Been tellin’ ya that Tres Coronas is the truth but y’all ain’t listening. [Si] Entertainment caught up with Colombian rap duo to discuss their new album and how they ain’t in no shape or form down with Calle 13.

On the new Machete album:
“We’re going back to Colombia to go work on it because we want to incorporate Afro-Colombian and Colombian music with our sound,” said Rocca. “For the moment Latin hip-hop is Latin because you’re rapping in Spanish and because we’re Latinos. But the sound doesn’t have its own identity yet.”

On Calle 13:
“Calle 13 is Calle 13. Tres Coronas is Tres Coronas. We have nothing to do with what [those dudes do!] He does reggaeton, we do hip-hop,” Rocca told the site. “There is nothing, nothing, nothing similar between us and them! Not the music or the message.”

• yo i keep telling you dudes to check out Lapiz Conciente, he wil put all these spanish rappers to shame. he's going to be performing tonite at Umbrella in NYC, this will be his only performance until November. this kid is no joke i said it once and i"ll say it again he makes Calle 13 sound like Mickey Mouse straight up hear the name and remember it Lapiz Conciente.
