (who is a land-lord, by the way, who owns tenements, for whoever said he never bought his madre a house), Talib Kweli, and the mighty Mos Def become the radio norm, then all we can say is like on the Wizard of Oz when Dorothy spilled water on the antagonist chick, "what a world, what a world, what a worrrrrrrld" and that just as Dorothy wore the ruby slippers, that once belonged to the first antagonist on whom the house fell(think Common, Talib Kweli, and Mos Def lyrically bringing down the house), we can only assume that power is not inherently good or bad, its what you do with it, but like the Lord Of The Ring, "The Return Of the King", if Frodo didn't hurry he too would be overwhelmed by the evil of such a powerful tool, the Ring, but alls well that ends well. Peace Be unto you all. We all need some Peace. PEACE.

yaknow

what kind of shit you smokin there my brotha? you was rollin good but lost me somewhere out there, way out there.....

YAKNOW...

you seem like an intelligent dude, but you are judgemental as fuck. you have all this shit to say bout Jay as if you know dude. i know what youre probabaly thinkin, "i know his type." bitch ass groupie. well i know youre type, clown. you sittin in your four-cornered room thinkin that you know what really needs to be valued in life and hatin on ONE DUDE outta several who have done the same thing, just less succesfully. while youre bitter and judgin these independant niggas who started from nothin and did dirt along the way and now have gotten some c.r.e.a.m. to their name in a legit manner, you should be doin your own thing tryin to change it. while you busy typin those heart-filled messages youre dyin slow. if you know the right way to live and have your own definition of success then do your thing. ima tell you what would really surprise me ; see you writin one of those thesis papers talkin bout nas' contradictions and his darker times of his career where he was puttin out puddin. i aint one of those jigga fans who hates nas, not at all. youll find all of both of their albums where i rest at. i cant articulate to prove my points like you, but i musta proved a point to at least a few people.

peace and lets start hearin more arguin over the "old-school" era and mcs like kool g, rakim, guru, daddy kane and the other pioneers

Yaknow, u kick mad knowledge but in too many words. 456, u right let's hear mo bout the ol'skool greats like Rakim,BDP,Juice crew n 'em. Materialism is poisonin the kids but u ain't gon blame Jay coz they teachin kids that they got to get the money from elementary school, at leat that's the case out here in Kenya. Coz so many are poor n starvin, they put this image of the guy with shit to eat everyday as livin gravy. So the kids gon strive to be that n a million times mo. Jay jus pushes what's established in society n so does every rapper who sells mo than 250,000 copies in the states. Peace to all who love hiphop plus its dark side, let's wait for Jay's next album, fuck retirin! PAMOJA!

COUNTRYBITCH I AIN'T HEAR FROM YOUR BITCH ASS IN A WHILE, WEREN'T YOU POSTING UNDER crakka rappa FOR A WHILE THERE? YOUR FUCKING WEAK AS FUCK, YOU LILLY WHITE BREAD ASS. QUIT WITH THE NIGGA AND MY BROTHA SHIT YOU DON'T DESERVE TO SAY THAT SHIT. HISPANICS NOW MAKE UP 25% OF AMERICA (AND THAT'S JUST THE ONES WHO RESPONDED TO THE 2000 CENSUS) AND OUR NUMBERS ARE STILL GROWING SO GET USED TO IT BITCH. ME AND NOBODY IN MY FAMILY IS FROM MEXICO YOU STUPID ASS, I SAID I WAS CHICANO NOT MEXICAN. CHICANOS ARE FROM PLACES LIKE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, NEW MEXICO, COLORADO, ETC. AND WE TRACE OUR ROOTS BACK TO THE NATIVE AMERICANS AND THE SPANISH CONQUISTADORS, SO BY DEFINITION I'M MORE AMERICAN THAN YOUR PUNK ASS. GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE SO THE REST OF US CAN DISCUSS HIP HOP.

Can't say anything that aint been said yet. That dude who talked bout the new Hip Hop revolution is right thanks to "the gap like Banana Republic" Ye, who by the way is naturally a whack rapper, but whoworks so hard on his lyrics for them to come out with taht heat. To Odhis, I hear mad Kenyan music and i gotta admit your shit is tight, but all those beefs y'all got amongst yourselves leaves the international audience baffled. And Black Thought is a self confessed huge fan of Jay-Z and the likes of Fabolous, back before Fab did Breathe. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. So jay sells crack and gets judged for his morals by the aptly named Yakmouth, yet if he didnt he would lose credibilty. Jay never ever justified selling his drugs cause crackheads were worthless, find me that quote u no-life having... dare i say it?... HATER!! Yeah you're a hater because though you're right about what u said about "hater" as a definition is right, u fit the categorry. Here u give us a thesis though it's clear your argument starts with an ignorant bias. U gave me nuff info on other issues peripheral to Jay, but not enuff on Jay to give u a fans credibility. so Fuck You.
I'm a huge fan of Jay, remember to all those that this rap shit for jay was just another hustle for Jay, just something else to conquer before he went for bigger bucks. After u sell Multiplatinum albums every year u gotta set your sights further ahead, or you're stupid and "Don't u understand the intelligence Jay Z has" " I thought i told u cats i'm not a rapper/ Can i live/ I came to take this shit and i did." He did.

CRACKERBOY HOW DO I EVEN RESPOND TO THAT JIBBERISH? "WETBACK" REFERS TO ILLEGAL MEXICANS. SINCE WHEN DO LATINOS HAVE BIG NOSES OR INDIANS FUCK BUFFALO? FOR EVERY EMINEM YOU GOT A THOUSAND IGNORANT ASS WHITEBOYS LIKE YOU. YOU COME ON HERE TALKING ALL RACIST LIKE SOMEBODY'S GONNA HAVE YOUR BACK, COCKSUCKER. CAN MEDIA CHIN-CHECK PLEASE BLOCK THIS FAGGOT COUNTRYBITCH FROM POSTING?

ARSIN-ASS sorry if you think im a racist, im not, only to you dickweed, look at some of your prior post and tell me im wrong!!!!! i just slammed yo sorry ass and now you lookin for someone to cut me from the post, enough said about that, you go back to your binki or suckin your thumb and be nice thats all i ask, and i'll leave your greasey ass alone..... BE NICE and quit thinkin your the bad ass of the key board....

countryboy out

yo Capital P, initially all the G'O'A'T talk is actually cool, u get dudes who really know what their talking about... but after the 20th time that shit gets real old. It's always the same dudes arguing over the same artists, then u get some idiot who puts Cassidy and Cam'Ron in his top five and say's 50 cent is the GOAT - fucking ludicrous... that's why i say WHY EVEN BOTHER? Why should i argue w/ someone whose knowledge of the artform we call hip-hop is restricted BET... pleeease!

I'm tired of niggaz dissn jayz & for the record, he did respond to pac. If u was in ny around 96 u woulda remembered the underground joint "Dead or Alive". He just aint pubicly release it cause pac got killed around that time. "See a nigga dissn me aint nothn new understand, its how I retaliate best describes who I am, jayz! Aint nothn dead or alive playn me, I'll bring beef to your grave that's how my momma raised me, she told me to fight in my after life that was her main story, so heaven or hell niggaz better have some answers for me, hollern shit from 89? Hawaiin Sophie? Got damn you been on my dick a long time" - Jay-Z.

Greetings peeps, May the passion of hip hop be with you. Without it hip hop dies while dissension creates buzz and hype as well as sells record. Greetings 456 your passion is astounding, mind you we are not bitter in the least but we must say you wield the words "bitter" and "judgemental" with the emotional disparity of one who is quite familiar with essence of those words on a personal level. Surely your passion is an asset for one such as yourself if you truly appreciate hip hop as much as you say.

Consider that you would have more potential with your unbridled passion if you did not project your emotional inadequacies on others so much, no offense, truly. As a fan of Jay-Z you seem to only acknowledge the depth of his lyrics only superficially, thats why you project your lack of knowledge of Jay on us. You call us groupie yet you stood for nothing in the way of supporting Jay-Z in your post, no more than ranting and railing on us as if you were on the ROC's payroll. Are you? We didn't think so because Jay-Z doesn't seem to take to kindly with the overtly emotional such as yourself, hence "Song Cry", so see we would call you a Jay-Z groupie, but it seems the function of your post was to take a shot a yours truly.

You're holding up the wall, but your missing the point, last we checked Jay-Z was the issue. Lest this is the Jay-Z penis riding competition, you might as well diss everybody up here that has the integrity of mind to have a decent opinion of independent thought other than what Jay-Z spoon feds you, which is watered-down and dumbed-down by his own self-admission, mind you, "Moment Of Clarity". Such passion properly directed would produce the proper analysis of Nas for which you expressed a desire for.

Critical thinking seems to be one of your strengths, yeah, we played the role of punching bag to your thought process enough to know that. What you fail to realize is that Nas is contradictory as much as anyone or any of us for that matter.

Case in point, on "Illmatic", the track "Represent" Nas says "don't even run about 'gods', I don't believe in none of that sh*t, your facts is backwards, Nas is a rebel of the street corner, pulling the tech out the dresser, police got me under pressure". Then on "It Was Written" track 7 "Nas Is Coming", Nas says "Motherf*cking Dre, what's up my n*gga?", Dr.Dre says "What's up Nas?" Nas replies "Chillin' 'god'" see.

Mind you, the growth of Nas has always been something that he has always kept in the open pretty much, he was always wise enough to change instead of hanging on to a shell of his former self when he new he was outgrowing it. The wise man does not despise reproof or correction and that is the wisdom of Nas that raises him above the level of pompous Jay-Z.

You guys like Jay-Z because you all imagine of him being your friend, but Nas was or is your friend aware of your plight when he says on some track how could i tease the kids with ice, gold, and platinum knowing that they can't afford that or something to that effect. Jay-Z tells of how he knows better, but does not make the change, Nas speaks not of his fault, but makes the change which is more important to be done than to be merely said but never acted upon as Jay-Z does in "Moment Of Clarity".

Speaking on the subject of the song "Moment Of Clarity", it seems that Jay-Z's conscious is clearly weighed on behalf of him writing watered-down, "dumbed-down" music as he himself said, for you, Mozzy (Bique) and 456, the fans that are not critical enough to ask or demand more from him as he is capable. The song is written as a type of plea for forgiveness, like, for the sake of the dream of 456 and Mozzy (Bique), it could be summed up as,

Dear thinking people who have an opinion as I Jay-Z, for me for the lack of integrable themes on all the albums I've made since "Reasonable Doubt", but I fear that 456 and Mozzy (Bique) and the millions of other people who fear to use their better judgement may cease to purchase my watered-down music if I inject MORE than "Reasonable Doubt" into their minds, I'm sorry, but 456 and Mozzy (Bique) are responsible for instituting my fan club since 1996 and as the wipers of my heiny, making sur that my sh*t doesn't stink, I owe it to them to continue to maintain the impeccable upkeep of my heiny which hasn't been so clean since 456 and Mozzy (Bique) got on the payroll since 1996,

(continued) Thank You, but based on the revenue generated by word of mouth by 456 and Mozzy (Bique) they have, by themselves aided in my retirement from the microphone seeing that anything beyond the integrity of "Reasonable Doubt" would cause 456 and Mozzy (Bique) to dismantle my fanclub and Jay-Z can have that, goodnight, (picture Jay-Z waving goodbye saying faintly in the distance) "It's the ROC!!!"

You would think that dude Mozzy (Bique) co-wrote "The Takeover" with all the animosity he generated and we weren't even talking about him, dude straight took it personal like Jay-Z was his cousin's best friend's uncle's mechanic's nephew's playmate in the first grade that threw up on him on the playground and he vowed to never wash his shirt again because he KNEW, when Jay-Z sold him melted ice cream for twice what it sold for in the cafeteria, that Sean Carter was going to be somebody.

If Jay-Z was the G.O.A.T. he would as a goat be able to take all the flack that we hurl at him AND eat it at that since goats eat anything. Yet Mozzy (Bique) and 456 must know Jay-Z is not the G.O.A.T. but the goaded emcee egged on by Mozzy (Bique) and 456 to continue to parade his creek water lyrics that even Jay says are dumbed-down. You know what, we can't front Mozzy (Bique) 456 ARE special to Jay-Z, just think he dumbs down his lyrics just for you guys. You guys must be honored, congratulations, Jay-Z does it all for you, thats got to make you feel special.

Who would have guessed it Mozzy (Bique) and 456 were Jay-Z's advisors all along, can we have your watergraph?, wait let us get some sponges. Huh? you sucked it all up? Aw Man alright, that's too bad maybe next time before he retires, AGAIN.

That's cool because even though all those other songs were dedicated you you guys, "Moment Of Clarity" was dedicated to us as a rebuttal for being the few that he wanted to write for, but couldn't because Mozzy (Bique) and 456 were hanging OUT with him, one on either side of his sac, OH well. Humor is the spice of life, well said on the Adam Sandler movie with Jack Nicholson "Anger Management" You die hard fans should see it, If you laugh from it, you just might loosen your grip on Jay-Z sac. Don't act like you haven't heard Jay-Z's humor of the same cloth either.

Speaking of same cloth, Dear Mozzy (Bique) you said you wanted us to find you a quote where Jay-Z signifies his total disdain for crackheads unlike Tupac who said "Never underestimate the power of a fiend".

On "In My Lifetime Vol. 1" the track "You Must Love Me", Jay-Z has sold crack to his mother and his brother a la "All you did was motivate me,'don't let 'em hold you back, What I do turn around and I sold you Crack, I was a bastard for that still drowning in shame", "had me thinking the newest kicks and the latest gat, still haven't apologized, so please play this back while I try to come to terms with such a heinous act, you know more than one way cocaine numbs the brain, All I did was think about how the funds once came, Glad you got yourself together, no thanks to me, Strong and beautiful the way things should be." That was to his moms, and by the way crack gets into the system by just holding it in the palms of your hands thats why he said "You know more than one way cocaine numbs the brain."

Then concerning his brother on the same song Jay says "Seen the devil in youe eye high off more than weed, Confused I just closed my young eyes and squeezed, What a sound, Opened my eyes just in time, To see you stumble to the ground, 'Damn', What the f*ck I done now, Runnin' round in a circle thinking I'm a**ed out, Hot gun burnin' my waist ran straight to Jaz's house."

Dude just told you all how he compromised the life of his mother and his brother because Crack validated the income coming in. Even in the song he repents while 456 and Mozzy (Bique) cling to the faulty reason he has discarded as being responsible for the heinous acts. You all are still old Jay-Z while he's making his rebuttal. 456 and Mozzy (Bique), catch up to the Jay-Z that emerges by the end of the song.

Once Jay-Z deemed even family members weak enough to fall prey to Crack he responded to them as if they themselves had signed their own death warrant no longer entitling them to the respect due to people let alone family members. Jay-Z was addicted to selling crack in more ways than one via hand to crack contact. Reflecting on the conclusion of it all, some you feel Jay-Z was right to do as he did, the means justifying the end, but even, Jay doesn't feel that way just a few you dudes part of the Jay-Z Brigade. Peep Jay-Z response to those of you who are co-signers that feel you have to get the money any way possible, "Did I tell you sell drugs?, Naw, 'Ho' did that, so hopefully you won't have to go through that".

SOME of you all should listen to Jay-Z beyond the production aspect until you dudes peep the depth of the conveyance of his lyrics. You might have a "Moment Of Clarity", a key point of realization before peace is attained. There is a calm before and after the storm. Peace be unto those passionate enough to disagree for the sake of diversity within the music called hip hop that we appreciate so. PEACE.

YAKNOW, JAY-Z WAS TALKING ABOUT HIS GIRLFRIEND NOT HIS MOTHER IN "YOU MUST LOVE ME", AND EVERYBODY KNOWS HE SHOT HIS OLDER BROTHER ERIC. GIVE US SOMETHING NEW. NAS IS THE FAKEST RAPPER IN HISTORY. NAS PRETENDS LIKE HE SOLD CRACK, JAY-Z REALLY DID IT. WHAT'S WORSE, ACTUALLY DOING IT OR WISHING YOU DID IT? NAS RAPS ABOUT GUNS AND COKE ALL OVER IT WAS WRITTEN AND THAT WAS HIS BEST ALBUM 'CAUSE HE WAS TRYING SO HARD TO BE LIKE BIGGIE ON THERE. NAS WAS, IS, AND NEVER WILL BE THE KING OF NEW YORK. NAS IS THE DEFINITION OF A PLAYER HATER. HE WAS OPENLY AS WELL AS SUBLIMINALLY DISSING JAY-Z FOR YEARS, SO FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO THINK HOV STARTED THE BEEF WITH "THE TAKEOVER" ARE MISTAKEN. NAS WAS ANGRY 'CAUSE JAY SELLS MORE RECORDS THAN HIM, OWNS HIS OWN RECORD LABEL WITH LOTS OF SUCCESSFUL ARTISTS, HAS A CLOTHING LINE, OWNS A VODKA BRAND, RELEASES TEN MULTIPLATINUM ALBUMS IN SEVEN YEARS, DRIVES BENTLEYS AND MAYBACHS, FUCKS WITH THE BEST PRODUCERS, SELLS OUT STADIUMS, OH YEAH AND HE FUCKED NAS' BABY'S MAMA CARMEN. NOT TO MENTION HE'S FUCKING THE HOTTEST CHICK ON THE PLANET BEYONCE. WHAT DOES NAS HAVE TO SHOW FOR HIS ELEVEN YEAR RAP CAREER? ILL WILL RECORDS IS FINISHED, BRAVEHEARTS ARE GARBAGE, HE COMES WITH ONE HOT SONG PER ALBUM, HE ONLY DROPS ALBUMS LIKE EVERY THREE YEARS, WILLIE ESCO WAS UGLIER THAN FUBU AND HE DIDN'T EVEN OWN IT. I USED TO LOVE NAS, BUT SLOWLY OVER TIME DUDE SHOWED HIS TRUE COLORS AND EXPOSED HIMSELF AS THE BITCH HE IS. IT AIN'T LIKE JAY-Z AND 50 ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO DON'T LIKE NAS, ALMOST ALL HIS FORMERS ASSOCIATES THINKS HE'S BOOTY. MOBB DEEP, CNN, CORMEGA, FOXY, NATURE, TRAGEDY KHADAFI ALL THEM WERE COOL WITH NAS, NOW THEY DON'T FUCK WITH HIM. IF IT WAS LIKE A COUPLE PEOPLE IT WOULD BE DIFFERENT, BUT THAT'S A GANG OF PEOPLE RIGHT THERE. ARE THEY ALL WRONG? A DUDE WHO CAN'T HOLD FRIENDSHIPS AND ALLIANCES SEEMS SUSPECT TO ME. NAS IS A LIAR TOO. HE SAID 2PAC APOLOGIZED TO HIM FOR DISSING HIM ON "BOMB FIRST" IN VEGAS AT THE TYSON FIGHT RIGHT BEFORE PAC GOT MURDERED. FIRST OFF MAKAVELI GOT RELEASED IN NOVEMBER '96 TWO MONTHS AFTER PAC WAS MURDERED SO HOW COULD NAS KNOW ABOUT THE TRACK? YEAH SHIT GETS BOOTLEGGED, BUT DO YOU THINK NEW YORK WANTED TO HEAR A CD FULL OF SONGS DISSING THEM? ACCORDING TO SNOOP DOGG, 2PAC BEAT UP NAS IN CENTRAL PARK IN FRONT OF HIS PEOPLES JUST DAYS BEFORE PAC WAS KILLED. DO YOU THINK PAC WOULD APOLOGIZE LIKE TWO DAYS LATER? NAS ALSO SAID BIGGIE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ON THE SONG "GOT UR DELF A..." WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE SINCE THE BEAT FOR THAT SONG SAMPLED THE THEM SONG FOR THE SOPRANOS. OVER THE YEARS HE GOT LAMER AND LAMER TO ME. THE LAST SONG OF HIS I LIKED WAS "MADE YOU LOOK" REMIX BECAUSE JADA AND LUDA OWNED THAT SHIT. ON LIL JON'S NEW SHIT THE SONG "GRAND FINALE" ICE CUBE'S VERSE IS WAY BETTER THAN NAS'. YOU GUYS ACT LIKE NAS BELONGS WITH THE OLD SCHOOL VETS, BUT WHY DO THEY ALL SEEM TO PREFER JAY-Z THEN? NAS DID A JOINT WITH RAKIM AND ALICIA KEYS FOR A MIXTAPE AND THAT SHIT WAS A'IGHT, BUT HOV GOT RA AND DR. DRE ON "THE WATCHER 2". JAY-Z'S DONE SONGS WITH KOOL G. RAP AND BIG DADDY KANE TOO. WHERE'S NAS' LOVE AT? THEY DON'T FUCK WITH HIM. REAL RECOGNIZE REAL. NAS DONE SHITTED ON ALL THE PEOPLE WHO SUPPORETED HIM TOO. PRIMO AND NAS AND WORK TOGETHER SINCE NASTRADAMUS. IRV GOTTI AND JA SHOWED NAS LOVE WHEN HIS CAREER WAS OVER, GOTTI PRODUCED A GANG OF SONGS FOR NAS THAT WERE SUPPOSED TO BE ON GOD'S SON. WHEN IT CAME TIME TO RELEASE THE ALBUM ALL GOTTI'S TRACKS WERE MISSING AS WELL AS "THE PLEDGE" REMIX. HOW COINCIDENTAL THAT JA AND IRV WERE AT THE HEIGHT OF THEIR FUED WITH 50 CENT AND SHADY/AFTERMATH WHEN HE DECIDED TO DISTANCE HIMSELF FROM MURDER INC. THAT'S HO SHIT. I DON'T EVEN LIKE MURDER INC. BUT THAT JUST SHOWS NAS HAS NO LOYALTY WHATSOEVER, HE TURNED ON THE INC. WHEN THEY MADE HIM POPULAR AGAIN. HE COULDN'T RIDE THE BUZZ OF "ETHER" FOREVER AND HE TURNED AROUND AND GOT EMINEM TO PRODUCE "THE CROSS" THAT'S A SLAP IN THE FACE TO MURDER INC. FUCK NAS AND ALL HIS FANS TOO, JAY GETS THE LOVE NAS WISHES HE HAD.

Once again we reiterate, if we feel Jay-Z should be prompted to step up the quality of his music because he confessed to have dumbed it down, riddle us this, who did he dumb-the music down for? That's right. And what does that say about the listeners that like such "dumbed-down" that are "down" with Jay-Z, are they Duh, Duh, Duh mmm, like on "Letterman" from Sesame Street, Duh mmm uh. Aw forget. Jay-Z rules......sike. That was for a laugh. And with laughter there comes a sort of peace. PEACE.

It's ashame nigga's don't know the difference between givin' respect and dick ridin', i've been readin some of the comments and most of u nigga's who claim were dick riders didn't really give a clear reason why not to give props to jigga besides sayin "he won't shake my hand" awww, that right their is some homo shit. Who else do u know givin hip-hop new shit summer after summer. In my opinion Jay is the greatest rapper ever, you listen to his lyrics you can hear him evolving over time. Whatever he spoke that was him, he ain't rep west coast when he was born and raise on the east coast. Don't get me wrong pac is great but the nigga said one thing turn around and say another. Check the stats and look whose on top with every rapper you know. Those who love to dis Jigga only dis him is because he literaly got what u don't have in every aspect of life. know the facts before u judge, one.

people i hope you took time to read this.
i have been a jay-z fan from reasonable doubt and i got all his albums real. i have looked up to him as black icon. but recently i have been looking up freemasonry sites and illumnati sites.

these sites have basically told me some real sh!t. JAY-Z is a FREEMASON.

Now i know what you are thinking right now. because i was told this information about 6 months ago but i kind of ignored it. it wasnt until i peep them websites i saw certain things that freemasons do. when i started to read the words to "d'evils","lucifer","justify my thug","dope man" and there is many many more songs, it just hit me. even calling him HOV is wrong. freemasons believe they are gods but look up to a higher force. this higher force is what has made them. $$$MONEY$$$. on every dollar bill you have got an eye on top of the pyramid. that eye is known as the all seeing eye. the eye was put on the dollar bill by an occult follower. check the websites below.

to realise that the person i look up to is a fcukin devilworshipper is crazy. the worst thing is that im not even a religious dude, i dont go church or read the bible.

but im gonna let you dudes find out for yourself. AND THIS IS SOME SERIOUS SH!T.
when i was young i was told satan moves in many shapes and forms, and he pulls the wool over your eyes.
that sh!t dont mean jay-z is the devil but he has an uncontrollable love for money, thats why he got $350 million and running. everybody knows that greed aint good.
i was also told a while back that the dynasty sign is a freemason sign, i aint to sure of that though im still lookin for the proof.

its like the saying goes what you dont know wont kill you.

YAKNOW

i swear from the passion you put out to shit on a nigga you musta loved some of his material (jigga). like they say in order to hate somethin or someone you musta loved it before, or some shit like that. people get the picture regardless.

ps.- you in front of the computer at all hours of the day, you must have strong wrists and i aint talkin bout from typin you lifeless clown. occupy your time in a better way, son.

ALL THE PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT HAS ANYTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY ABOUT JAY-Z, EITHER THEY GREW UP AROUND A VERY NEGATIVE ENVIROMENT OR YOUR JUST A HOT HATER, I REALLY HATE THE FACT THAT PEOPLE GO OUT AND TALK CHIT LIKE JAY-Z NEVER CAME BACK AT TUPAC AN ALL THAT CHIT, MY POINT IS THAT JAY-Z AND THE WHOLE ROCAFELLA CREW RUN THIS MOTHER FUCKING RAP CHIT RIGHT NOW, AN ALSO TO LET YA'LL KNOW A RAPPER LIKE HIM THAT CAN CONTINUED TO PUT OUT RECORDS AND BE ABLE TO SELL OUT CONCERTS,,,,,,, NIGGA PLEASE GO AN RE-ARRANGE YOUR WHOLE LIFE, YOUR RETARDED MENTALLY.

Who Wanna Fuck With That?

and whats the best Nas has ever sold .. 2 albums hahahhahahahhahahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahhahahahhahahhaha NAS SUX

Jay-Z is not even in my top 20 list of Best MC. He's bitten a lot of rappers lines and his music for the most part doesn't have substance. I'm tired of hearing about cars, jewelry, clothes, and women. Reasonable Doubt was a good album but if you take Biggie away from the CD would it be considered a classic? What about the Blueprint if Emninem wasn't on the album? When you're talking about TRUE M.C'S they brought creativity to Hip-Hop like Rakim, KRS-1, Big Daddy Kane, Ice Cube, Pac, to Nas, Common, Mos Def, Kweli, Wu-Tang,etc. Yes Jay-Z is more successful then those MC's but lyrically there's no comparison. You'll dissing Nas because he's not as mainstream as Jay is! Bun B, Biggie, Slick Rick, Snoop Dogg, Nas, Big Daddy Kane, just to name a few Jay-z has bitten verses from so please stop saying that he's greatest of all-time. Jay-Z does have some GREAT albums and I love the Black Album but lets keep it in perspective Jay-Z can't be considered the greatest or one of the greatest if his CREATIVITY is so limited. Much props to Outkast, Common, and the other TRUE MCs for bringing creativity back to Hip-Hop!
