Dat Dude:
Been hearing bout this dude for a minute. Sinful El Pecador just did a Spanish remix of Alicia Keys’ “No One.” Translation: he added his Spanish lyrics to the original. Listen to it at myspace.com/elpecador and tell me if I’m crazy. This cat is nice.

Fat Joe is a hardworking man. The dude is still grindin’ to stay relevant and he’s doing a decent job. Scoop the R&B crooner of the moment (J. Holiday) and make a song for chicks and poof! He gives himself a shot to win. This time around it’s hit or miss though…this ish is kinda wack.

I usually wouldn’t jump on the bandwagon but Ima admit it Weezy is that dude in the game. He’s so big now that he can help a decent rapper get a Grammy nod. Yep, I’m talking about Fat Joe. He got nominated for his Wayne-assisted and stripper anthem “Make It Rain.”

Yep, the ol’ man AZ is back. Seems dude always drops a solid album under the radar. In any case here’s the video for “The Hardest” featuring the best LOX MC aka Styles P. The track is produced by Large Professor (one of the illest producers ever and one nice ass dude). I f**ks with this but then again I hate Soulja Boy and still listen to Tribe on the reg. Dominicans stand up for ya boy Sosa!

The homie LuLu (BYI CEO, get it right putos) dropped me a line to tell me about the behind the scenes footage of Omar Cruz’s “I Hang With My Dogz” video. It was shot by the legendary Estevan Oriol. It finds OC dealing with los puercos and handing out more handshakes than a Casino greeter. Check it below.

Dem Dudes:
Wisin y Yandel got the whole “bigger on mun2” treatment with their latest album. The boricua duo did a couple of funny videos including the borderline queso one below.

The D.E.Y. caught up with [Si] Entertainment to give’em the scoop on their new album and labels. They’ve been called reggaeton like Pitbull and a Latino Fugees. Either way the trio set the record straight. Below are some excerpts.

There’s a nice lil’ interview over at hiphopgame.com with Nore. He talks about CNN, Tragedy Khadafi, losing weight and his solo career. It’s NO being NO so ya know it’s entertaining.

On his New Year’s resolution: “My New Year’s Resolution is to not smoke cigarettes anymore. I came a long way. I used to smoke two packs a day and I’m down to one. Honestly, man, smoking cigarettes has done wonders for me because smoking cigarettes a lot has cut down on the weed I smoked. Now I’m down to 5-10 blunts a day and sometimes even none. I can have weed in my bar and not even smoke it. I can’t say cigarettes are completely bad. I can say that, but I can take the positive out of smoking cigarettes. That’s the thing with me. There’s never nothing that’s all negative. I can always see the positive. I can see my friend’s girl at a strip club and I won’t walk out and leave, but I’ll tell my friend, “Yo, at least your girl’s paying the bills.” You know? I don’t take everything as being negative. I’m a very positive individual and I’m very proud of the individual I turned out to be. I’m pretty proud of that. I’m making my New Year’s Resolution to kick the cigarettes.”

I caught up with Lou Diaz of the production duo the Diaz Bros. Ya know Pitbull, Daddy Yankee, etc. They’re down with the whole Loud.com movement. Check what he had to say below.

Their involvement with Loud.com:
“With Loud.com we’re with one of the producers that the contestants can download our beats. Actually Cool of Cool & Dre turned us on to the site,” Lou said. “Our role is to provide them with beats for the contestants to download and they can access us as producers. To be able to do their own material over it and be able to submit it, I think is a really cool concept. For somebody who has talent and isn’t able to access the type of producers that are on the site could be able to put together a crazy joint and who knows.”

Poet/MC/Activist/Actor/Etc. La Bruja is doing right by her people as she always has. Her latest endeavor is Latinas 4 Life, a program where she goes to various NYC high schools and empowers young women. For more on L4L check her [Si] Entertainment feature

Cali MC Jae-P has quite a following in the Latin rap world and with reason. He’s one of the dudes that don’t suck. His new album Atrévete, features “Take It to the Floor” featuring Elika Crespo and was produced by Fingaaz (same cat who did “Lean Like A Cholo” but don’t hold it against him).

This is a new joint by R&B crooner Novel featuring the good ol boy Joell Ortiz. It’s called “Hit’em with the Shottie” and it’s a lil bit unique for a rap/R&B collabo. Different because JO’s verse comes at the end of the song. A couple more joints like these and more mainstream cats will know who exactly the f**k Joell Ortiz is.
