Jim Jones Doesn't Go G-Unit, Signs With Rick Rubin's Sony

So hip-hop’s token Asian chick (Miss Info) got a big ass scoop yesterday. The Capo has officially left the graveyard and bounced to the majors via Sony. Jim Jones just signed a multimillion dollar deal with Sony.

“My boss is Rick Rubin and Hip Hop (Kyambo Joshua) is doing my albums with me. What you think Jay-Z is gonna think about that?,” he told her.

JJ just loves getting at Jay and what better way to get at him then to work with his people. Jay prolly doesn’t care but it’s good for entertainment. Apparently his new album is set to drop in 2008 with a Rubin-produced song in tow. Alas JJ has found someone who looks as dirty as he does in Rick.

“What’s crazy is that they gave me the same deal that Un and them f**ked up back in the day when they got the Sony/Untertainment deal,” he told her. “I got that joint venture, that 50/50 split, they don’t give those out anymore. That’s a Dame Dash, Ruff Ryders deal. And I’m bout to go crazy with it. I’m gonna be a problem.”

The one thing that relieves me is that JJ didn’t go G-Unit. At least the move to Sony gives a glimmer of hope that DipSet won’t die. To be continued…
