EXCLUSIVE: Omar Cruz Is The Voice Of The Brown People Pt. 2

As promised here's the second part of the exclusive preview of the Latin Lyrical Assassin's album. He has one joint he attacks all the posers, cats that have taken LA Latino culture and made it their own. Please stop frontin.

Then came one of the most heartfelt rap songs since 2Pac’s "Dear Mama." It samples the old school classic "Mi Viejo," which if you don't know you need to check your roots. On it OC focuses on his Colombian pop; how he first lived in Queensbridge and the BX before relocating to Cali. Basically if you have a pop or if he's passed away, this song will get to you; it'll get the hardest of the hard rocks to tear up. Last track I remember was a triumphant one. His pop does the intro saying, "Remember you're a king now act like one!" OC goes on to spit that he's "Cruzito, voice of the brown people." Overall, more than any other Latino MC ever signed to a major (Big Moon Dog included) OC reps Latinos on almost song I heard. Great thing for us but it might be a bit much for non-Latins. Guess what he don’t care. He's spittin from el corazon and from his experiences. Talk verdadero.

Really they're have more African culture now than Taino Indian aspects cus the Europeans slaughtered them off unmercifully! They have the blood but it's hard to keep that spirit of those Natives current.I'm African-american but i hate our mentality in thinking htat we are the ONLY BLACK PEOPLE! Or that we are the ONLY PEOPLE THAT CAN CLAIM THEIR BLACKNESS! According to estimates 40% of Latin America has noticable African DNA! In reality , PUERTO RICAN CULTURE IS MORE AFRICAN THAN AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURE! Think about it, like i said they are our family cus who know who cousins or mothers were seperated during the slave trade. You father might have been broughtto Puerto Rico and your mother might have been brought to Mexico.And yes their were slaves in Mexico and they're are AFRO-MEXICANS who descend from those slaves living still in Mexico today! Plus Puerto ricans still eat rice n beans, a staple of West African diet, still play the drums, just like Africans, eat green bananas , just like West Africans, eat plaintains, just like Africans, and various other cultural elements of Africa. African-Americans on the other hand are more westernized and we haven't retained as much culutural aspect of African culture besides African-americans in the South like the Geechies! And last but not least Puerto Ricans were there in the begginning of Hip Hp rihgt laong side us and they are now in the ghetto! So a couple of ya'll are either either just ignorant of history or not from places like Chicago, N.Y.C, Philly, Boston, Florida etc.. where Puerto Ricans and African- americans live side by side! And alot of Puerto Ricans like African-americans and other Latinos are ignorant of their African ancestry due to the Europeans enslavement of our minds and bodies for soooo long!
