The D.E.Y. are getting some nice industry buzz which in the end doesn’t translate into record sales (ie: Little Brother). Yet, they are much like LB a solid and talented group always up to try new things. In the latest issue of GIANT my scribe comadre Celia San Miguel interviews them on their upcoming album, living together while recording and dabbling in reggaeton.

Their sound:
Divine: We have a lot of different sounds on the album, so we can perform anywhere, from BET to the Latin Alternative Music Conference. At the LAMC we performed “Corrè,” which has more of a rock/ghetto-metal sound.
Elan: It reminds me of Run-D.M.C.’s “Walk This Way.” But, you know, we also have songs like “Get The Feeling,” which is a fun dance record that Timbaland produced.
And best line from the interview came from Yeyo. “We need to educate.” Palabra.

Watch all the niggers drop by and start hating....
lol@ bori...u prolly got that "nigger" blood in u...blinded by ur own ignorance...how cute =)
They sound like a pretty decent group ,although i would compare them more to the FUGEES than LB, and to the "Boricua" who posted the first response ,NOT ALL "NIGGERS" hate on latino artist , just most of us cant understand the language and are too ignorant./impatience to try and learn it; i'm black and sum of my favorite artist are Latin (Omar cruz,De la ghetto,Zion,Joell ortiz) , what most Blacks and latinos these days dont realize is that blacks and latinos have doin hip-hop together 4 years and now the craka are trying to split us up even though we been together making music and history 4 years ( Look up the the old skool group Grand Master flash and The furious five; I bet most of u didnt know two of thier members were latino )

They are not talented - and I've seen them live. They even lip-synched and are capitalizing off of the whole fusion thing when there ar FAR too many bands being way more creative and who are talented and past the whole image crap.
