Tego Calderon, "The truth is I can't listen to an entire reggaeton album."

On his recent tour in Spain good ol’ Tego Calderon also gave some interesting interviews to the Iberian country’s media. In a 20minutos.es interview he has some interesting things to say about the genre he’s helped globalize. And is still trying to make mofos understand that he’s an MC first.

On the reggaeton genre:
“The truth is I can’t listen to an entire reggaeton album. That’s why my albums don’t only include reggaeton. It isn’t my preferred genre. I like music that has a message, with sentiments—something that you can notice that you sat down, wrote it and really thought about what you wrote.”

On Marc Anthony:
“He’s a tremendous singer. But it’s not my choice of salsa, I don’t like romantic salsa. Just like I don’t like romantic reggaeton. I don’t like the crybaby songs; I like my music hard and full of happiness and with a message."

• Tego is an ill MC. He's like the only reggaeton I can stand listening to.I dont speak spanish, but alot of my best friends are PR/DR so I hear it all the time. I cant even understand what Tego says, but I can flow with him, you can tell he's an MC and has skills and flow, him and Maestro are the sickest spanish language MCs. Period.
