Wow. I'm not really sure, S&G. I do know that there's been a lot of heat with this black-vs.-brown shit. Remember "Vato" by Snoop Dogg? That song was powerful for two reasons:
(1) it gave him the chance to work with Diamonique and a lot of other Chicano rappers on a "Vato" remix
(2) Chino Grande of Wicked Minds heard the song and released a diss record for disgracing the Chicano name. It was he who prevented Snoop Dogg from releasing the official version.
